Navigating how to acquire health insurance properly can be difficult for people of all ages and…read moreexperience. When I was attempting (and struggling) to acquire individual health insurance after losing my previous coverage, I was filled with stress because I wasn't receiving the health insurance package that I needed. After being sent round-and-round in circles on the phone with health insurance providers, I decided to take matters into my own hands and searched online for insurance brokers and assistants online- thats when I hit the lottery. and stumbled upon Kate at PDX Insurance & Associates. I called PDX Insurance & Associates with desperate hope (and without making an appointment), asking for insurance assistance and Kate answered the phone. Kate took the time between her own busy scheduled appointments to help walk me through my insurance process. She went step-by-step with me to ensure I got the insurance I needed (as I was needing a specific provider to keep my primary care doctors). Kate was exceptionally personable, answering all of my questions and concerns with ease and depth of knowledge. Within a half hour, Kate had found me the insurance I needed at a price I could afford. She talked with me about plans and specifically detailed (over the phone and through email) what the next steps of my process I would needed and submit to take to ensure my insurance application was processed and approved. Kate and her colleagues at PDX Insurance & Associates are highly skilled, exceptionally kind in their customer service, and have the experience and knowledge to calmly answer any questions or concerns you may be having about acquiring health and dental insurance. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back to PDX Insurance & associates (with a scheduled appointment next time) for my insurance assistance and I will be recommending them to all of my family and friends. Kate at PDX Insurance & associates made insurance a breeze and I am beyond grateful for this business.

I can absolutely see why NFP has such a poor reputation for customer service and…read morecommunication--it's been my exact experience. Not only were we dismissed as "low revenue for their pockets" twice while trying to obtain COIs for active contracts, but the complete lack of professionalism was staggering. Yes, there was an initial communication mix-up regarding one of our companies transferring brokers--but after multiple confirmations from our insurance carrier and other brokers that the policy was still with NFP, they still refused to do their job. Let that sink in: brokers we didn't even do business with stepped up to help us find a solution, while NFP--our actual broker of record--refused to assist simply because we would no longer be their client in a couple of months. That is not just poor service--it's negligence and blatant disregard for professional responsibility. And to make matters worse, this behavior came from leadership. Ted Holler, a Senior Vice President and Market Leader (and I use the term "leader" very loosely), is the individual who said we were "too low for his pockets." That is not leadership--it's arrogance. If this is the standard NFP allows, it's no surprise their reputation speaks for itself. Avoid this company if you expect professionalism, accountability, or even basic respect.

DO NOT! This company is your quintessential yuppy insurer. Dishonest, unprofessional, and as rude…read moreas rude will ever get. I am 55 and called in about business insurance specializing in auto repair of a specialty item on the vehicle. Hence I never need the vehicle in my possession. I do not want the vehicle in my possession. I'm asked if I do store the customer vehicles and clearly explained no I don't and that it is not necessary nor desired. I spoke with a young person Chris Schlumpberger. As the conversation proceeded I commented our facility has a highly advanced security system and he immediately cuts me off stating so you were not telling me the truth you do store customer automobiles at your facility. I was as about as insulted as one could imagine and barked back and stated the one has nothing to do with the other and some of us more intelligent people than yuppy little you fresh out of diapers don't quite grasp the concept just yet. I proceeded to make complaint with the manager Jennifer and she flat refused to believe me. Well she was obviously clueless to the fact I had already paid thousands of dollars through her company on auto policies of which will promptly terminate this month. Geez what a brilliant way to reduce your customer base: condescend, alienate, and emasculate all because your a precious little white collar worker who needs all whom speak to you to bring their special little gentle voice and their I'm willing to verbally abused at your hands you mighty insurance broker.
