Several months ago, I asked if they had cranberry pecan bread in stock, it was Friday and on the schedule they hand out to customers so they know when to look for certain items. They didn't have it, I mentioned to them this was several Fridays now that they didn't have it, the girls were polite, apologized and the one who seemed to be in charge said she would talk to the owner about "adhering to the schedule more" which gave me an expectation of sorts that it may be more consistent. They mentioned it could be pre-ordered if I absolutely had to have it but it's just I prefer it over the other breads. Over the next 5 or 6 times I went in on Fridays looking for it sometimes they had it and other times not, when they didn't I just took the apple bread as a substitute but always asked if they had any in back just to make sure, it either wasn't baked that day or it sold out they said. This last time I didn't see it (again on Friday, the day it's supposed to be there) I saw they had the apple/almond bread and was prepared to get that again but asked one of the girls if they had any on the rack in back where there was a bunch of loaves not yet bagged. For whatever reason this particular time it caused some frenzy and they said they were getting the owner, okay, but completely unnecessary to check for a loaf of bread. So this guy comes out who I have never seen in my life I do not know his name but he's blondish and eyes way to close together to be able to see straight is the only way to describe him. He says its not financially feasible to keep baking that bread every Friday and he is holding his hands together (like he is praying) but is shaking them at me while he is talking and apparently frustrated. Again, I have no clue why this particular time he came out after ALL these times of me asking if they have it or not before I grab a different kind of bread. I did mention to him (since he decided to come out) that it was frustrating they hand out these baking schedules to customers but only adhere it at times. He said "we adhere to the schedule 98% of the time, most of the time". I really was just wanting to get my loaf, cookies, and sandwich ordered so I could go home but I thought I would listen to what he had to say but when he said very angrily "How many times do we have to tell you to pre-order what's on the schedule!?" I thought better of it to respond and decided just to walk away without saying anything, which I did. I am at this place, or was, 3 times a week either for dinner or getting bakery items. We also cater or do to go for work functions from here. Since I have an ounce of self respect I cannot go back in there after being spoke to that way for no reason. I didn't ask to speak to him, I've been in there multiple times since the original time I spoke about and have ALWAYS asked for it before getting something else so I cannot imagine what prompted this occurrence. The food is decent, the employees are generally nice aside from frequently forgetting a fork in my to go bag for my desserts but that could be anywhere. Again, very unfortunate. read more

I had the grilled cheese and it was wonderful. I was surprised how reasonably priced their menu is. I can't wait to try the French dip.

Been several times and this is the first review for the place I have written. This is a great place for going to have lunch or a bite to eat. I love the their pumpkin muffins and stop by to just buy one of them ever so often. Their sandwiches are also very good, I have had a variety of them from Chicken salad, Pesto Turkey and a couple others, all was good. This is my current favorite for breakfast in a hurry. They have plenty of breakfast sandwich options vs several muffin choices that are all delicious. Service at the counter is fast and friendly. Reasonable prices for freshly prepared food. Can't think of a better pick-up-and-walk-out option for breakfast on south side of town. I see plenty of people eating in the restaurant but have never had the luxury! read more

A really cool bakery/eatery with fast service and great sandwiches. We stopped here after a long hike and they had very filling and healthy sandwiches. Don't forget to ask for options they have in beverages. I asked for an iced mocha and was very pleased with what I got! They have really good bread too, a little expensive but great taste! read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I practically live here! I love their Queen City hot sandwich or the Chipolte Turkey cold sandwich. However, I LOVE their CROISSANTS! Oh my goodness, they are what dreams are made of. Give me a chocolate croissant and a frozen hazelnut mocha and I will be the happiest of campers all day long. Fantastic service every time. We have a 7 year-old who loves salad! He was so excited to build his own salad. His look was better than being in a toy store! My husband used to fly for business all of the time and has eaten at restaurants all over the country. He is not a salad person. And he said, "This is the best salad I've had in a long time!" I'm a big fan of Neighbor's Mill! My husband and I, usually along with a friend or relative, have eaten here on multiple occasions. It's always clean, service is fast, and the food is great. And then there are the desserts... tears of happiness came to me eating one of their cupcakes. One thing you should know, is that the service is cafeteria style. Not my preference, but I suspect it helps them keep prices low. And when you're here, you've got to stop in and see the restrooms with their quirky artwork! All in all, a great place :) read more

I've eaten here three times, breakfast, lunch & dinner. Three disappointing meals. Breakfast: they couldn't slice my bagel, as they had put the slicer away. My latte was so bad I had them remake it. Lunch was marginal: grilled cheese& tomato soup. Dinner: takeout salad sampler. Bread was 3" X3". Salad cheese & onion thrown into fruit salad. A MESS! I won't try again. Got sour dough bread and cinnamon rolls. Rolls pretty good but we're squished into a box. Sour doughbread had NO sour dough flavor. None at all. I got the bread early in the morning expecting it to be fresh but it must have been leftover from the weekend. BAD BAD bread. BOO read more

Tiny portions, bland food, and subpar service. I love the one in Harrison, so this was a huge disappointment. I got maybe 1/4 cup of soup, a half turkey sandwich with 2 thin slices of meat, and maybe half a dozen chips. It took me about 7 bites to eat it all. I found my visit here to be underwhelming. I had the Chipotle Chicken Panini. It was extremely bland and I found the bread to be slightly rubbery - not crisp like a Panini. My dining companion had a Turkey and Avocado Sandwich. It was a little better than mine, hence the 3 stars. The inside is very modern but seems a little cold. I don't think I would choose to come here over Panera. read more

My daughter and I visited Neighbors Mill yesterday for lunch. Very busy, but staff were friendly our order was taken and our salads were prepared and ready by the time we reached cashier at end of serving line. My daughter had the salad sampler which she said was very good. I had a entree sized Smokey Raspberry Salad. Generous portion of salad greens,chicken, bacon, and other salad components. The salad tasted fresh and the dressing was perfect. We will be back soon. read more

This is a terrific addition to Springfield. Great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with very good coffee. Fresh-baked goods were a treat and I enjoyed the free wifi. The Good - Neighbors has a great salad and sandwich selection. The food and service were really good. It's very similar to Panera. Bread selection is varied. The Bad - Not open on Sunday for brunch!! This is a big disappointment considering this is a great brunch spot. All their bread loaves are unappealingly displayed in plastic bags. It's an aesthetic thing, but Panera does a better job of making it look appealing. Prices for baguettes are absurdly high ($5!). Verdict - I'll likely be back, but I still love Panera a bit more. read more

We drove up and this place looked popular and crowded. But we were served so fast! And the staff is super friendly and patient while we ordered. The loaded baked potato was great, the soups and salads and sandwiches were generously proportioned. Definitely hit this place for lunch if you're around Springfield. read more

Think Panera but smaller portions and lower quality. The bread here is OK at best. The desserts were pretty good but other than that...not impressed. But what got me most turned off by the experience was hearing a woman "owner I think" being VERY mean to an employee. She was a total Nazi! Just pass on this one folks. No loss. read more
