We went to Neja Palace in Yonkers for dinner after my cousin had ordered from there and raved about how good the food was. Since we enjoyed it so much, we decided to visit in person and check it out for ourselves. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by two friendly staff members. We ended up dining in a large room that seemed set up for a dinner party or special event. Soft Indian music played in the background, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant was clean, organized and nicely decorated. We also noticed that the location doubles as a catering hall, with several different spaces available for private events. The service was provided with a smile. The staff was attentive and accommodating, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy at the tiime; there were only a few other patrons dining all taking their leftovers home. The food was even more delicious. We ordered samosas, garlic/chili naan, and Chicken Tikka Masala. All was so flavorful and yum. There is plenty of parking right outside, and the restaurant is conveniently located across from a shopping area, making it easy to find and access. My go to spot when I'm craving for Indian food. My husband and I always order delivery here. We love their tikka masala with chicken, so flavorful and delicious. The food also comes in hot. Will have to dine-in one of these days. They also have an all you can eat weekend lunch buffet and dinner buffet from Monday to Thursday. Such a great deal. Indian food holds a special place in my heart. I love all the spices that one dish can hold. And each dish is as mouthwatering as the last. For today's dinner we ordered the Paprichat as our appetizer. They also give a crispy fried bread served with chutney and a tamarind sauce as complimentary. The Paprichat is the best damn thing ever! Has all the components you would want. It's crispy, spicy, creamy and sooo flavorful. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. For our entree we got the Shrimp Makhani and the Vegetable Korma. Makhani and Korma are definitely are usual. The Makhani is a wonderful robust creamy tomato sauce which I always recommend for first timers. The Korma is a wonderful creamy sauce made of cashews, yogurt and cardamom. The entrees come with rice but you need to order a side of garlic naan and maybe double it! I love dipping the naan in the sauce. With the char on the naan it just enhances the flavors! We also loveeee getting the Lychee Martini here. They make it perfect. Nice and strong and sweet with a lychee as a garnish is the perfect component for a delicious meal. Can't wait to be back soon! read more

I ordered delivery from here. Their menu felt a little bit disorganized. Instead of having dedicated sections for meat and vegetarian entrees, some classic dishes were mixed into a "favorites" category and you could essentially choose your sauce base and then choose your protein. So some of the paneer options felt a bit hidden, but we found them eventually. Everything arrived hot and fresh. All the entrees were served with rice. The vegetable samosas were crispy and tasty. An order came with two. The saag paneer and paneer tikka masala were both creamy, rich, and flavorful. I forgot to ask for extra spicy, but they were still satisfying. The garlic naan was buttery and the garlic flavor definitely came through. Their peshawari naan was unexpected. Usually I've seen it prepared with raisins and nuts. This one seemed to only have brightly colored coconut. It was still quite sweet. My family also enjoyed the lamb tikka masala, tandoori chicken, and tandoori shrimp. I recently read a review about this place saying the manager is racist! SHE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! She is friendly, greets everyone with a smile and ensures that her staff do the same. She remembers the faces and names of her patrons and always goes above and beyond. The food whether its indian or indo-chinese is always amazing! We have had many family gatherings there (35-50 people) never once have i had an issue...in fact its always the opposite. I ask them to stop being so nice! Neha Palace in Yonkers has Saturday and Sunday all you can eat brunch for $25. Of course, drinks costs are separate from the buffet style meal.  They had an assortment of tasty dishes. The spicy items for each of the dishes I chose were well prepared and not over or under done. My husband was also quite satisfied. Included on the menu were different types of well prepared dishes - meats, basmati rice, dal and chick peas along with salad and two types of desserts. For those of you who are interested they do serve halal meat. We had a glass of wine each and were surprised to find that the house wine was of a good quality and reasonably priced per glass. And I can't forget the bread since I'm a big bread mouth. The naan bread place on the table was fresh and delicious and went well with the dal. Seating accommodations were well spaced and you didn't feel like you would choked-up next to the other guest. The bathroom was clean and well kept. Soap and hand towels were provided in abundance. Staff service was attentive and very polite. I appreciated that they did not hover over you all the time but came to you in a timely manner. Would highly recommend. It is now on my radar. read more

My hubby and I went to this restaurant first Valentine Day we were looking for something different and Neha did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The staff were very warm and welcoming. They made several recommendations about the most popular food dishes and I found that very helpful because my husband doesn't eat spicy food but I do. So we were able to find something that fit our palates. We were encouraged to come to their buffet on Saturday and Sunday.We came brought our son. There was a wide ranges if dishes from Chicken Marsala to Goat and Butter Chicken.Serveral vegetable options Naan and Rice Pudding. The prices are reasonabless and the atmosphere is wonderful. Probably one of the best in the area. It's authentic. The tikka masala is very close to chicken makhani but we found that the tikka uses brown meat and is softer and juicier. It's creamy and yummy. Great portions, plenty for leftovers! The garlic naan is another one of our staples. The restaurant is perfectly located close to the Cross County Mall, movie theaters and grocery store. The chicken wings unfortunately were very dry and I was really looking forward to having non fried chicken wings but I barely ate one. The mushroom pickled appetizer was good. Especially dipping it on the karahi sauce. And the white rice was how you would expect it to be. If it wasn't for the very dry wings I'd probably give it a five star. Ps. Neha palace is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the yonkers area. The food is flavorful, fresh and there is a great variety on the menu. However, what makes this restaurant special is not only the food, but the waiter, Patrick. He goes above and beyond to please his guests and offers great suggestions when ordering. Patrick makes you feel like family. He's down to earth and very welcoming. He's also a movie buff so we always get the down low on the newest films . The venue has a parking lot. The restaurant also has a banquet hall which caters to many parties. Just be aware that if you go to the restaurant during a party/event the parking lot may be full or you may have to valet your vehicle. We have tried various appetizers on this menu, the fried fish, pakoras (fritters vegetable/cheese), samosas, chaat, pani puris, tawa crab etc. Everything is tasty. The food is not overly spicy or salty. Dinner portions are large and easy to share. We often have the chicken and salmon sizzler, grilled to perfection and served sizzling hot! Sides usually include basmati rice and mint and tamarind chutneys. The cost is a little pricey, but well worth it. The venue also has a full service bar with mixed cocktails and beer. Dessert is also available. I always get the malai kulfi (ice cream/homemade) so yummy! During the day, the restaurant has a lunch buffet with a good selection of items. I have been eating from Neha 2016 and I didn't know they had a hall. I had my reception here it was wonderful and affordable! The owner Diya is very accommodating and she made sure everything went perfect our reception night. The Food is also 10/10 and the Staff is 10/10. Neha is a bit hit or miss. There are times where it is pretty darn good and others when it tastes like it was quickly thrown together and lacking in flavor. My guess is that there is a divide in skill set among the cook staff. To give an idea of the lesser times, the food either tasted like the sauce was thrown on last minute instead of stewed with the protein or it tasted like it had been cooking at too high a temp for a short period which left it rubbery rather than tender and falling apart. I've gone a few times over the last 3 years or so, always had a good experience, and plan to continue to go. This is a mainline, mainstream Indian American restaurant -- I don't know where they're from in India, because they seem to have no regional specialties afaik. Most recently got samosas, vindaloo and tikka massala plus some paratha, all tasty. Their portions are quite large, which is reflected in seemingly high prices, but you can get leftovers out of the deal. The people are always very nice, but the service is slow and the food takes a bit to arrive. This isn't a problem, so long as you're not in a rush. I've never ordered takeout from here, btw, or made it to one of their buffets. Your mileage may vary with dishes other than the main set of curries. read more

So what I find interesting about this restaurant and the reviews I've read so far is this: the good reviews are correct. The bad reviews are also correct. I ordered twice in the same week and had two very different experiences. The first order was placed through Seamless and was fantastic. The food arrived quickly, it was hot and fresh and very tasty. The flavors were intense and just the right amount of spicy. It was truly a joy to eat and even better the next day. Also, they included plates and utensils, which was awesome. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we ordered again three days later. The second order was placed directly with the restaurant. It took significantly longer for the food to be delivered but at least the food was warm - not hot like it was the first time but I'm not nitpicking. No plates or utensils this time - not the end of the world, just inconsistent. The food was not good. The entrees were watery - soup like - and bland. So bland. Also worth mentioning is the texture. The chicken was chewy in a weird way. It made me feel like they packed up leftovers from the buffet, it was honestly not pleasant. I'm not sure why there was such a difference but it's concerning for any restaurant to show such inconsistencies in both food quality and service. I'd try them again because if it's a good day and we can get a repeat of our first experience, I'm all in. That being said, a repeat of our second experience would result in a "never again" from me. read more
