BEST COFFEE IN INDY' KIWI deserves the world - she took care of my order both days and was just so patient with my complicated order. Coffee was perfect and the staff really makes you feel welcomed. thank you so much for a great start to my day.

What a great place. East side coffee shops, I am here for this! Neidhammer is a wonderful place to grab coffee with friends. First of all, it has lots of seating so you can spread out and work or get cozy on the couch and chat it up your pals. They have bakery items, crêpes that they make in house, and of course, all the coffee. I got the Cortado and it was great. The staff is super friendly. The future local artist on their wall, which is a nice touch.

Iced tea. I can't remember which one, but something similar to Chamomile.

This space is so gorgeous! I love the wood floors and the warmth you feel as soon as you walk in. It's a great spot to grab a coffee/tea, a small bite to eat and get some work done. Things are nicely spaced out, so you don't feel like you're on top of someone while working.

Neidhammer Coffee is an unexpected stop that you won't regret. We grabbed just 2 large drip coffees, and the coffee was delicious. Great selection of alt-milks! There was an upcharge on almond/oak/etc. Not a huge deal as the coffee was reasonably priced otherwise. After sitting for a while drinking coffees and enjoying the atmosphere, we decided to try the crepes. My partner had never had a crepe before and he wasn't sure what to expect. He loved it, definitely glad we gave it a second look! There is someone working there who mans the crepe wheels out in the open. A lovely stop, will be back.

The crepes are so good and the coffee is even better! I got a crepe with Nutella and strawberries and a white mocha. It was a great location to study and I'll definitely be back.

I made a stop here the other morning on my way into work. This was a very nice place to have coffee and breakfast. They did a beautiful job with the renovations of the building. This restaurant is located on the Lower East Side just before downtown and in that neighborhood there are sure a lot of buildings that need renovating. I did wonder about parking at there did not seem to be too much of it around the restaurant but as a tip there is a big parking lot right across Washington street from the restaurant that is dedicated to them that I saw once I got inside the restaurant. I have a hard time passing up anything that is Chai so of course that is the one that I chose, the Dirty Chai off of their signature drinks menu. The chai was fine but I prefer mine more bold and slightly sweeter and creamier. I also ordered a crepe. I ordered the cottage home crepe it has Italian cheese, tomato, spinach, salt and pepper. It was simple but delicious. There was plenty of seating inside and lots of artwork for sale on the walls. In addition to the art there were some vintage pieces on shelving that were for sale as well. Such a cute little place and I am sure I will find my way back there.

Such a beautiful space with exposed brick, paintings and fully lighted coffee shop. The window panes are large and the leather sofa sets combined with the tables and stylish chairs giving a complete contemporary look. I ordered a 12oz Americano and a pecan sour cream coffee cake. The combo was divine, coffee so fresh in an aesthetically pleasing mug. The service was quick and super friendly. I for one did not face any issues with parking and I sat with my friends for a good 2 hours enjoying the country music which was very different in my opinion. I am yet to try their crepes but I can tell you the options are drool worthy! So on my list to visit again!

I stopped by Neidhammer Coffee Company to get a latte. I opted for the white chocolate and cinnamon combo, and it did not disappoint. The build is beautiful with exposed brick. There is plenty of seating. Parking is limited. They have a space nextdoor for wedding rentals. I will definitely return.

    Beautifully crafted latte!

This place is awesome. Like, really so very cool. I have been driving by daily since 70 closed, but I never stopped. Why? Because I don't stop to smell the roses, dang it. Because I'm on the way to work and I'm focused and stopping for anything brings anxiety. Why do I do this to myself? Well, I'm going to stop. A friend wrote a book and I bought a copy for everyone on my team. He offered to sign them and we picked here to meet. Thank you, Universe, for the perfection that is this cozy and friendly coffee shop! Parking sucks a lil, but I found a close street spot under a golden tree. The inside is beautiful with exposed brick, warm Edison bulbs, and a variety of seating options. The menu has a lot of drink and nosh options. I had the most amazing cinnamon latte. The young gentleman and lady working were so kind and engaging. I am going to make a point to stop here a couple of times a month. You should, too! Oh, buy my friends book. It's HILARIOUS, but adults only. A great stocking stuffer or Christmas gift for the funny friend in your life.

I finally stopped by Neidhammer and I have to say..... it might be my new favorite coffee shop in Indy! It's just good vibes all around--the crepes made right in front of you, the peaceful brick wall aesthetic, the friendly servers, and the delicious coffee. We got the strawberry nutella crepe along with the rivoli and both were delicious (and very filling)!! We also got a honey oat latte which I also loved very much. It was the perfect amount of sweetness. This is a great place to study or have a chill catch up with friends. The service is great here too, everyone is very nice and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back probably for the rest of my life lol :)

Solid little coffee spot that serves a mean latte, and their crepes are really really good. I had been to Ash & Elm for coders, but had never experienced the coffee. Hello, gorgeous! Must try, and return for more!

This place is so cute! I came here on a Saturday when they were doing a vintage pop up. I really liked the vibes and aesthetic of this coffee shop. I loved the exposed brick and the natural light. There is a good amount of seating inside and each table seemed to have outlets on the table legs. I ordered a lavender latte and I couldn't taste the lavender at all. The latte wasn't anything special but it was good. Overall, I would definitely come back and spend the day journaling or reading.

The bar area where I think they will be adding more seating.

If you follow me on Yelp, you know I am on a mission to try out coffee shops in the Indianapolis area, mostly downtown. This week I tried Neidhammer Coffee. It has been a place I wanted to try because they used to be connected to Ash and Elm a couple times but they were always closed at the time of my visit. Anyway, my goal with my coffee shop visits is to locate the best coffee shops to work since so many people are remote workers these days (like myself). I have a couple different categories: 1. Parking 2. Greeting/Vibes 3. Seating 4. Coffee 5. Overall Experience 1. Parking - If there is any downfall it is the parking situation. They do have a lot behind the building, however, there are just enough spots for maybe 6 cars. I arrived around 8:30 a.m. on a Friday and I drove around twice waiting on someone to leave so I could grab a spot in their lot. There is street parking in the neighborhood so that is a plan B but I really wanted to park in the lot so I just waited for someone to leave. I didn't have to wait long, maybe 5 min or so and a car did leave so I pulled right into their spot. If you do find parking on the street you don't have to pay. 2. Greeting/Vibe - Very cool. When you walk in it has a very warm feel. Some places when you walk it it feels kind of stale but not this coffee shop, it was very warm and cozy almost. There wasn't any type of greeting but that's okay. There were people there working, some just having a coffee and looking on their phones and others where it seemed they were having a meet up of some sort. Nice mix of ethnicities as well which I like. 3. Seating - Again because I'm looking to work remote things that are important to me are the comfort of chairs, and enough seating and outlets and this place had it all covered. The chairs are comfortable and aren't COLD, I hate cold chairs! There were plenty of tables, I would say maybe 10'ish if not more. Some tables sat 2, some 4 and some like 6 or 8. Some round, some square. They have it all covered. Since Ash and Elm moved, they look like they may be adding some bar seating too. I saw them putting together some bar height tables so I bet the next time I go (because I will be back) there will be even more tables. They do play music but it is very light, you can tune it out if you want, or hum along if you want to listen. It is easy listening, alternative type music that is very mellow. 4. Coffee - The coffee is good. They don't have a ton on their menu like some but there is certainly something for everyone. I ordered an Apple Butter latte and it was quite good. The cost was $5 excluding tax/tip for what seems to be a medium. 5. Overall experience was great. The staff is very nice, and the people there also seem very chill. Coffee is good and a great place to work should you need to get out of your house for a bit! I will be back!

You walk in already knowing -- whoever built this, built it with love. Arlene's delivered on that promise from the first bite. Each bite felt considered, balanced, like everyone in that kitchen genuinely cared. But then came the key lime pie. That texture? Smooth like a promise. Buttery in a way that makes you close your eyes and go somewhere else entirely. The crust held its ground with just the right density before giving way in the most satisfying ratio your teeth have ever experienced. And that mascarpone topping -- cool, pillowy, finished with flaky sea salt that hit like punctuation at the end of a very good sentence. It didn't just taste good. It tasted true. Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. Paired it with a simple coffee moment, sitting by the window, and honestly... it felt like a reset. Not rushed, not loud, just good food, good atmosphere, and a chance to actually enjoy it. If you're looking for a brunch spot that feels a little more elevated, a little more intentional, and delivers on both flavor and experience. This is it. 10/10. I'll absolutely be back!!!

I stopped by this fantastic spot in Fletcher Place for lunch and it was a total win! I loved that…read morethey offer two different experiences a great bar area and a beautiful full-service dining room. I opted for the dining room, and even though it was buzzing with a lunch crowd, it was the perfect level of energy without being noisy. The service was 10/10. My waiter was incredibly warm and took the time to explain the day's dishes in detail. I ordered the Brussels Sprouts and a drink, and both arrived in just a few minutes. The sprouts were perfectly prepared and very satisfying easily some of the best I've had. If you're looking for a high-quality lunch with excellent service and a great vibe, this is the place. I'm giving it a full rating and will definitely be back!

Reviewed the menu seemed to be eclectic enough, off we go. The place had a decent size outdoor dinning area. Few of the tables were occupied. Table for one...indoor, outdoor was the question? Indoor. Although the weather was beautiful, indoors was my choice. Al fresco dining is not my first choice. I don't like to do battle over my meal with insects and other wild life. I deducted 1 star for red wine served at room temperature. How is it that, red wines are chilled (55F) on the west coast but served at 'room temperature' (72F, 82F...) on the east coast. Had two dishes, they were OK, service was ok Would I go back? Yes, if the red wine was chilled.

Great location at…read morethe end of Mass Ave near Bottleworks--and pro tip: parking directly in front on the same side of the street is free. The space is big and fun, with a large dining room, an old-school video arcade game, interesting art, and a big screen playing movies, which adds to the laid-back, quirky vibe. It's counter service with clear menu boards on the wall, making ordering easy. I had the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon and an egg and... my goodness. So incredibly delicious. One friend ordered the same grits but swapped in fried catfish instead of bacon--also a fantastic choice. Our third went with a classic plate with eggs and bacon, and let me tell you, the bacon is thick and plentiful. We ordered a side of fries for the table and there were more than enough to share. Self-serve coffee with all the fixings is a nice touch, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Fun atmosphere, great food, solid portions--definitely will be back.

We were greeted right away and looked over the menu a bit before ordering. My husband ordered the country breakfast with chicken (definitely the way to go) and I ordered the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon. We each got a cup for water and I ordered a coffee, excited because I saw ahead of going that it was self-serve (like at Cafe Patachou where I can get as many coffees as I like without having to wait for our server to come check on us first). However, the self serve coffee excitement was short-lived after seeing that they only offered half and half as creamer (I'm lactose intolerant) and the two coffee carafes were not labeled for what was inside (decaf? medium roast? you'll never know!) and then one was completely empty and never refilled during our visit. The water station also was not ever refilled during our visit, so we were not able to get refills after filling up our cups the first time. It took a couple of tries to find a table we could sit at because you seat yourself, but several had not been cleaned after other guests left and had food and drinks spilled on them. There were definitely enough staff members there to be able to clean them in between customers, so we weren't sure why they were left that way. We ended up sitting in the middle of the room towards the front, across from the clown art wall, which made for interesting conversation as we looked through everything. When the food came out I was impressed with the portions, but I had no flavor whatsoever to my cheesy jalepeno grits. The egg and bacon were good, but not enough to make it a good dish and I would not order it again. And I love savory breakfast and grits in general, so it was a real bummer. My husband's dish was worth the visit though. It was a huge portion size and we honestly would just split it if we came back and ordered it. It was so savory, seasoned perfectly, and juicy. One of the best breakfast dishes I have tried recently! I really debated between 3-4 stars for this, but my dish was a flop, the lack of cleanliness for the seating area, the lackluster self-serve coffee station, and not refilling the beverages ultimately scored a 3 star review for me. I would come back and try something else though, or split the country chicken breakfast because it was really good. Hopefully next time the beverages won't be empty!
