Best Persian food in bayarea. I have tried all the Persian restaurants and this is the only place where they pay attention to details. I always order Togo and they nicely box the food with proper amounts, use nice pieces of chicken beasts. They food is well cooked and not burnt like other places. They meticulously ensure lavash bread is cut nicely to small pieces. They provide basil unlike others that either don't give you any vegetables with your Kebob or give you a cheap mint. This place used to be so good, I have no idea what has happened, but this place is so horrifically bad now it's ridiculous. - Koobideh ground beef had the worst after taste, as if it was old beef. - The zereshk was mixed with cranberries. Ordered takeout from Reyhan and it was so good! The balance of flavors was perfect. The beef was juicy and not too salty, the tomato was a little sour and tangy and the rice was the perfect base to combine these flavors. Ordered family style and shared with my partner. A mission to find "the best" kabobs in the South Bay and I was 99.9% sure I had found them here at Reyhan. However, I wanted to do a second visit before I could make that proclamation and suffice it to say life happened, and I never made it back. Fast forward five years, and we ended up ordering Reyhan via Doordash® yesterday, and I can indeed confirm they are still fantastic. I'm going to stop short of calling them "the best," but they're def top-5. The Good: *They use chicken thighs for their chicken kabobs, and they're juicy and packed with flavor. *Beef Kofta Kabob (ground beef) was delicious, juicy, and full of great beefy flavor. *The rice was unbelievably fluffy and soft The Meh: *Rice was bland and needed seasoning, but honestly, this is pretty SoP for most Kebab places. You still can't beat the fluffiness! The Ugly: *OK, here's the caveat to this place: super, super hoody location. But not hoody like you're going to get shot or anything, but just in an older, mostly commercial/industrial tract surrounded by mechanics, cement contractor, and a print shop. This used to be my favorite place to order Koobideh Morgh (Ground chicken kabob) in the Bay Area. It was consistent and tasty. Unfortunately, I will never step foot in this place after the owner spoke to me the way she did. Mind you, I've constantly ran into issues with ordering via DoorDash. I order the same thing every time and yet they always give me beef even though I clearly order the chicken. Anyways, since I enjoyed their food so much, I even went so far as to order via DoorDash, call the restaurant, and verify that they were in fact going to send me the chicken. And I was fine with doing that because like I said, I enjoyed the quality of their kabob. Well what turned me off to this place completely was one instance I had ordered over the phone the same thing I always get. I drove about 25-30 minutes to pick it up from my house, only to discover that they didn't have my order right (they made me chicken kabob but it wasn't ground chicken kabob). I then explained very nicely to the owner that that wasn't the correct order. I then was immediately scolded and yelled at, told that it's my fault for not making it clear enough that that's what I wanted. So avoiding further problems, I explained to her that I don't really care who's fault it was, I just want my order. I waited and they prepared the right order and I asked her afterwards what I should do to avoid this in the future and she continued to verbally berate me. At the end of the day, your food can be great. But when the OWNER of all people is the one to turn you off to the whole place, that says a lot. You couldn't pay me to go here ever again. I'd much rather pay more and go to Negeen in Campbell, their food is way better and owners are incredibly welcoming! read more

I went here recently and omg. I AM SO DISGUSTED AND DISAPPOINTED. The food quality has gone down the drain and don't get me started with the owner. She is extremely rude and has no customer service skills. She is also favoring white ppl and Persians over other races. After letting her know our kabobs were raw inside and burned outside instead of apologizing, she told us she will charge for another option. I enjoyed a wonderful Persian tea at Reyhan Restuarant. The sugar cubes were quite delightful compliments with the tea. As the tea is served hot the warmth and flavor of the tea doesn't go by. First time trying Reyhan. I wasn't expecting too much since it looks like a small mom-pop shop in the most unexpected area. I'm so glad I persisted and went ahead with the order & pick up (Note: the online order is not working but you can still order thru DoorDash or call). Ordering and Pickup was super easy. Everything was well packed and boy.... the portion! For entree, we ordered Koobideh and Chicken Kabob. We added a side of Chicken Kabob for the K9 at home (hehe..cheat day!). The amount of meat we were given almost felt like they got the order wrong. It was enough to feed 4-5 adults! The rice was fluffy and well cooked (nothing special.. just awesome basmati!). Food was nice and hot when we picked them up within 25 mins. They provided sides of pita bread and sumac (yums!). There wasn't any yoghurt or sauce unfortunately. I was on my way home and started craving some Mediterranean / Persian kabobs! Yelp to the rescue and Reyhan popped up and I was on a hunt for some koobideh for lunch! I was juggling between 3-4 stars but on the real it's probably a 3.5...bordering to a 4 for food and 2 for location, parking and environment so settling at a 3 star review. Area is sketchy and there is absolutely no parking! Restaurant is kind of hidden off Almaden between all the auto body shops. There are 8 tables inside the restaurant and 2 on the patio right outside of the front door - one on each side. Not sure about the chop shop view tho.... I ordered Togo - food tray was piping hot! Everything was still hot when I got home 13 minutes later! Good could have been seasoned a bit more (tasted a bit bland) but the restaurant definitely packed all the sides as if you're eating there.
