Oren's hummus is really good! The food alone justifies a 5 star rating for the price. But on top of that, the service here punches WAY above the price point. Service is attentive and feels like I'm at a fancy sit down restaurant in the $50/person price range, not a casual $25 range. I highly recommend this location, I'll be coming back here after my sports games instead of Pizza My Heart, our old spot. Pizza my heart is still decent but the food quality is just so much better here for only a slightly higher price point. Good for large groups too. Oren's Hummus...I can't get enough of their delicious sides. Spacious interior with simple decor. The front door funnels you into the line and the towards the cash register. Order via cashier. The staff was very welcoming and cheerful. I picked up a few sides and the "store manager" and young lady were very helpful and got my order together. Another employee, Jalen, was cleaning and making sure everything was good with my order. This store has one of the best staff around! Thanks for your professionalism and care (5/5). Beet Labneh and the thicker style Jaffa hummus made with extra garlic, pinenuts and extra tahini, parsley, olive oil, were among our favorites. The green falafel bites had a nice crunch and were tasty. The hummus orders with meat toppings are good sized portions, the amount of hummus seemed more plentiful than hummus with no toppings although served in the same bowls. It had this perfect balance of creaminess and rich, savory depth that really stood out. The grilled chicken on top was tender and well-seasoned. The pita bread was soft and warm and sturdy enough to scoop up the hummus. Simple dish, but done right. If you're a hummus fan, you have to try it! The hummus is flavorful and dense, pita bread comes out steaming warm. Surprisingly very filling given the carbs and dense hummus. We enjoyed the Jaffa Hummus more than the eggplant because the pine nuts gave the hummus some texture along with the nice garlicky taste. Eggplant was also really good though! The servers here were super attentive and made sure everything was going okay, including checking to ensure our waters were filled. We found this restaurant while walking the beautiful main street of Los Gatos! The restaurant is welcoming, spacious and the staff is so friendly. Special shout out to Dante who made our dining experience memorable! We tried the hummus, pita wrap, kids chicken plate and lamb plate and everything was great! Note: The hummus tasted different than what I usually know ( more tahini flavour) but then the server explained it was a traditional preparation. The food was fresh, the kids meal was great and they have interactive place mats to keep the tots busy while you eat! The mint tea was also delicious and overall it was a lovely experience! OMG! Some girlfriends and I did a road trip along the coast from Oregon down to Southern California. We randomly found Oren's (thanks Yelpers!!). The restaurant itself is clean and the folks working were friendly. It had a little bit of a chain restaurant vibe, but the experience was above that. All nice, but nothing touched the food. Tried the classic Hummus bowl, the chicken pita and green falafels. All very very tasty! The sauces that come on the side are particularly delicious. I went with the white pita and husband went with whole wheat, both were really nice. The service was quick and very friendly in Los Gatos. The ambiance is simple, you go up and order your food at the counter for takeaway or you can dine in. Just one issue with this spot - the restroom is outside the facility and really dirty. It is not well maintained at all. Not sure if it's a public restroom or why it's so dirty, you do need a 6 digit code to use it. I wish they could upgrade the restrooms! Oren Humous became industrially manufactured food. I ordered a Chunky Eggplant Salad and a Romanian Eggplant salad. Both came from a refrigerato, probably prepared industrially at a central location! Rich, creamy, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious & addicting! My husband and I have to control ourselves to not eat the entire container all at once! Since discovering this newer location in Los Gatos last year, we've been coming here regularly to buy hummus (from the to-go fridge section near the cashier), and what makes it even better is that you get freshly baked, warm pita bread when you buy a container of hummus (2 if you buy a large container). You even have a choice of white or wheat too! We always go for the wheat pita bread and purchase an extra 1 or 2 because they are just so good! The restaurant itself is welcoming, spacious and bright. You can't miss the huge crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and the trio of photos on one of the walls of a cute little kid demonstrating "The Hummus Eating Guide," which is simple: Rip, Scoop, Eat! Check, check and check! Every time we've come in (and we've lost count), the cashiers and staff here are always very warm and friendly. We'll be back soon once we run out of hummus again! read more

I used to really enjoy coming here - the food is tasty and you can tell it's good quality. However, this place really needs to add a third $$$ attached as it no where even close to being affordable for what you get. For a basic chicken plate you're looking at almost $31.00. For that price, you'd expect to get a decent amount of food but what I received barely met what I would call, "moderate" portions (on the border of small). They even wanted to charge me for a side of sauce. Not an extra side, just a side (as if I wasn't already being nickeled and dime'd enough). They set up us in their patio and because there was no heaters they went out of their way and purchased six brand-new blankets for us to use in case anyone got cold. If i could give 6 stars I would! my experience here today was so wonderful. Dante greeted my niece and I at the counter (we ordered to-go) and walked us through his recommendations on the menu and even offered us samples of any of the dips we were interested in. we mentioned a tree nut allergy and he was so careful to make sure any dishes we tried or were interested were nut free. we were seated while waiting for our order and shortly after he brought us some water cups. when the food was ready, he double checked the bag with us and then even walked us out and held the door. phenomenal service especially considering it was a togo order. the food was delish as always!! thanks Dante! read more
