He also recommended cutting the locks since he couldn't make replacement keys, which means I will have to purchase some new bike locks again soon. Regardless, grateful for Jin to provide evening and weekend services! Once to get copies of some keys and the second time, to get my high heels repaired. I actually waited a while before bringing my shoes in because they are pricey Salvatore Ferragamo pumps. But having seen him work on other people's shoes and seeing all the equipment he had indicated to me that he was an experienced cobbler. And I am glad I came to him. I had heel tips that needed replacing. Ferragamo actually included extra ones when I bought my shoes so I brought them with me. The price? $7. I'll be back.

I've never had this happen before. Even with our other handyman, plumbers, etc. - if you can't do the work, you don't get paid for NOT doing the work. We were told that this would cover gas expenses - why take a job that is out of your network? They knew our address well before coming out. Also, some of our intake conversations were over text, so I wish we discussed the job over photos so they knew what we wanted to do in terms of the job and give us a proper quote. Just felt very scammy and weird after them asking for money without starting the job.

I am a law clerk, and I was locked out of my office which had very important documents. I was tripping balls because I had locked down my office really tightly and the security was super intense. I didn't think I would be able to get in after losing my keys. It was of great importance to retrieve my important documents in a timely manner . In my rush to get them to leave and clear the traffic, I paid without question. Feeling ripped off, I called to confirm prices the night of. After asking four times, they finally gave me a rough estimate of $19 to $200. When I asked about leaving a review on Yelp, they said they didn't have a website for a review, despite claiming "instant cost estimation" on their site. I never received any estimate. These rates are exorbitant, and I strongly advise against using this service. If I'd known the price before they arrived, I would have paid the $29 fee to avoid the service. But I didn't have that chance. They refused a partial refund and said they would not give anything back befcuase it was already done. Even though they admited fault for no one informing me of price. The previous 2 times this was done for me by Freedom Locksmith, the box had shrink wrap on in, but the 2 guys had already broken the seal on the shrink wrap, despite me having asked the second time for this to NOT be done. When searching for a new locksmith, I accidentally put in a quote that sent the information out to 7-8 different locksmiths and Next Door Locksmith was one of them. I went with him because he knew exactly what I needed without me having to repeat myself via email message several times. I again asked for the box to come completely unopened. Next Door Locksmith agreed. He came with the box, but it did not have any shrink wrap this time, which I found a little odd and questioned him, but it was more imperative for me to have a new lock put on. This installation was about $75 more than the previous 2 times with the other locksmith (Freedom Locksmith). When having the receipt emailed to me instead of sent via text; the transaction receipt was from Freedom Locksmith. When I sent another message questioning the Nissin G. about this, his response was that he is the same person and that he never worked with me before. Which he did the first time. The second time he sent a different guy and this time it seems as though he's just creating additional business names on Yelp for an unknown reason. Either way, the cost of this service was a lot more expensive than the 2 prior times for the same service from the same company. I'm giving 3 stars only because of the cost and my concern of this being the same company I used prior, but them using a different name.
