First time coming here. I love having a day off through the week and having the opportunity to check out a new local coffee shop to get my day started. I've been wanting to try silver linings, but they re branded under the name Anecdote. Same spot and building as silver linings. When I came in, I was immediately greeted by Clint, him and his wife Marty are the owners. Eventually, Marty came in while I was there and I got to chat with them. They are very sweet. They also own another coffee shop that I really liked which was the mocha nut, but now they are both under the name Anecdote. The inside had a chillaxed vibe, with comfy seating. The decor reminded me of the mocha nut as they had some of the same wall art. I was undecided of what to order, so I asked Clint for recommendations. He told me of some seasonal drinks and that always peaks my interest. I went for the Red velvet latte with almond milk and it was delicious. I got it hot and really enjoyed it, I'm sure it would be just as tasty cold. I chilled inside while sipping on my latte, sat with my thoughts to prep my day. They have a restroom located all the at in the back of this establishment. n the back area near the restroom, the seats were so comfortable that I enjoyed lingering there with my coffee and having a relaxed start to the day. They offer wi-fi and have the password on display, I'll keep that in mind when needing a quaint place to work/study, with good coffee. read more

Best part: staff. Very friendly, helpful, kind. Quite a small space, and my friend and I were relegated to the table outside the bathroom, which became obnoxiously annoying because a noisy fan kicked on every time someone went in there, and then, inevitably, the processional of people using the facilities would leave the door wide open. A) Gross and B) the noise just really worked my nerves. They have a small selection of quick grab bites --a couple muffins and breads. My chai was solid. read more

Found a cute new (to me) little coffee shop today in Beech Grove. I typically order an Americano but felt like a cozy fall drink instead so tried the Honey Vanilla Latte (half sweet with oat milk). It's quite delicious! The space is cozy with a few tables and other sitting areas. Unfortunately I won't be able to hang out for long as there aren't many plugs - old building. So for me, great place to sit and chat with a friend, but not so much work. read more

A quaint, cute coffee shop with impeccable values of love and inclusion! Oh, and the coffee is also really good! I was working in the area, on a Tuesday, and this was the closest coffeeshop that was open. (many are...closed on Tuesdays?) I'm so glad I was diverted here. What an adorable place! Our barista had an awesome mustache and was very personable. He brought us our order and continued our conversation about Riley children's hospital. We tried the chocolate banana bread was delicious and paired well with the seasonal bourbon brown sugar latte (subbed oat milk). First off it's a cute place to veg read or enjoy your favorite coffee, Izzy spritzer and more. I took my elderly sister to get her some fresh air and the gentleman who waited on us was so nice! He suggested she have the hazelnut special which had cinnamon sugar and vanilla. I took a sip and it was good and she enjoyed it. She also spotted the cookies right away and wanted one so of course I had to get her one too. I had a hazelnut cold latte and honestly I didn't feel it was up to par with the flavoring but was ok. I would not purchase that again. I noticed the brand of flavoring was not Monin or 1883 brand and maybe that's why I didn't really care for it. They have comfortable seating inside and seating outside. It was a beautiful day, so we enjoyed both inside and out. I like it's conveniently located on the corner and parking was ample on a Sunday. There were lots of ppl coming in, no doubt, it's a popular place in Beech Grove. It's handy as it's not too far from my sister, so we will probably go back so I can get her out and about again. read more

This cute little coffeehouse is great! The employees are kind and engaging. The coffee and treats are delicious. I sometimes enjoy a hot tea with honey or go for a caramel latte. Occasionally I'll indulge on a muffin. All are great! As a side note: I really appreciate the ladies who work there on Mondays. There was a sketchy guy outside and they made sure to lock the doors until they felt the area was safe. This area is NOT unsafe but a man had questionable behavior and they were aware enough to keep safety a top priority. I truly appreciate that. read more

Such an adorable little coffee shop nestled in the heart of Beech Grove right on Main Street! Hubby and I frequent the Spaulding Jewelry shop located right across the street from Silver Linings- so one morning while dropping off a watch (we lost the pin trying to size it ourselves) I decided it was time to try some new Java. Okay, first of all, we all know the stories about Beech Grove, we've seen the Walmart video on the news. This isn't that Beech Grove. Main Street alone is the perfect picturesque small town street with tiny storefronts smushed together like in the olden days before big box stores. There on a quaint corner sits Silver Linings. There is a small sitting area out front perfect for people watching and a bit of light reading with the colorful chalk drawings out front. Once you step inside you're greeted with lovely eclectic furniture and decor perfect for reading a book. The quiet coffee shop also has pastries and cookies. I opted for the double fudge muffin and an iced vanilla latte. It was done in record time. Delicious and a great perk up. I can't wait for my sister to visit again because we will definitely stop here for a fix! read more

Swung thru for a coffee.. they do not have any cold brew, only ice coffee. so went with a black drip coffee. it was good. Ended up snagging a blueberry muffin. A coworker suggested that we check out this place after lunch one day. She wanted to check out the plant pop up shop that was going on. I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in, I love the set up of the quotes, overall ambiance, as well as the coffee. They have some different options for coffee, and thankfully they office iced options for their drinks which was perfect because it's been so hot. I ended up getting the honey vanilla iced latee which was delicious! I loved this place and can't wait to go back to try more tasty coffee! I'm really excited for fall drinks! read more

This has become a regular spot for my husband and I because he loves the honey vanilla latte, and I love that there are a bunch of new flavors to try on the menu. They have a few baked goods available to go along with your coffee as well. Inside the shop there are ample places to sit on a couch or at a table. I stopped in to get a gift card, but the only ones available at the time were e-gift cards. So, I grabbed a mocha and it was delicious. A large, 20-ounce was just over $5. Staff were super friendly and engaging. The place is beyond cozy and cute. Lots of seating options, if you want to stay and enjoy your delicious coffee. I'm really glad Beech Grove's Main St. has a coffee shop now! This is a cute little 'shop with a fairly large menu and a selection of treats--like 4 Birds cookies, some muffins, and more. For tea drinkers like me, they offer Tazo teas, including the Tazo chai concentrate to make their chai lattes. They do offer non-dairy milk alternatives (almond, soy, and oat milk) for an additional charge (I believe for about 50-65 cents). I came in around 10:40am on a Monday, and there were only three open tables. It was busier than I expected! But there was still plenty of room, and I was able to nestle into a yellow chair in the back to work for awhile. I did notice a place to plug in a charger at a nearby table along the brick wall, but I'm not sure if there's an outlet at any other tables. The Wi-Fi worked great, and it was a decent space to work in with my headphones on. I'm planning on visiting again! I like the vibe of the place and pops of color in the furniture. Next time, I'm hoping to snag the table with the fun couch/chaise-like seats! ;) read more

Cute addition to downtown Beech Grove. We made a day of shopping at the antique shops on Main Street but first stopped in for some coffee. The staff were incredibly friendly and offered to answer any questions we had. They have a fairly concise menu with everything you need, plus some holiday options. I had the snickerdoodle latte. It was cinnamon-y and festive. Parking is free in downtown Beech Grove so you can park and walk to all the shops and grab a coffee or a bite to eat. read more

My work is close by here and I finally stopped in to try it! I love the vibe inside. Fun and bright furniture and plenty of seating to work or meet up with friends. Came here on a busy weekend with our small infant and our dog. They are DEFINITELY dog friendly, made us a pup cup and everything, doted on our dog and made him feel welcome. Cute little coffee shop with lots of local charm and memorabilia, lots of very comfortable seating. Seems very popular with the locals. They have a HUGE selection of fall drinks, coffee and tea. I got the pumpkin spice latte, and my wife got the apple cider chai. My drink was amazing, fresh, just the right amount sweet, with a great pumpkin and spice flavor. My wife love her drink as well, not over the top chai flavor and perfectly balanced. Staff was welcoming and made us feel at home right away, almost like one of the family! If I could give this place a 3.5 rating I would. It's not quite 4 stars yet (in my opinion). Let's start with a positive! As someone who used to live in Beach Grove, the fact that they FINALLY have a local coffee shop on Main St is awesome. The wifi is free and, for the 3-4 times I've done work here for convenience sake, seems reliable. Space is open and airy, with high ceilings, so any little noise is amplified (not super ideal if you're searching for a quiet place to study). Seating is comfy but limited. If you're hoping to do laptop work, there are only outlets available for use at 2 of the 3 tables. There is also a newly installed bar top with additional seating. The main barista is friendly, and seems to know many of the people who walk through the door; but definitely overuses calling everyone "honey", "sweetie" or "sweetheart" (a pet peeve of mine -not a reflection on their ability to do their job). Now, the drinks. Speaking as someone who has worked both in Starbucks AND local coffee shops, Silver Linings does have a fairly standard beverage quality and pricing. They also offer a fun variety of both seasonally rotating and staple lattes (along with several baked goods). Overall, I would recommend checking it out, if only for a quick pop-in to support local businesses. This place is cute and full of potential! read more

Really wanted to give this place five stars but there's just a couple important things lacking. But first..... it's an adorable spot. Very cozy and comfortable with very pleasant staff. I work remote and go to different local owned coffeeshops and this one measures up. Coffee was delicious and the pistachio muffin unique and mouth watering. The downfalls are the wireless would not work and even my phone's hotspot was struggling inside the building. The other thing is, for me, there are no savory options . The salted turtle mocha was easily the best coffee I have ever had in my life. It was like a dessert in a cup. Service was very friendly. They offer a 10% discount for teachers and first responders, which is so generous. Interior was clean with a great selection of cookies and baked goods. Small lot next to the building along with plenty of free street parking. Will absolutely pick silver linings over Starbucks any day.
