During my most recent visit, I noticed that my drink didn't taste like it had either the green tea or l-carnitine (which I pay extra for). When asking one of the employees if they added either, they informed me that they haven't had either the l-carnitine or green tea for quite some time, as it was a seasonal special. Three customers had come in and ordered at the counter and received their single orders before I did. Warning, if you want to be yelled at by a teenager go here and then receive no apology even from their superior. And, the ambiance was so dark and grimm, roughly about 2-3 customers on a Saturday. My recent experience from over the weekend: While waiting in line, another customer who arrived after me was helped before I was. I had to speak up to let the staff know I was next, and the cashier acknowledged she was aware but still bypassed me. It was uncomfortable having to assert myself just to be served. When I placed my order, the same cashier prepared my drink. During the process, she dropped fruit, which raised concerns about sanitation. At that point, I decided I no longer wanted the drink and requested a refund. However, I had to wait until another customer was done before I could even ask. When I finally spoke with the Lead on duty, she refused to issue a refund, stating the drink had already been made. She raised her voice at me, and I had to ask her not to yell, I insisted on speaking with a manager, which she was reluctant to do. When the manager Jessica was called, / had to repeat the entire situation, and neither the Lead nor the manager offered an apology for the poor service. The entire experience was extremely frustrating, took up at least 30 minutes of my day, and left me feeling disrespected. I love how everything is non-dairy, the coconut vanilla yogurt in the açaí bowl was the cherry on top for me. They were accommodating with my severe peanut allergy and accepted my request to use clean blenders and tools since they serve peanut butter in their blends. The interior is clean, chic, and modern. The girl working was very straight faced, monotone, and unenthusiastic. However, everyone deserves a pass right now so that doesn't matter to me. The only thing that bothered me is masks aren't required and there were too many people coming in without masks and it made us extremely uncomfortable, but that is specific to this current time.
