Not bad, wears its heritage on its sleeve but not on their food Wanted to try one more breakfast spot, so came to this place right next to the coffee spot I adore to give them a try. They were not ready for me to come in, so I ended up waiting up front for a couple minutes till someone came over. They started in Spanish, but switched to English once I responded in English. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, mainly because I wanted something quick. 15 minutes later and 10 dollars down, got my breakfast sandwich. It was fresh, but they don't make these things very often so it took them a while. As for the sandwich, it was very much just the items on the menu and nothing else. No flavor, no spices, no sauce, just a plain egg and turkey sandwich with cheese. The bread was good, the rest was just bland. I do understand that eggs are pricy, and a place that doesn't do breakfast traditionally would have a harder time executing those dishes. What I got had no soul, no passion. And when the location advertises itself so loudly it's a shame to see that same enthusiasm not expressed in their food. If they get a chance to read this review, bring the flavor in everything you do. Throw some sofrito on things, make some sauces and bring the heat. Sprinkle some saizon, make some adobo aoli, your location screams Puerto Rico, show it off in everything you do. If you can't make a dish that is representative of your people, the don't serve it. I'm hoping the rest of their fare is much better, but as a breakfast joint they just don't have the desire to do well. Avoid for breakfast, but overall not bad. Just very basic

I was not aware of any Puerto Rican restaurants in Sanford until I found this place by accident. So glad I did give them a try. It is a small, but cozy restaurant with a great staff. They were very friendly and warm people. If you're in a hurry, you can order food from the steam table (a staple of PR restaurants). Everything in that table looked delicious. If you are willing to wait for your food, they have a pretty good a la carte menu. I had the Mofongo with Shrimp in Garlic sauce. It was a solid dish. Absolutely delicious. And they didn't skimp on the shrimp either. It was a large portion and I am definitely not complaining about that. In my opinion, the owners hit a homerun with this restaurant. I wish them the best of luck. Will definitely go back while in the area.

I love Puerto Rican food so I had to come here and try this place out! It's a bit small but it's very clean and nicely decorated inside. The staff here are super friendly. I got arroz con gandules, beans on the side, and chicken. The food was pretty good. I was surprised how much chicken they gave me! My mom got the white rice with pork and sweet plantains. She really enjoyed her meal as well and said it reminded her of the food back home. If you are in the area definitely give them a try! You will not leave hungry. The plates here are packed!

Had to try this Puerto Rican restaurant. It's very casual and super clean inside. It's a walk up and order kind of place. I was excited to see all the food choices. My only complaint is a lot of the items have olives in it. I know this is a Puerto Rican thing, but I still am not a fan of them. Ha! I just pick them out. For those of you who are, enjoy! Service was quick and friendly. They make fried food fresh, like my alcapurria. I was happy this didn't have olives. The quesito was good, but just wish it had more quesito in it. I'll definitely be back for this delicious food and great portion size for the money.

I ordered door dash so this review is based on the food, I ordered a simple ham and cheese sandwich and the alcapuria. The sandwich was good love the game and the bread just wish it was toasted more . The alcapuria was pretty good not the best I have haf but pretty good. In all I would try it again

If you're craving traditional Puerto Rican dishes that hit the spot every time, this is the place to be. My absolute go-to is the pernil with arroz con gandules (pigeon peas rice). The pernil is always perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor, just like I remember from family gatherings back home. Walking into the restaurant feels like stepping into a little corner of Puerto Rico. The vibe, the decor, it all reminds me of the restaurants I've visited on the island. It's super authentic, from the food to the atmosphere. The staff is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile and making sure you feel at home. What really sets Pa'lla Voy apart is not just the delicious food, but the whole experience. It's like a quick getaway to Puerto Rico without leaving Sanford. Whether you're grabbing lunch or dinner, the flavors and warmth of the place never disappoint. If you love Puerto Rican food or want to try something new, I can't recommend Pa'lla Voy enough. You won't leave hungry because their portion sizes are fit for a king or queen, and you'll definitely want to come back!

Wow! It takes alot to impress my OG Hispanic parents, but lunch today was a feast for all of us. Pa'lla Voy in Sanford, just over a year old, has many patrons lining up for their delicious Puerto Rican food served in VERY generous portions. The restaurant, next to Quigley Coffee on Rinehart Road, is large with plenty of seating. Brunch is available AND they cater. The standards in Hispanic cuisine, pernil and arroz con gandules, are available and I guarantee whatever you order, you'll have leftovers for lunch the next day. This place is an absolute gem and I recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a legit Hispanic meal. Delicioso! 10/10

They had me at Chicharrón! After driving past this place and always seeing it full I thought I would give it a try. We ordered beef and chicken empanadas and 1/2 of pound of Chicharrón as a starter, then we had half a chicken and a canoa for our mains with sides of rice and plantains. The Chicharrón were amazing! The empanadas were fantastic, and the canoa is a sweet plantain boat filled with picadilla was maybe my favorite. The chicken was good also. The rice was ok, but I wish I ordered the pigeon peas and rice. Solid food, nice clean environment.

Walked in during my lunch break for a quick bite to eat. Upon walking in I could tell this place is normally busy. I walked up to the counter and got greeted right away. The young lady asked if I wanted food from buffet line or special order. I decided to go with the quicker option. They had an array of food on the steam table. Pros -quick service , friendly staff , lots of options for Spanish food lovers Cons- pricey

Heyyyyyy you guyssssss!! This small lil hole in the wall serves authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Modern decor, friendly staff. We went in for breakfast, they do have egg sandwiches and frituras like alcapurrias and empanadas. Everything was made to order so it was HOT and FRESH, would totally go back! Cafe con leche 10 outta 10 and the parcha juice was great as well. Support local business stop in and check them out!

First time at this crown jewel of a location and we love it! The food, the service and the portion were plenty! The food was DELICIOUS! Worth the travel to stop in and enjoy a great Puerto Rican cuisine! The ambiance is great, seating is plenty for an entire family to sit and enjoy while hearing it's music to your ears. Priced fairly and reasonably well and well worth every penny! I know this place will be serving many more happy customers for years to come! Will be one of my favorite places to go and have that island flavor when needed. Best of luck to the owners and their staff, great job! WEPA!

Our overall rating is 3*'s. The folks who work here are very pleasant. The dining room is well decorated. There's no mistaking what the cuisine will be. We ordered a pernil Papa Locas ($14) and both street ($13/5) and birria ($14/3) tacos. We wanted to get a churrasco Mofongo ($35) thinking we'd have plenty of leftovers, but we realized we were simply running out of money. We love Puerto Rican food. We often stop at Lelo's in Orange City when we're in Volusia county and get Mfongo's and the rotisserie chicken and the pork and their daily specials. Our expectation was high tonight because of all the buzz. We really wanted it to be good. And what we ate was good. The employees and the ambience were both great. We enjoyed everything. But why so expensive? We make a good living and we both appreciate fine things - we willingly pay extra for high quality when we feel it is justified. But what we paid tonight didn't bear any correlation to our dinner. These sky-high prices reminded us of Disney. Everything at WDW is inflated: whether the captive audience syndrome because Disney knows their customers have no alternatives; or they just price everything ridiculously high because it's Disney. Unfortunately for this restaurant, it's not Disney. And there are dozens and dozens of alternatives surrounding their building and within a short 10-15 min drive. We wish the owners well. They certainly know how to prepare tasty Puerto Rican food. However, we both agreed we won't be going back because we frankly just don't see the value. Way too expensive.

The decorations with the plants and decor go well together. There is no question that there is Puerto Rican pride there! The hanging chair was also fun! The dinner I had there was also excellent! We sat in this time and had a Tripleta and Canoas. All the flavors were there for both! We also had a tamarind bucket drink! It was so refreshing, and not everywhere offers it! From the first bite, the flavors hit perfectly. The meats were seasoned and cooked just right, layered with fresh toppings that brought balance and texture to every mouthful. There's a richness to it, but it never feels overwhelming--just straight-up satisfying comfort food done right. Now, I'll be honest--the bread was slightly on the soggy side. But here's the thing... it didn't take away from the experience. If anything, it soaked up all that flavor, and once you leaned into it, it worked. Every bite still delivered. Pairing it with a Coco Rico? That was the move. The coconut sweetness cut through the savory flavors of the sandwich perfectly--it's one of those combinations you don't realize you need until you try it. Even though I ordered pickup, the experience still stood out. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and gave off that genuine "you're family here" vibe that you can't fake. 10/10--absolutely recommend. Dropped in on an early-Tuesday night to find the place already had a few patrons in it. We were warmly greeted by Carla (who served us very well) and asked if we had ever been here before (no), and then were given the time to review their menu, ask questions, and finally make our selections. My wife had a couple of their Pizza Empanadas, while I chose the Chicken Mofungo (sp?). For an appetizer of sorts we ordered their ham croquetas. The food came out made-to-order and it was hot and fresh. My wife loved their empanadas, and my order was a massive serving of chicken corn meal, and a small side salad of sorts. The mofongo comes with an incredibly delicious garlic sauce that just makes the whole meal work even more than it was already working. We shared two desserts - the Tres Leches along with a guava cake roll I can't recall what it was called. The Tres Leches was just the right size (as this is a traditionally sweet treat) and the cake roll was sizeable - so it made sense to share that. Truly walked away feeling good about this place - from the welcoming decor, the staff, and of course the food - I hope the local (including me) give this place the love it deserves...

The lady helping us (pretty sure it was the owner) was incredibly friendly and patient, guiding us through the menu like old friends. We paid, grabbed a table, and dug in. My wife took one bite of the rotisserie chicken and declared it the best she's had in ages--juicy, perfectly seasoned, and falling off the bone. No surprise there; we spotted those massive rotisserie ovens spinning away, so chicken is clearly their specialty! She then tried the yuca (boiled and crispy-edged, I assume) and loved it--said it was buttery and addictive. Her yellow rice had tasty chunks of different meats mixed in, and she couldn't stop raving about the flavor. I mixed my yellow rice (a different style from hers) with the red beans on the plate--pure comfort food heaven, rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. The sweet plantains? Outstanding.
