I do really enjoy this place but I wish the hours were a little better. It's right next to a gym and 8am to 6pm just doesn't give us, before work or after work, individuals a chance to get anything before or after a workout. Just when you think this place has it figured out the fall short. Stockton store is 10x better. A tall dark haired kid was working the register. He was helping a friend as they were joking around. I did a mobile order and just came in stood there as they chatted. After a few minutes he said can I help you? I said mobile order for Scot. Mind you there were only two things in the fridge. He did a Quick Look and said is it under a different name? The girl walked over and said it's the bowl and grabbed it. Then he goes back and starts blending something. This by far was the skimpiest bowl I have ever gotten from any Nektar. Just a little over half full. I didn't even question it. I think this is my last time. I was recommended the Acai Peanut Butter. I was undecided between Acai Peanut Butter and the PB&J. Even though the staff was very busy, they were able to be polite and professional when taking orders. They got my bowl out in just a few minutes. They had a lot of phone/online orders since they never stopped making bowls in between customers. I was expecting it to be more peanut butter flavor, but it was a light refreshing fruit mix with apple and strawberry. Overall a good one to go with! Plenty of seats inside and good music. read more

I love the smoothies and bowls, however I notice that 9 times out of 10 they don't have the open sign on and any time I mention it, they just say "oh we sometimes forget to turn it on" but they don't turn it on. As a business owner, I know how much that can affect the business and it sucks that the employees neglect this part of operating the store. If your completely miserable why even work here? I thought maybe just an off day, I've been back three times now and no improvement. I've never had such terrible customer service (Alyssa) doesn't greet you when you enter, never smiles, no sincere goodbye. When she drops your drink she hopes you know it yours and if you don't come she'll quietly mutter it under her breath while she's making another smoothie. I am a total lover of juice bars and my personal favorite, acai bowls. In the constant growth of health food trends, you start to see more and more franchises appearing that showcase what they have to offer. Nekter Juice bar is one of those that appeared in Modesto, CA over the recent years. I first tried Nekter when I lived in Utah. It was nice to see them bringing their diverse menu all the way here to the Central Valley! During these hot times (or honestly any time), some fresh drinks or a nice acai bowl really brightens the day. I have come here many times now and am always satisfied with the product. I've tried the acai banana berry bowl, dragonfruit bowl, and acai mango bowl and thoroughly enjoyed everything! They all come beautifully topped with a variety of customizable toppings that can give your bowl a unique flavor or twist if changed to your liking. One tip I recommend is to download the app to collect points and redeem for promotions. You can also order ahead of time and walk up to grab your order when you get there! Super convenient and transactionless. Another tip that I am not sure a lot of people know about, but Safeway gives $2 off coupons for Nekter Juice Bar on the back of their receipts. And I told her yes our order and they never even started our order and she wanted to blame it on the machine as if she wasn't the one to take our order. This is my favorite place for juices and bowls! The only issue I consistently face when visiting is the front carpet at the entrance. Whenever I try to open the door, it gets caught on the carpet, making it difficult to open even slightly. Unfortunately, the employees usually just watch me struggle. I had purchased some juices for my friends and mentioned this issue to them, and they all go to the same location and shared the same experience! It would be great if someone could either remove the carpet or reposition it so it doesn't interfere with the door. Other than that it's my favorite place to go! Had somewhat of an attitude and never made eye contact with me, especially after I asked for a recommendation for a smoothie since I've only been sticking with the bowls. I wanted to change it up so I was trying to make a good decision and try their other options. Not sure if it's just their personality or if they've had a rough day but I could tell they didn't want to be there. Uhhh. I just came from there where I ordered the same exact thing as the person in front of me (the Health Nut) EXCEPT I ordered an extra scoop of protein. I watched the employee make it. She made both of ours from the same blender and certainly did not put in another scoop of protein. What's worse is that there was half a blender left of the same protein smoothie. How can grams of protein, let alone calories, be determined with that practice? I work out next store and a few of us go in after a workout. I will no longer be a customer. The service was great. I ordered the Acai Banana Berry Bowl and added peanut butter and chocolate drizzle. I love acai bowls and was very excited to try this one. Toppings are easy to nail down, but the actual base is what makes it! I look for consistency and flavor. Nekter's acai bowl was more runny and had spurts of strawberry flavor to it, but for the most part it was pretty bland. I think adding the peanut butter and chocolate drizzle helped. Would I order it again? Yes, after a workout, but I won't drive out of my way for it. read more
