I made an appointment and had a dental plan written up and the dental work began. Half was through the plan, I was told they only quoted me on half the plan cost. With more work to go and more than two thousand into the plan. I sought a second opinion. So glad I did! They had done unnecessary work, and charged exorbitant prices. This is my first review on Yelp- I was so dissatisfied that I felt I had to post something somewhere. These guys are crooks. When I used them for the first time for a cleaning, without asking when I had my last xrays, they tried to give me xrays. I refused because I was pregnant and had had xrays not that long ago. They acted like I was the one who was nuts. Then they tried to push their cosmetic services when my teeth are perfectly fine. THEN I got a bill for xrays that I didn't have. THEN when I contacted my insurance, I found that my insurance had given them a payment for the xrays, so they charged me for the xrays even though my insurance paid for them. This office is clearly only out to make money- stay away. read more

I ended up coming to this office after having numerous issues with the location in Stonebridge and initially things started off really well, but it quickly went downhill. There are a couple of things that bothered me about the time at this location. Whenever I was there it seems like they were constantly trying to find ways to nickel and dime me. I remember one specific time when I was having my mouth examined and I had some equipment in my mouth, when my hygienist at the time, asked me did I want to get some service done, that was basically not covered by my insurance. I even had one hygienist who added flouride to my mouth without even asking and I ended up paying out of pocket. Is it expensive to get these things? No but at the end of the day it's my money. If I don't want to get it, that's my right and I should have the fair opportunity to refuse it. But then we get to my daughter who had issues with her teeth. We were told she needed a fitted mouth piece in her mouth when she slept in order to help her teeth straighten out. That seemed very reasonable, but we were told that the process would only take 6 months and she would have periodic check ins. Instead the process dragged on and on, over a year until we put a stop to it. My daughter only went for check ups every few months, but for some odd reason the office was billing our insurance as if she was going monthly. I didn't feel comfortable how the situation was handled and I felt like we were mislead. In addition to this, I also had a situation where I had issues with my insurance coverage that eventually got resolved. It caused me to have to pay some out of pocket expenses in order to keep my account current, but the insurance company eventually corrected what they had for me and ended up issuing a check to the office and in turn they were supposed to provide me a refund. The insurance company is based out of Alexandria. They sent the check and I checked with the office after 3 days to see if it had arrived. I was told it had not. I asked the insurance company and they stated the exact date it was sent and even gave me the check number. I waited until a week had past and I called Neibauer again. I was told it had not arrived. I said that doesn't make sense since Alexandria is literally only a few miles up the road, no way does it take over a week for a check to be sent. So I asked the insurance company to contact the office and magically just as I was about to do that, the check arrived that day. How convenient? That was my final straw. I haven't gone back to their office since because they blatantly lied to me about receiving this check in which didn't bother them because ultimately they weren't getting any money out of it. It was just basically my money they had to pass on to me. That said a lot to me about how they valued me as a customer. I'm not sure what is going on with this office, but it seems very clear that customer service is lacking. When they see customers they see $$, not fellow members of the community in which they serve. I have noticed a huge difference in the quality of care once I left this office. Things that I was told are issues, aren't issues, things I was suggested to get, I was told aren't as serious as they portray. I would not recommend anyone going to this location. read more

I see the Neibauer office in Manassas and am fine with that location. However, i was temporarily working close to the Woodbridge location when i was having pain in my gums, with severe irritation and sensitivity in my gums to the point it felt like the teeth were coming loose. So, i called to stop in and get my mouth looked at. The doctor was not helpful at all. He stated i needed braces. I am 47 years old and do not need braces, i would have been told that a long time ago by many dentists but not one ever said that. Then, the office proceeded to charge me for this evaluation out of pocket $50 never telling me it might cost me out of pocket. I get the feeling this office and dentist (a male dentist that works there) is out to get money out of people unnecessarily. I will not be back ever. I left there still not knowing what was going on and with an out of pocket bill when my insurance wouldn't pay for the way they billed it because i already had a cleaning less than 6 months earlier. I knew I had a cleaning & checkup within the last 6 months and explained to the office this is not a checkup or cleaning as I have a regular dentist i see and this is an emergency pain appointment. I asked will this cost me extra out of pocket?? Not a trust worthy dentist. read more

I would NOT recommend this office for dental care. During an appointment for checkup and cleaning I was told I needed 2 crowns in place of overlays as one overlay had a small hole. I had been told by another dentist of the hole, so I thought I'd go ahead and get that crown. They said I might as well get both done at once. It costs the same as my previous expensive dentist and after seeing the color, which didn't match at all, I was disappointed to say the least. They also had me sign a form that I was happy with the color on my way out, without even showing me the crown! About a month after getting the final crowns in I felt something crunch while eating cereal one morning. Needless to say it was one of the crowns that had come out, not the cereal. Luckily I found the crown and called the office that day. They took me the next day, and told me that the dentist who had done the crowns had left their practice. A new, young dentist re-applied the crown with much effort and causing some pain. I mentioned the poor color to him and he said they would have to take the other one out and start from scratch. Just had to add after even more exceptional care from this dentist and staff. (I am a picky medical professional and no, I do not get any 'perks' and have no connection whatsoever with this dentist). The office manager worked tirelessly insuring coordination with my insurance benefits and finance. My very young, emotional, and frightened daughter was treated last night to some "laughing gas" and 4 employees assisting bedside telling jokes and laughing with her to calm her. They are all blessed with the patience of JOB and went far beyond the call of duty, exceeding any of my own capabilities for cajoling, bribing, pleading with a patient to gain trust and deliver expert care. Thank you Keshia, Yolanda, Laura, Jenny, and Dr. Dhillon for again, an amazing family experience. I observed several other diverse families receiving the same level of care and kindness during my wait in the office, as the crew gave my daughter a few breaks and some computer game time. I added a recent picture so you can see the top teeth where I had the cap replacements (8) from childhood adjustments that were 15-25 years old. Today my condition would be resolved differently but at my ripe old age (let's just say over 50) I have to live with what I got, so to speak. I've had many compliments of the work done by this staff and the work is smooth, comfortable and pretty-- just like my own teeth. You can't lose at this office. The coffee is fresh, I've been waited on immediately, the team is fluid, friendly, even loving. You leave feeling like you spent time with real friends. Jenny is definitely corporate material, but I hope she never leaves. read more

I recently started having a lot of tooth trouble and have visited 2 other dental offices before finally settling here, and when I say "settle" I don't mean it like it was my last option. I mean I felt at home at this office and they treated me like family. By far my favorite dental office and the staff here is amazing. I havn't had the chance to work with every single one of them and I surely hope I don't need that much work to where I end up meeting them all heh but Doc Boudreau was great, he explained everything as things came up and made me feel very comfortable with my treatment plan and that it was the correct path to take. The dental assistants are also amazing they try to make you feel as comfortable as possible, during my first visit here I was in a lot of pain and they were excellent about trying to help me alleviate it. (shout out to Megan & "Sherix" haha). Thank you all for such hard work and dedication to your patients. I will continue to come here as I need dental work done and for those of you like myself who hate going to the dentist, this place definitely helps counter that. You have a TV above your chair to help distract you from a lot of what's going on, and as with most dental offices the building can be very cold, they have blankets to help stay warm otherwise dress appropriately or bring a sweater. read more

I have severe anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. I had put off going to the dentist for 5 years because I couldn't stand even thinking about it. Upon moving to the area I discovered this dentist office; specifically Dr. Boudreau with MUCH hesitation I finally scheduled an appointment. (I assumed I needed a bunch of work done, since I had neglected seeing a dentist for so many years). Sure enough Dr. Boudreau found quite a bit that needed attention. The overall manner of the office staff; walking me thru what needed to be done, what I should focus on as a priority, the cleanliness of the office, and general atmosphere of the office and staff were 5 star. Dr. Boudreau is extremely professional and took more than enough time to make me feel comfortable with not only the office, but the work that I needed done. He broke it out in a few different visits to make it the most optimal experience. I had the first of three visits yesterday, (I wanted to use my insurance benefits before they expired) I was able to book this appointment the day before and after work (@6pm). (What kind of dentist caters to their patient and schedules appointments after work?! Zero from what I've researched in the Woodbridge area) Scheduling alone was great, the front office staff was great, and the actual procedure (to my surprise/delight) went by fast and pain free. I would highly recommend Dr. Boudreau to my friends and family. Can't say thank you enough, they've eased my anxiety about going to the Dentist! read more

I decided to send my husband to this dentist as it had been about a yr since his last visit. I would regularly receive flyers advertising a $60 cleaning and x rays. Once my husband came out I could tell he was upset. He paid $40 for a paper copy of an X-ray and decided not to have them clean his teeth. Once out in the car he gave me some papers on their treatment plan which consisted of $35k worth of dental work. Utterly ridiculous as the dentist he went to last year said nothing about root canals and they wanted to do 12 root canals on him and then suggested braces for his lower teeth. COME ON....He had no pain and just wanted to get his teeth cleaned and check for any cavities. Needless to say we sought out another dentist in woodbridge that had great reviews. Now this dentist told him he only had 2 cavities and a root canal possibly in the future. Our experience with this dental office was that they are only out to RIP people off. I would Highly recommend to go elsewhere if you dont want RIPPED OFF!! read more

I didn't go to this Neibauer office, I went to the new one by Wegmans in Woodbridge but I couldn't find that address on Yelp. I still don't know how I feel about my visit. I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years for a cleaning because I didn't have any dental insurance. I got a coupon in the mail for an x-Ray and cleaning from Neibauer for $59 so I thought hey I'm going to take advantage of that. The staff was nice and answered all my questions. The office was nice too. I knew I wasn't gonna hear good things about my teeth since it'd been a long time I got them clean. They told me that I need to come back for more cleaning in 2 weeks but I couldn't get it scheduled til a month later. However it annoyed me because I was so excited about the awesome deal I was going to get and now I have to pay more when I return. The dentist also told me I have a few cavities and I need fillings (still unsure if that is going to be happening at my next appointment). I've never had cavities but I knew I had some decay so I wasn't that surprised but I didn't think it'd be more than one. I don't want to go back for the second cleaning because of the costs but I'll probably go to be safe. They said it's also to check in with my gums because they are inflamed from all the build up I had. Im hoping that when I go back they don't try to tell me I need another appointment for something else because the cleaning really hurt. read more

This review is for the Neibauer at Potomac Town Center (adjacent Wegmans Grocery Store). The office was nice and brand new. I called the office before going to check if the dentist was covered under my insurance (I get two free cleanings a year). They said yes and gave me a same day appt. The staff was friendly and the dental hygentist did a great job cleaning my teeth. I saw the male dentist for about 30 seconds, he was nice and professional. Everything was going awesome until I went to check out and they told that in fact the dentist covered under my insurance was the other dentist in the office and not the guy I saw for 30 seconds. The bill was going to be upwards of $300 dollars or I could take advantage of the $100 new patient special. Needless to say I was upset, how do go from a free cleaning to a $100 bill. I explained that I had called and everything and they gave me the to bad so sad response. I will never go back here. I wish I had double checked with my insurance but in all my years dealing with dentists and doctors offices usually they know whether your covered or not when you ask in advance. read more

OMG, I went to the office at Potomac Town Pl a few years ago, and the experience was awful. I felt very uncomfortable with the so called Professional, (DDS) she was just matter of fact, didnt seem to care about what I wanted or what I could afford. I was then taken into an office with over $10,000 worth of work they wanted to do, and the guy had a nerve to look annoyed with me because I wouldnt take out a loan.I left in a hurry. Last summer I decided to give this office a chance. They seemed very nice and understanding of what my concerns were. I had to have a root canal, It was the most terrifying and painful event I have every had and I've had a baby.I was terrorized for 2 wks and had so much anxiety that I couldnt sleep and would cry thinking about the day I had to go back, for them to finish up everything. Needless to say when they were done with me, I was done with them. Never again, Never any Neibauer office!! read more
