We tried Carioca Açaí at the lake Oswego farmers market/fourth of July. It was pretty good. 17 dollars for the bowl and we got. The acai bowls don't taste like it was watered down or overly mixed with blueberries instead of açaí like some places. Service was friendly

Loved the vibes here. We were craving healthy acai bowls and this place does not disappoint! THE FOOD We ordered two Carioca Bowls, one with added peanut butter. They were both densely packed with nutritious ingredients. The fruit was super fresh and tasty and the acai was delicious. Loved the honey roasted granola as well. THE ATMOSPHERE Very serene and tropical. Loved the kitchiness and all the décor. One a nice day, the outdoor area would be a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Inside there are a couple of rooms to sit and enjoy tea/coffee and conversation. THE SERVICE Very nice service staff and great conversation. I would recommend and plan to come back and try more of their menu offerings.

I really liked this place! A favorite part of travel to Hawaii is an acai bowl, but it's some something I've seen often in Portland. The bowls were loaded with fresh fruit and really all around tasty. Was just counter service, so not much to say, but the seating area is like a cozy house. Nice vibes and the kind of place you could relax and chill for hours.

Eclectic hippie spot for delicious acai bowls! The menu is extensive with plenty of options for customization (I recommend researching before going). The acai bowls were dense and nutritious with a generous amount of toppings. I ordered the ultra bowl and added blueberries! The acai is not too sweet and the fruit toppings were ripe. I love the almond butter they use! Superbly nutty and not too oily. I would avoid the cheese bread. It was a bit too chewy, spongy, and pale. The acai shines here. Expect to pay $14-18 for a medium size acai bowl and $4-8 for a drink. Street parking is plentiful. Service is friendly but can be a bit slow.

Carioca bowls was absolutely incredible! We all finished every last drop of our bowls. The ingredients are fresh and so tasty, you can tell how much thought is put into the ingredients. The owner Richard and his dog Tozi are both incredibly kind and welcoming. The seating area is cozy and has a great energy with the beautiful plants. This is a gem and a must try!

Power bowl, breakfast Sammy, honey matcha, avocado toast, rose city bowl.

Tried the avocado toast, the sausage breakfast sandwich, the iced honey matcha, the power bowl, and the rose city bowl. My friend got something with coconut and almond butter. Everything was SO amazing! The bowls all had distinct different flavors which was nice because most açaí bowls all taste very similar. The fruit was very fresh and they had so many good toppings which really made their menu large and unique. The hot food was also super delicious and fresh, made to order and quick service. Not from here but would love to come back to try more from their huge menu!

    A blessing in a bowl!

I've always wanted to try one of these açai bowls ended up getting a 20% off coupon at Forge hot yoga's, yoga in the park event so I decided to try them out and oh my goodness amazing everyone needs to try one of these. They also cater the for hot yoga, yoga in the park events pretty often so if you attend a yoga class in the park, you could get an opportunity to try one of these bowls if you're lucky.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Spacious and cozy area to have a catch up with friends over a great cup of chai/coffee with declious small bite or filling bowl of deliciousness. Give the warm and savory menu a try! It's new and our favorites the açaí oatmeal bowl, plantain stuff guava and topped with melted cheese! Oh and don't forget to try the house made chimchurri sauce on avocado toast!

I've come here two times since I've discovered it on TikTok and absolutely love it. There's much more seating outside (which is perfect for the summer and sunnier days, although not the best for rainy days), however, there's still plenty of seating inside too! The cafe is brightly colored and gives off a very fun, casual vibe. The first time I went, I made my own bowl. However, after trying my friends' already curated bowls (ie. the carioca), I decided to do the same when I went my second time--and I highly recommend doing the same if you don't have any strong preference. The pre-curated bowls are so filling. They have great portions and the toppings match so well with the blends they provide. I loved all the toppings and the different blends they offered. This is such a light, but filling way to start your day and I think it's the best acai spot in Portland.

The cheese puff rolls are so addicting good. They are chewy and I love that texture. The açaí bowls are topped with fresh fruit. The medium bowl is on the small side. Half of the bowl is placed the smoothie, the other half is the granola. Most people don't know that there aren't fresh açaí in the US - all acai bowls are made from frozen ingredients. This place also have coffees and tea available. Service is good. The ambience is very down to earth with lots of wood furniture, suitable for the tropical field. Good amount if seats and natural lighting.

Cute açaí bowl place! Their bowls are delicious and fairly large! Their fruit ingredients are really fresh too. Their cheesy bread too is a fun and delicious snack to try out! Speaking of the interior it's really cozy with a small dining area that's decorated with lots of plants! They even come bring out the açaí bowls to you when you eat in. I would recommend you come check it out!

It had so many different flavors and textures, and somehow they all worked perfectly together. Watch in-depth video breakdown here…read morehttps://youtu.be/2LsMS2vxzRU?is=U5MfItnpo97tUvuq Dirty Lettuce had me questioning whether I was really in Portland or somehow got transported back down South. I'll admit, I came into this place with a slight bias. I'm from the South, and maybe it's ignorant, but when I hear "soul food," I automatically think of the South. I grew up around soul food. I know what good collard greens taste like. I know what good mac & cheese tastes like. So when I heard people on TikTok raving about a vegan soul food restaurant in Portland, Oregon, part of me was thinking: "Soul food? In Portland? How good could it really be?" Well... Dirty Lettuce shut me up pretty quickly. I originally found this place while searching TikTok for vegan restaurants in Portland. Dirty Lettuce kept coming up, and people especially hyped up the fried chicken and BBQ ribs, so I had to see for myself. I ordered the fried chicken meal with collard greens and mac & cheese -- two sides I take VERY seriously. The fried chicken was incredible. The seasoning and batter reminded me of some kind of combination between KFC and Popeyes, while the inside stayed moist and tender. At certain points I genuinely forgot I was eating vegan chicken. It tasted and felt like I was eating a Southern fried chicken plate somewhere in Mississippi or Alabama. Then came the collard greens. Man... These greens tasted like somebody's grandma was in the kitchen cooking Thanksgiving dinner. They serve them in a bowl with plenty of pot liquor, so initially I thought they might be a little watery. Nope. That broth was PACKED with flavor. It was almost like a collard-green soup, and I mean that as a compliment. The greens and the broth complemented each other perfectly. And the mac & cheese? A1. Creamy, rich, flavorful, with this subtle smoky taste that I wasn't expecting. I don't know exactly what they did to it, but whatever they did -- KEEP DOING IT. I also tried the BBQ ribs. They were good, although they were probably my least favorite item compared with everything else. But that's almost unfair because the chicken, greens and mac & cheese set the bar ridiculously high. I also went into the ribs with huge expectations after hearing people hype them up on TikTok, and I'm not really a ribs guy to begin with. So take my opinion there with a grain of salt. They were still good. My one area for improvement would be customer service. The woman who took my order wasn't rude or anything, but I personally would have appreciated a warmer greeting and more inviting energy. I'm very big on customer service, and I think the person at the front counter sets the tone for the entire experience. Maybe she was just having an off day -- we all have them -- but that was really the only part of my visit that didn't match the quality and energy of the food. The restaurant itself is small, clean and has some really cool artwork on the walls. It has a nice atmosphere without trying to be anything overly fancy. But the FOOD is the story here. At one point during my meal, I remembered that Black people make up a relatively small percentage of Oregon's population, and I became convinced somebody from that percentage had to be back there in that kitchen cooking. Because there was no way these greens were tasting this close to something my grandma would have made on Thanksgiving. I came in skeptical. I left thoroughly impressed. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or eat meat every day of your life, I'd recommend trying Dirty Lettuce. And if you're from the South and you're skeptical about getting legitimate soul food in Portland like I was? Go ahead and try it. It legitimately reminded me of a Southern Sunday plate from somebody's mama's kitchen. Dirty Lettuce proved me wrong -- and I'm glad they did. Highly recommended. Experience: I visited Top Burmese for dinner with a friend and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. This was both of our first times. I am vegan while my friend is not and we had no struggle finding options that suited our needs. What stood out: Service: The staff was knowledgable and checked in on us frequently. Our food only took about 20 minutes to come out despite a busy dinner rush and we were offered chili flakes to spice up our curries. was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Food: For the table, we ordered the samosas which were perfectly flaky and filled with fresh veggies. I ordered the ruby garden non alcoholic beverage as well as the tofu curry with coconut rice. Every bite and drink of what I ordered tasted unique and made with intention. The samosas were incredible dipped into what tasted like a sweet and sour chili sauce. My tofu curry and coconut rice had a delightful blend of textures and tasted like no other curry I have ever had before. Ambiance: The atmosphere is so cozy with Burmese decor alongside dim lighting. It is perfect for a date night or catching up with a friend. Overall, I will be returning to Top Burmese to enjoy more of their vegan friendly curries and appetizers!

The food was so good it made my day; adding tempeh to the mighty bowl with the garlic and tahini sauce is so good. 10/10 recommend. The real reason I came to write this review though is because staff is super sweet and genuine. It was my first time coming here, and I had a lot of questions about the menu to the point where I could feel myself becoming annoying (face palm). The gal taking my order was Jessi, she was so helpful, kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and authentically friendly. I can't remember what it was that we shared a laugh about, but I walked away happy because of that type of simple interaction that restores your faith in humanity. People who have never worked in the service industry are generally clueless and walk into a restaurants like it's their first day on earth. But even with my string of annoying questions, she never once made me feel like I was being a nuisance. Whoever is in charge here you should give Jessi a raise. The ambiance was cool and the service was exceptionally fast. Unfortunately both items I ordered were gross. I love chocolate and peanut butter together esp with coffee but their drink was inedible with an awful taste. Maybe they gave me almond butter by mistake. Woof I couldn't even force it down. The quesadilla was incredibly greasy and nothing like a quesadilla. The mouth feel of the walnut chorizo with the soft vegetables was weird / it felt gritty. The flavors fell as well. The only highlight was the salsa but I'm 90% sure it was salsa de welo which you can buy at a store. No one would finish my quesadillas at the table. Major miss for me.
