My son met the 42-inch height requirement and has safely enjoyed similar attractions before, yet we were still made to feel uncomfortable and singled out throughout our visit. What upset me the most was watching my son cry after getting hurt, and instead of showing concern or compassion, staff looked at him, walked away, and laughed with another coworker. As a parent, that was heartbreaking and completely unacceptable to witness. No child should ever be treated with such disregard, especially when they are visibly upset and crying. Throughout the visit, my children both older and younger were watched excessively, which made us feel targeted instead of welcomed. As a Black family, the treatment we experienced raised serious concerns about bias and discrimination. I fully understand the importance of safety rules, but rules should be enforced respectfully and equally for everyone. Families come to these facilities to feel safe and enjoy time together, not to feel humiliated, ignored, or judged. I will be contacting the district and administration for both facilities to formally report these experiences and seek accountability. I hope steps are taken to ensure no other family or child is made to feel this way again.

Fuse45 is criminal in their business scheme - taking advantage of clients in the interest of earning an extra dollar. As an unlimited member you are charged $10 for a missed class on top of the $140 you have already paid for a month's worth of sessions. There was actually a morning where I was made to feel "lucky" for not having been charged the $10 for electing not to drive during a snow storm which caused local schools and businesses to close. Furthermore, you WILL be charged TEN days before the month begins with no means of skipping, pausing, or being respected as a person with conflicts on occasion - regardless of whether or not you sign a contract, so I strongly discourage you to provide credit card information as they seemingly do what they choose with it. I authorized a trial month at Fuse45, and when charged for the following month immediately contacted them and merely requested to put the month on hold as I was traveling and could not use the service. When the response was "no, we can't do that, it's against our policy" I immediately contacted my credit card company as 1) I did not authorize the charge and 2) could not be able to make the $140 worth it. At this point I have asked that all subsequent months be canceled as I will not support a business that does not support its clients and their individual needs. It is manipulative and in poor taste to charge customers for services when they have 1) communicated they do not want said service and 2) do not utilize the service.

A new day brings a new set of workouts and class format. Different instructors also help to spice things up! Jerilyn, Joe, Alison - I'm looking at you guys! All of the instructors are knowledgeable, motivating, and really push you to do more. I love the formats of the classes. Each set is 45 seconds which is great for me because I get bored easily. It's helped me to realize that I can do anything for 45 seconds, no matter how hard it is. Since I have been attending classes regularly, I've been feeling much stronger, had more energy, and even decreased pain with a longtime shoulder injury. Not to mention, dropping 10 lbs (along with dietary changes). Even though the workouts are exhausting and take everything out of me, Fuse45 really has become my happy place. I tried a "Barbell Class" with my neighbor and I had a good experience. The class size was…read moresmall-only three other people were in the class, which made for a nice environment. The trainer was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He demonstrated all movements in a way that was easy to understand and he was patient with members when they had questions. All the members were warm and welcoming. The structure of the class was clever. We did some interval warm-ups, which had twenty-five seconds of work and twenty seconds of rest. The movements included mountain climbers, bird dogs, plank holds, push-ups, and other movements. Then we did five pull-ups and ten tricep over the head extensions. Then we did some mobility work-things like lunges, cossack squats, hip rotations, and arm rotations. After that, we did bench presses with a pause at the bottom and single-arm dumbbell bent-over rows. Then we did hip thrusters and farmer carry's and we finished the workout with some barbell bicep curls, some high band side steps and some sled pushes. My muscles were definitely feeling the burn at an increasing rate as the class went on. If I had to nitpick then I would say that there wasn't enough time to complete all of the movements and the gym is small. I imagine the gym would feel crowded if there were more than five people attending a class. When we got to "event #3," which included the barbell bicep curls, high band side steps, and sled pushes, we were given only seven minutes to complete it. Because it's important to stretch at the end of a workout, I respected the time cap on this section. But, I think there should have been a time cap on all three events. That would have prevented us from feeling rushed at the end. Go check this place out! I would like to come back and try one of their kettlebell classes.

Initial impressions just trying to find the place and walking in were not what I was expecting. If you are used to walking into a Lifetime Fitness with tons of equipment, throw that idea away. Michigan Kettlebells is tucked into a small commercial and storage complex. Once you walk in, you will see this is a large renovated garage and sets the mood for the workouts to come. You will learn to love it. There is a wide variety of people who attend. Classes generally have 10-15 people in them and have a 60/40 mix of men to women. Age ranges from ~16 - 60 years old across many different skill levels from beginners to marathon runners. Everyone is very supportive and a great crowd to workout with. The workouts are different every single day I have attended, but maintain the core principal to increase general strength and fitness. This is done through Kettlebell training in additional to raw,"backyard" type of workouts such as tractor tire flipping, sand bag lifting, push ups, pull ups and everything in between. Craig, the primary instructor, is very knowledgeable and an overall great guy. His wife, Dawn, holds female only boot camp classes on Sunday which my wife attends. She is loving those as well. A third trainer Derek, is another great asset to the gym. All I can say is do yourself a favor and check this out, I am happy I did.

Set up like a home gym almost with a boxing bag, and mirrors , yogas stuff , HIIT workouts etc ; it's a studio room basically. So, I was like cool! I'm going to checkout next door, The Champion Boxing Gym. Well, first. I couldn't tell what was the primary sport of the gym was because there was a jujitsu class and kicking and boxing going on in the huge ring they have. The speed bags only have 2 that normal side humans would use and out of that 2 , 1 of the balls weren't blown up so I couldn't hit it. It was fairly crowed, not compared to the Health Club Side . It was fairly "dusty?" maybe, unlike the Health Club side. It was pretty tidy, and the embers cleaned up after themselves. Everyone seems busy so I didn't talk to anyone I don't know if that's the same building or not? They have an adjoining door. Also, the health club has a juice bar and a steam room and it's pretty neat I'd check it out
