Tuesday is taco night: chicken, beef, or veggie. It's the taco salad that I craved, with well seasoned chunks of tender chicken over chopped romaine & tomatoes, black beans and seasoned rice All in a crispy tortilla shell. Killer food and service. We went just before the dinner rush as the place is a bit smaller and was seated right away as a party of 4. Calamari app was amazing and the star was the sauce...which was light and full of flavor. Mahi sandwich and seafood quesadilla were on point...both perfectly done. For those not wanting seafood, the club was amazing. And if you want a unique and delicious cole slaw, this is it...vinegar based, not Mayo. Cold beer and good vibes after a hot sunny day on the beach. We'll be back for sure. read more

Super disappointed to write this review. Friends and I wanted something simple - burgers! Reviews here made us think it would be a diner like place with a decent burger. Not so much. It is a diner like atmosphere. Service wasn't unfriendly - but wasn't anything special either. Burgers were not good. Flavorless and tough. The fries weren't very good either. I couldn't eat half of the burger before giving up. The sodas tasted funny, which made me wonder if the lines for the fountain were unclean. I can't recommend this place. Will keep looking for a simple burger place in Corolla! read more

I dined at Nelly's one cold night in early March 2026. The service was satisfactory; not great, but not bad either. I had the steak sandwich, which was ... for lack of a better term ... inedible. The beef was tougher than a $5 West Texas chuck cut steak. Couldn't go beyond two bites .... and I have perfect teeth. My friend had the boiled shrimp which were, in fact, quite good. YUMMMMMM! Nelly's sandbar did NOT disappoint. i was SO hungry and waited in like for 2 hours at another restaurant just to end up leaving. Needed a place that would accommodate 5 people without a wait, and called Nellys and they fit me in! All I was craving was a seafood pasta and I got the seafood medley pasta here and it was SOOOO GOOD! Got it with the alfredo sauce and it did not disappoint. So so good. read more

We stopped in tonight after having been here last year. Nelly's is tucked in the corner of the Food Lion shopping center and is easy to miss. However, it's a hidden gem in Corolla. The food here is some of the best I've had in a casual setting. Service is great and it's a cool place inside. It's not huge but you can put your name in and they call you when the table is ready. Our kids both had the chicken fingers and each cleaned their plate. The chicken was a really good quality. We had the bruschetta appetizer which was so fresh and delicious. I tried the tuna bites - this is possibly the best dish I've had at a restaurant in years. It was so good - tuna was done perfectly on top of a jalapeño Cole slaw with a spicy sauce. The quality was amazing. Additionally, they have great cocktails with great speciality cocktails. The habanero mule was perfectly balanced with a nice kick. The staff was great...attentive and friendly but we didn't feel like we were being rushed out for the next group. This place really is an awesome spot with a talented chef. read more

Very disappointed! The first few times we ate here, the food and service were great. The last two times service was slow and other patrons who came in after us were waited on first. The chicken alfredo was VERY dry and not creamy like alfredo sauce should be. It appeared to be overly reheated in the microwave. The Ultimate Grilled Cheese wasn't even grilled. It was more of a regular sandwich on barely toasted bread. Would have to be desperate to go back here again. read more

Absolutely delicious food! I had a club sandwich that was so good I came back for a steak sandwich for dinner. Highly recommend both. Both servers and bartenders were attentive despite being busy and also inundated with pickup orders. Although new, the restaurant had a great atmosphere. I felt at home the entire time I was there. I left feeling full and even got some merchandise for this new spot. Will be back ASAP! read more

Amazing food, service, and ambiance. Third time eating here and every experience has been great. Owner is super friendly and helpful. We ordered Steak n Cheese and BLT with onion rings and sweet potato fries. Both starches were well worth the upgraded cost. Sandwiches were over-stuffed with meat and all ingredients were fresh. We had another great meal at Nelly's. The service is always friendly. The seafood quesadilla was delicious and my husband had the mango habanero wings that were a special. They were advertised as super hot and they were, just how he likes them. They were smoked and grilled. He said they were the best wings he has ever had. read more

What to say about Nelly's? Fantastic food and service! Drinks came fast, food was well above standard bar food. Only down fall is the hard seating. Would recommend to anyone or any size group! Well Done Nelly's! read more

When we first walked in we were skeptical. It was a quaint environment but food was phenomenal! Very wide variety of food options from seafood to burgers to steak salad to cheesesteaks. A lot of people were getting takeout which shows that even locals know it's a great place! Friendly local service. Definitely will be returning here next time we visit. read more

My nieces name is Nell so we decided we had to go here and we are glad we did, we may have found a new go to spot for the weeks spent at the beach. The food across the board was really good, the fries were different but very good, the size of steak fries but tastes like a fluffy seasoned fry. Fried pickles were thin and crispy. We had a large party and the service was good, seating is not ideal for large parties but they were more than accommodating and a very nice staff. Ambiance is beachy/diner bar. We will definitely be going back and cannot wait to try something else there! read more

This place RULES!!! After eating my weight in fried food all week, I wanted something fresh and Mediterranean inspired. The hummus was DELIGHTFUL served with fresh vegetables!! My family made an order and designated a person to pick it up. Waited 20 minutes upon arrival to tell them the name of the order. The problem is that we were finally given the food we had seen on the window since we got there, we drove 30 minutes home, and part of the order wasn't there, including our children's meals. We called repeatedly- straight to voicemail. They weren't taking online orders anymore. So we drove there, and I left a voicemail so maybe they could have the food ready when we arrived. I left one voicemail but called several times to make sure I wasn't just calling while they were on the line with someone else. No such luck, straight to voicemail every time. We drove 30 minutes out to get a replacement order. I told a staff member of our missing food, then another one, each walking away from me as I spoke the two to three sentences needed to describe the order. I practically had to start yelling because the second one was walking away and said he couldn't hear me. A third staff member brought us the missing food. Instead of our kids having dinner at 8, they had dinner at 9:30, and our family didn't get to take a planned last trip to the sand and eat our dinner before the family splits for their own homes tomorrow. We ended up being unable to go back to the beach because of this situation, which wouldn't have been so frustrating (restaurants make mistakes and mess up orders- it happens) if they had picked up the phone and/or each staff member didn't walk away while I said the few words needed. I couldn't express any further concerns due to being brushed off at every turn. Food was great, response to the issue was unsatisfactory. read more
