Been wanting to check out Negranti ever since tasted their lavender flavor at the Lavender farm when in the area some 2 years ago. Wife and kid didn't care for it, but I enjoyed that novelty flavor and the quality of the ice cream. So many more flavors were. Such a cute area, overall relaxing atmosphere in the Tin City lol. The first thing that hit as we entered the store was the smell of waffle cones! Wife immediately said we need to get waffle cones. Friendly young folks helped with samples and order. Got a cone to share with salted brown sugar & wife always chooses coffee. Both were delicious, creamy, superb quality, and very easy to digest, lol! Even my kid who usually doesn't eat regular ice cream went for the waffle cone with a cookie flavor and he ate it all by himself and loved it! He did not eat any other ice cream during spring break, and he still wants to have this sheep milk ice cream again. Something about sheep milk is just gentler on the body. Should have bought the kid Negranti again on the way down from Paso, when passing thru SLO. Oh well, if don't come back to Paso, maybe will have to get him if we ever go to Phoenix, AZ since I found a location there of all places! If can set up all the way in Arizona, please bring this down to the LA/OC area! Better yet, sell it in the markets, so I can pick it up in Walmart to keep my kid happy!!! read more

Wow. All I can say is sheep milk ice cream for the WIN for those with lactose intolerance or dairy issues. I could not believe this didn't bother my stomach! Mint chip has always been delicious, with chunks of chocolate and a minty flavor, BUT they come up with some amazing flavors you have to try. Negranti creamery is located in Tin city right next door to Olivias de Oro (an olive oil producer company). Upon entering the intimate space it was clean with an open layout. If you haven't guessed it, they serve ice cream and have numerous flavors. Today was a Strawberry mango kindof day, so that's what I ordered. The strawberry mango ice cream was wickedly delicious. I could not wait to make it disappear, like a lady, of course. I would definitely order that again and again. If you're ever in the area, make sure you stop by. I've been meaning to write this review since I had such a great experience! We came in after eating at Etto I needed something sweet to cleanse off that pasta pallet of carbs. We wanted to mask it with sugar lol. Sheep's milk! Who would have thought?! My husband had the crazy cookie, and I opted for the fresh mint. The mint was delicious. Literally not artificial, and the sheep milk is smooth, a little icy, and complemented the mint beautifully. Dare I say the best mint chip I've ever had. Trust when I say I love artisan ice cream. I came here to leave a review about the service though. There was one young girl working, and there were two large families in front of me and no one behind me. She was patient with them as they both had kids and tried different flavors. When everyone left, for some reason I started having a coughing fit. I think I tried to sneeze and cough at the same time and that was just a catalyst lol. Plain embarrassment. She reached for some water handed that to me and I was so grateful that she recognized I was struggling lol. It's the little things we do as humans. Cute stop with unique flavors, but the texture wasn't my favorite We were in the area and saw great online recommendations for this little creamery, so our group of six decided to check it out. It's a tiny shop with a lot of charm, and they even have a small deck in the back where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream if the weather is nice. Between all of us, we tried a wide range of flavors -- everything from salted caramel to classic chocolate. They definitely offer some fun, unique options, which made it a great spot to sample and compare. We also happened to come during a happy hour special, so my small scoop was only $3, which was a nice surprise. While everyone liked the flavors and thought the value was great, we all agreed that the texture leaned more icy than creamy. It wasn't bad, just not the rich, smooth style I personally prefer. Stumbled upon this creamery while walking along Tin City and I'm so happy we tried it! The ice creams are made from goat's milk so the texture is lighter and softer and i feel like the flavor is more. We tried the cookies and cream, pumpkin pie and chocolate. I feel like each new place they open the quality was sacrificed and so is everything I loved about the origional place. They discounted their club where you got fun unreleased flavors and Gone are the days when I order an ungodly amount of the Thai tea ice cream for my summer party. The last batch I had ended up unwanted and with freezer bun. If you knew my family is sacrilegious for ice cream to last longer than a week. Now sheeps milk and I are very compatible. The flavors are soooo good we often buy a pint or two to take home. The shop is very clean and the staff are very friendly and fun. They even let you taste a flavor if you ask. We had a bit of a drive and they kindly provided us with some ice so our delicious sheep's milk ice cream could travel well to be savored at home. The cones are crunchy and very fresh so be sure to order a cone and pick up a pint while you are at it. Reasonable prices for a nice specialty dessert. This place was adorable and the ice cream was delicious. Luckily for us they had one table and two chairs outside so we were able to sample some even though we had our dog with us! We shared a flight of 4 scoops for $10 which one person could easily finish. It allowed us to try multiple flavors. We chose cookies and cream, strawberry basil, blueberry lavender and fresh mint chip and they were all very good. I was surprised that the mint was our favorite but it was just so fresh! The milkshakes are made with oat milk. I was a little confused when the server asked if I wanted whipped cream on top. Sheep milk, oat milk, and cow milk - a trifecta! The milkshake was delicious! Sheep milk might be the superior milk when it comes to consumption as, according to a University of Auckland study, more digestible than cow milk and has more protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals. Negranti Creamery came on my radar as I was browsing through Google Maps for points of interest on my most recent road trip to Monterey. Paso Robles was a halfway point where I planned to stop by for lunch and gifts. I didn't actually stop by Negranti Creamery until my trip back to OC, since I figured I'd have more space in my portable fridge. Sheep's Milk ice cream? Instantly, I thought of the distinct scent of goat's milk - I imagine, a distant cousin of sheep. Luckily, this ice cream doesn't have as strong of a "scent" as goat's milk. The added plus of it being lactose-friendlier than cow's milk ice cream was another plus. Third plus was the flavor Blueberry Lavender - which was actually one of the flavors I was most intrigued about. After yelping a few of their scoop shops, I found the one located at Tin City would probably have the best parking situation, and headed over there. Was greeting warmly by Nicole, in a spacious, pleasantly designed ice cream shop. Nicole was friendly and generous with the samples, since I was trying to decide which pints to get. Pints are $10 each, or 4 for $35 - and I opted for the four pints since I knew on my return trip, I'd have more space in my portable fridge. The four flavors I picked up were: * Blueberry Lavender: 4/5 - the flavors of blueberry and lavender are definitely there, but the consistency was a bit more icy than my liking. * Matcha Green Tea: 4/5 - not the strongest matcha flavor, but the creaminess was apparent and definitely a favorite. * Cinnamon Honey: 3/5 - this reminded me like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal - the flavor that is, not the crunch. It was good, but not a favorite. * Harvest Pumpkin: 5/5 - absolute favorite flavor. It's seasonal, but you can definitely taste the pumpkin, creamyness and the sheep milk. Sheep milk ice cream has a unique taste to it - even as the "base" to all these flavors. It's nothing gross or anything - but if you've had goat's milk, you know there's that distinct taste that's different from cow's milk. Overall, it was a nice change to the typical ice cream I like to get. If you get their 4 pints for $35 deal, it's not that bad compared to pints of other premium ice cream. On Tuesdays, you get 20% off all pints, so that's another plus. The ice cream store itself is cutely decorated, with a pleasant outdoor seating area overlooking parts of Tin City. I think this will be a new stop on the way back from any future road trips passing through Paso Robles! read more

Had heard about this place as a must visit when in Tin City. We stopped in after lunch nearby for dessert and it didn't disappoint. For 2 people, we got the flight of 4 for $10 which is a deal given a kiddo cup is $5.5. The staff were very nice and let us try many flavors. We got the blueberry lavender, cinnamon sugar, cookies and cream (since it is their most popular) and strawberry basil. All flavors very unique and delicious. Even comes with a triangle of waffle cone in each which is cute. The quality is not the creamiest I've had, and it seemed to melt rather quickly even when eating it indoors in their AC. However, we were still looking for something to satisfy a sweet tooth, so we were happy to come upon this ice cream shop from a local creamery. Apparently Negranti's specialty is sheep's milk in their ice cream, but they also offer standard cow's milk as well as sorbet and pure vegan options. All their ice cream here is made from sheep's milk, which has little or no lactose. They usually have about 15-20 delicious flavors that can be dished up in a cup or cone. Flavors range from standard chocolate, vanilla, and chocolate chip to strawberry basil and lavender blueberry. Every flavor we've ever tried has been amazing! There are about 3 different sizes of cups. You can also order a flight of 4 different scoops. That's what we did last time. The service at Negranti has always been great. First time trying sheep milk ice cream and it's SO yummy! Husband and I split a flight - we got mint chip, Thai iced tea, coffee, & cookies and cream. I loved how the flight also came with a piece of waffle cone (although there's inconsistency in service. We got 4 pieces while our friends that also got a flight only got 2 pieces) Mint chip- I have a soft spot for mint chip and it's usually one of my go to flavors. This one wasn't minty enough for me and was my husband's least favorite of the 4 Thai tea- strong thai tea flavor but not too sweet. Was probably my favorite since it's a hard flavor to execute!
