My friends and I had dinner at Neighbor Good Kitchen & Bar on Friday, May 1 during BTS weekend in El Paso, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing -- everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. You could tell a lot of care went into both the menu and presentation. What really stood out, though, was how attentive and genuinely kind our server was throughout the evening. Even with how busy El Paso was that weekend, we never felt rushed or overlooked. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and it ended up being one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip. If I return to El Paso in the future, Neighbor Good Kitchen & Bar will definitely be on my list of places to visit again. read more

For starters I would say this spot was simply okay. I would bring some friends here for drinks and vibes but I wouldn't come back on my own accord. For starters the atmosphere was so cute. Absolutely loved the bar and hanging pots everywhere. Such a clean restaurant and cute vibe. Our waitress was very nice and friendly to us. So no issues there! For drinks I got their berry lemonade which tasted just like lemon juice. I had to request for sugar to be added since it was so sour so beware. My food had came out and to be honest I'm just a little bit disappointed. The rigatoni was cooked but the sauce for it was really not tasty? Like there was almost not a flavor I can taste. Of course there was something but it was very plain and barely even there. It also was not spicy whatsoever. I added grilled chicken too and oh boy was that dry dry DRY. The burrata personally I'm not a fan in general so of course I wouldn't be a fan this time either but they gave a nice little plate full of it. They added some oiled toasted bread and it was way too crispy in my opinion. My partner got the chicken Parmesan and his dish tasted great! Very juicy chicken and cooked all the way. The sauce was perfect too nice and flavorful and great pairing with the chicken. His butter noodles were just like regular butter noodles so not bad. Finally the crème brûlée. Probably the most disappointing dish we ordered. It took repeated stabs to break the sugar glaze on top. Me and my partner were honestly thinking that they added the cream on top to hide how burnt it was actually. Unfortunately because the glaze was so thick and burnt it made the rest of the cream taste have the burnt flavor. It was sad because my partner was looking forward to this desert. Also took wayyy longer to arrive than our entrées. I will say that the waitress was very helpful and she actually covered the crème Brulé. I didn't even ask she just offered, I think she could tell that we didn't enjoy it and I had nicely told her it wasn't what we were expecting so thank you sincerely. Overall I think this is a perfect spot to maybe try drinks and hang with friends. Food was okay, wouldn't try it again in that regard but overall a decent spot here in El Paso if you're looking for something new. Maybe best to ask what's their best dish to serve. Wow! What a cool spot - how had we not heard about it prior! Dropped in for a Sunday lunch - fair warning, this place is popular and you'll probably need to wait a bit for a table. Walking in to the older building near Five Points that has been turned into a beautiful location, you feel the energy right away with the music and hustle. Menu options are wide ranging. We ordered everything from simple (but tasty) cheeseburger & fries, to adult chicken strips (also tasty), spicy chicken sandwiches (delicious), pasta, chilaquiles and more! They have a shareable cinnamon roll on the menu that is only available until they run out and unfortunately we were too late for that so next time. We had one server the another but both helped when needed. We did take their table for a long time but we tipped well to make up for it. The biggest component aside from delicious food and environment is quality service and I have to say that after today - I cannot consciously say this establishment has the quality to serve El Paso or rather keep this subpar front of house service and expect to remain open. It's worth the ownership team reassessing their work practices of their staff and having a chance to realign. We waited patiently for around 1.5-2 hours and we had yet to hear from them, what was a bit concerning though was how we received a "you've been removed from waitlist" notification and we never did so. As someone who's in tech, I understand that tech glitches happen; however, after we went over to address it they kept gaslighting and stating we were the ones who did it. I've used platforms like toast and opentable for years from Paris and Spain to Canada and Mexico, there is no possible way we did that. We didn't have a confirmation stating so and online it stated we were no longer on the waitlist. When you cancel it yourself there is different messaging. After we addressed it and went back to inquire they made it as if we were an inconvenience and that they would have to move tables around to accommodate us. We tried to find a resolution and were meet with such disdain. Tbh it was a bit hard not to feel there was a discriminatory element towards us. They stated how they would re-add us to the waitlist and do their best to move us up. Informed the wait would be another 20-30 minutes but they would make sure to rectify and take care of us. Leave it to 45 minutes later after that occurrence and it was not the case. We still haven't even received a follow up or anything. At this point I'm glad to see the type of brick and mortar Neighbor Good consciously operates under, and will now advocate for folks to instead visit Ella. Truly the only glimmer of silver lining that helped our table of six not have a true crappy experience. TL;DR- If you're reading this avoid this spot at all costs.... read more

Sad we were there way to early so we weren't able to indulge in a mimosa but none the less the juices that were available we're delicious. I stumbled upon Neighbor Good Kitchen & Bar while searching for a cute Sunday brunch spot, and I'm so glad I did! I hadn't heard of it before, so I called to ask about reservations and was told the wait would be just 20 minutes such a pleasant surprise. Parking took a little circling since it is clearly a popular place, but we managed just fine. The second my husband and I walked in, we were totally impressed. A live DJ was playing, setting such a fun and upbeat vibe. The energy was amazing, and the staff were all so sweet, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The decor? Adorable. Modern, warm, and full of charm. It's actually located where one of my favorite old breakfast spots used to be, and while the concept is completely different, the quality of the food has stayed top-notch just with a whole new personality. Everything we had was fresh and full of flavor. I ordered two martinis and they were absolutely perfect. I had ordered the Arrachera and Eggs, but was brought something else by mistake and honestly, it was so delicious I didn't even feel the need to say anything. They make several items in-house, including the sausage links. This place totally won me over. From the vibes to the service to the food and drinks, it all came together beautifully. Wow! This place is a bit pricey, but sometimes you pay for what you get. The service was fantastic and the food was both fresh and creative. There were so many fun options on the menu I really want to go back. I ordered the fried rice bowl (on their breakfast selection!) yup fried rice for breakfast, it was bacon fried rice, two different types of squash, sliced and sautéed lemon peels, fresh garlic and so much more I can't even remember at this point, topped with a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg. The flavor profile was a punch in the mouth and absolutely delicious. I was able to eat half of the bowl and took the rest home for dinner. The latte was so creamy, not overly sweet and just perfect. Think Seattle coffee scene perfect, not franchise coffee. I'd go back for just the coffee. The waitress and hostess were both wonderful and the decor was chill but eccentric. Later she come back to let us know she had put the order wrong and that it was going to take 5-6 more minutes for the salmon. Obviously it took longer. When we finally got the order my husband liked the salmon and for me the ratio on my salad was off not enough grilled brócoli and too much Cesar dressing. Pros: The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great. Cons: The management is an absolute joke. My wife and I have been regular patrons of Neighbor Good Kitchen and Bar. The staff here knows us, they know our faces, and they know we are frequent customers. Yet, during a recent visit, a manager named Alejandro treated us like absolute garbage and completely ruined what was supposed to be a special business celebration with another couple. After ordering drinks and appetizers, our entrees finally arrived. As the runner was placing down the plates, Alejandro walked up to my wife and nonchalantly announced, "Ma'am, we are actually out of the snapper. Can we get you something else?" Let that sink in. They waited until the exact second everyone else's food arrived to let a loyal regular know she wasn't getting her dinner. Ordering a replacement would have taken another 20 to 25 minutes, meaning she would be sitting there watching the rest of us eat. To make sure she didn't go hungry, I ended up splitting my hamburger with her. I pulled Alejandro aside and gave him a piece of my mind. How on earth does a manager think it is acceptable to notify a guest that their food isn't coming while serving the rest of the table? It gets worse. When the bill arrived, they charged us full price. They didn't offer a single comp or apology gesture to a frequent customer. When I confronted Alejandro and told him we were not paying the full bill after they completely dropped the ball, his response was, "Well, your wife ate half of your hamburger." Unbelievable. To use the fact that I had to share my own meal with my wife because of their massive kitchen error as an excuse to avoid comping anything is pathetic, petty, and deeply unprofessional. Neighbor Good Kitchen and Bar might have good chefs, but they clearly don't value loyalty and are severely dragged down by their management. Alejandro has no business managing a restaurant, and they just lost two of their regular customers for good. We will find a different restaurant the values customer service to spend our money. read more

Nick, the owner, told us he was partners in Crave and opened this restaurant about 4 weeks ago. Super nice guy and an has an amazing vision for food. The food was absolutely delicious, such pretty decorations with the plants and it has the best ambiance and music (even shazamed a song while we were here)!! The service was amazing and our server, Allan, recommended the summer rose mocktail which was our favorite out of the lavender lemonade and the orange creamsicle drink that we also ordered. Allan did regular check ups at our table to make sure everything was good and just had the best attitude that made the experience great!! We went for the first time today for breakfast and we were very pleasantly surprised with the delicious fusion of flavorful food. Nice atmosphere and good service added to our great experience. I had the poblano omelette and it was so delicious and flavorful plus the sauce and presentation were really appealing. My friend had the arrachera with fries and was very pleased as well and the sourdough pancake was just perfect. I highly recommend giving it a try. It's about $25 and so so worth it. read more

First ribeye steak that came out was well done, the second was medium rare as originally requested.
