I came in during my lunch hour specifically to grab a juice because it was extremely hot outside. Unfortunately, I was a couple of cents short, and the only other option I had was a $100 bill. I was surprised and disappointed that they didn't have change. What bothered me most wasn't that they couldn't break the bill--it was the complete lack of customer service or willingness to find a solution. I'm a consistent customer who comes in almost every week, and it would have been a simple gesture to say, "You can just pay us next time." I even made a comment saying, "I guess no juice for me, huh?" hoping they might offer some kind of solution, but there was no attempt whatsoever. For a well-known company like Nekter, I honestly expected better customer service. Not the person to sit here and type all that but maybe hire someone that loves their life. I came on Tuesday the 22nd around 3:20 pm asked "how are you sir how's your day, do you guys have that one drink with the cashew milk?" The person keeps cutting me off and making a lot of weird facial expressions and impressions that are super unnecessary over a simple actual question? He keeps cutting me off and goes "we don't have any cashew" I go " the drink that has cashew milk, I came before I just don't.." ( again keeps cutting me off says "we don't have any cashews, the only drinks we have.. that are on the screen" and he points on the menu) then I finally remember and seen it on the menu, and said to him" it was blueberry and has protein (then I look at the menu ) and say oh it's that one that's the cashew milk" (Mind you he's being a bit loud with a serious face acting like I'm joking and coming here and wasting time in front of everyone else in the line. I kept my cool and acted like nothing is happening.) I even asked for an Acai bowl and he never asked if I want anything on it. He just charged me for a regular one and put a random topping on it. I get it I should have been more specific but if you're doing customer service maybe say "is this your first time? We have this we have that" and be nice and explain the menu. Love, love, love their protein Acai bowl! The peanut butter just takes it over the top. I've been obsessed with Acai lately, and Nekter by far has the best tasting bowls. This location is hidden away nestled in the Gelson's shopping center. I decided to try the cold brew protein smoothie with banana, vanilla whey protein, housemade cashew milk and agave nectar. Very tasty and refreshing. It has about the same caffeine as one cup of coffee. Gives you a little bit of a boost to get you through the day. I would try this one again for sure. Had an opportunity to pop in while running errands in this shopping plaza. I got a turmeric shot which was good but had a flavor that reminded me of orange juice so I am not sure if they add orange to it here. It definitely tasted a little different from the one I normally get in the CDM store. I also tried a scoop which is a frozen version of a juice. They had chocolate or strawberry so I tried strawberry. 3 toppings are included so I added fresh strawberries and blueberries with some shaved coconut. The scoop had a good texture and it was a good sized serving. The strawberry was sweet for me but that's personal preference and it was still good. I wished they had vanilla to try and will go back for that in the future. read more

Sigh, as you can see in a previous review people have some trouble when ordering bowls. I concur. I ordered an açaí bowl and as you can see from my photo I was missing well a lot of fruit. I'm not sure what their excuse was but they should not have any excuses because they are located right next to a supermarket that has plenty of fruit in it. If you look at the other photos on this same yelp page, there is lot of fruit in the bowls that's what I was expecting but sadly I did not receive that. Honestly what I was handed was a very poor excuse for an açaí bowl I'm not even sure what to call what I ate. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Today was my final straw for this franchise. The bowl I ate was flavorless and lackluster. I honestly felt like I was eating slushee chunked iced water. The few pieces of fruit that I did get were not appetizing the banana was not ripe while the blueberry and strawberry were not fresh and mushy.
