Heyyyyyy you guyyyyyys! This is a low key spot downtown Sanford with authentic Caribbean vibes representing Jamaican cuisine. Super excited to try it and it is definitely a hit! The patties are fresh, hot, some are spicy some aren't, they have a wide variety and apparently everyone knows how yum bc people just kept coming in and ordering. The main dish we opted for is jerk chicken and it's so delicious! Order in or take out! Let's eat!!

The place is clean. No wait in a Sunday night. Server was friendly. Good turnaround was 10mins. Ordered the Oxtail. It was tender, the meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. It was spiced right. The cabbage was medium, not too soft and blended well with the beans. It was a good Meal. Will recommend this place for oxtails.

Oh yeah, this place is it! Ordered to-go for coworkers and I after having a rough morning at work. Was recommended by a coworker to try this place out because I was craving jerk chicken. I ordered the jerk chicken meal that came with two sides: I chose white rice and sweet plantains. The portions are out of this world, definitely worth the $10! It came with half a chicken, a whole side plate of rice and two sweet plantains. The jerk chicken was just the perfect amount of spice and the chicken was still tender and juicy. It definitely reminded of my time in Montego years ago. This place lives up to the reviews, and the employees are nothing but sweet and full of joy. A One-Love feeling! * My other two coworkers ordered the coco curry chicken which explains why it was saucy in my take out. That was also delicious too! Not spicy!

So my jerk pork was excellent. The lady's oxtail she said was good but not great. Rice and peas was on point. I just needed more sauce. The jerk sauce has a great taste and spice to it. Been wanting to try this place for a min. Excellent customer service and I think they may be moving to an ever better spot soon..... maybe near some farmers market!?!? Idk but good for them.

First time trying this Jamaican place down the road in downtown Sanford. We tried some Jerk Ribs and Jerk Chicken. The meal was served with rice and peas, cabbage and mixed vegetables, and plantain. Everything was very well seasoned, and really delicious! We washed our lunch down with a couple of beers. We got the medium size portion and it was still a lot of food. The only thing I regret is it took me so long to try it!

Ordered this for pick up. I had the beef stew (medium size). It was a huge portion size, like enough for two meals. I do wish they would include more cabbage. It's a mountain of rice and meat with a little bit of cabbage. The meat was very tender and seasoned very well. I would recommend

Brought my son for his first taste of Jamaican food and he is hooked! He ate the beef patty, and took oxtail and jerk chicken to go. He can not wait to go back! From what I see and smell this place is home style! I miss being able to eat Jamaican food! I know there are some things that can be modified with my dietary restrictions but my son loves it and that is good enough for me!

I really, really wanted to support this Jamaican restaurant and give them a fair chance, especially…read moresince it was my first visit after living in the area for over a year. According to my receipt, I placed my order at 12:43 PM. I ordered 3 curry chicken Jamaican patties, 2 cocoa bread, 1 fresh carrot juice, 1 pound cake, and a medium jerk chicken meal with white rice, sweet plantains, cabbage, and brown stew gravy on the rice. My total came to a little over $40, which I felt was reasonable, and I even left a tip. At first, everything seemed fine. However, as time passed, I noticed customer after customer receiving their food and leaving. Many of them had ordered dishes such as oxtail and curry goat, with rice and peas, while I was still waiting on a jerk chicken meal with white rice. After approximately 6 customers came and went, I went to the counter to ask about my order. I was told it was coming another 5 customers came and went. After waiting even longer, I went back up a second time. The employee looked at me and said, "Oh yes, you did come here. I looked at your face and said it was coming." She went to the back, and another 20 more minutes passed. Eventually, she returned with a container and handed it to me. I immediately realized it wasn't my order because I had ordered a medium meal, and what she handed me was clearly a small. I had to pull out my receipt to show her. She checked it, confirmed I had indeed ordered a medium, and went back to correct it. Another 10 minutes passed before she finally returned with the correct size meal. When she handed it to me, there was no bag, no utensils, and no apology for the mix up or the excessive wait. I finally left the restaurant at 2:12 PM. That means I waited approximately 1 hour and 29 minutes for what I considered a relatively straightforward order. What made the experience even more disappointing was the customer service throughout the restaurant. One employee appeared visibly annoyed when customers approached. At one point, customers came in simply asking to purchase water and were told, "No, I'm not taking orders," instead of being directed to someone who could assist them. As a result, those customers simply left. As for the food itself, I did eat it, but it was not what I expected. The jerk chicken was disappointing because it wasn't grilled, smoked, or even baked the way jerk chicken is traditionally prepared. Instead, it tasted more like a spicy brown stew chicken. The flavor wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't the jerk chicken I was expecting when I placed my order. I was also surprised to find that my meal came with only one sweet plantain. My original plan was actually just to stop by for patties because they were less expensive than another Jamaican restaurant I frequently visit. I decided to give this place a chance and order a full meal because I believe in supporting Caribbean-owned businesses and trying new places. Unfortunately, this experience reminded me why I usually stick with the restaurants I already know and trust. The issue wasn't the price I thought the food was reasonably priced. The problem was the excessive wait time, lack of organization, poor communication, and disappointing customer service. For a first time customer, this was not a good experience, and based on this visit, I don't see myself returning.

I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. I also added a beef patty. Service was quick and friendly, and my food was ready without a long wait. Let me just say, this is what authentic jerk is supposed to taste like. The rice and peas were well seasoned and balanced. The cabbage was cooked perfectly, tender but not mushy. The portion sizes were generous, easily enough for more than one meal. The jerk chicken was the standout. It was seasoned to perfection, bold, spicy, and full of that signature smoky depth that defines true Jamaican jerk. The heat level was right, the flavor layered, and every bite delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The beef patty was decent, though not as memorable as the jerk. Still solid, just not the star of the meal. After trying several places in search of authentic flavor, I can confidently say I have found my new go to spot. I will definitely be back. The giant NOW OPEN banner was flapping like it personally invited me, and the storefront painted in bold Trinidad flag colors looked ready to hand out citizenship papers with every order. I walked in thinking I'd grab a quick bite. Rookie mistake, one look at the doubles and suddenly I'm ordering five. Then I'm calling my aunt and cousin like it's a family emergency: "Allyuh want doubles? Because these looking SERIOUS." Next thing you know, I'm walking out with ten doubles like I'm catering a small festival. And let me tell you, these doubles? Soft bara, perfectly seasoned channa, pepper and tamarind sauce hugging everything like a warm Caribbean auntie. I've basically been on a doubles‑only diet since, and honestly, I feel spiritually aligned. I even ate one cold from the fridge and it still slapped. That's when you know it's real. Then there's the boneless curry chicken with buss‑up‑shut. Pure comfort. The kind of meal that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The potatoes were soft enough to spread on a cracker, the channa was rich and earthy, and the chicken tasted like somebody's grandmother was in the back whispering, "Put a lil' more seasoning, nah." The buss‑up‑shut was fluffy, torn, and ready to scoop up every drop of curry like it had a mission. And the pepper sauce? Flavorful. Respectful. Not trying to fight me or send me to the ER. A rare and beautiful thing. The place is clean, the parking is plentiful, and the staff has real Trini accents that instantly make everything feel more authentic. Even the way they say "Next!" has rhythm. Next time, I'm calling ahead for dhal phourie, because clearly this place does not miss and I'm not risking it selling out. If you see me there again, mind your business! I'm probably ordering another ten doubles and living my best life.

Terrible Customer Service & Repeated Disrespect…read more Unfortunately, after multiple experiences here, I can no longer recommend or support this establishment. Being that Deltona does not have many Caribbean restaurants, my mother has continued trying to support this small business despite several issues with incorrect or incomplete orders over time. The biggest issue is not even always the food, it's the customer service from the man working the counter. Every single time we've had to address a missing item or incorrect order, he has been rude, dismissive, and disrespectful instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally. Today was the final straw. My mother waited over an hour for 3 orders, only to realize that part of the food she already paid for was missing. She then had to drive back to the restaurant to get the missing items. When I explained that it was unfair for her to wait an additional 25 minutes after already spending over an hour there, the employee immediately became defensive, cut us off while speaking, raised his voice, and was once again extremely disrespectful. At this point, this is no longer an isolated incident. This has become a consistent pattern every time there is an issue with an order. Customers should not be treated poorly simply for asking for the food they paid for or trying to correct a mistake. I truly wanted to support this business, but repeated bad experiences and unacceptable customer service have made that impossible. I will no longer be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

I noticed online that they offer mac and cheese and wanted to add it to my order, but I was told it would not be ready for a while. Since it was already past lunch time, that was a little surprising. One thing they do well is portion size. The serving was very generous and easily enough for more than one meal. They are not shy with the oxtail gravy, and that gravy was rich and flavorful. The rice and peas were also solid, well cooked and nicely balanced. Where the experience fell short was the jerk chicken. Authentic jerk should have bold seasoning, depth, heat, and that unmistakable smoky flavor from proper preparation. This tasted more like baked chicken with minimal seasoning. It lacked the spice profile and complexity that defines true jerk. For a dish that is meant to be the highlight, it simply did not deliver.
