So far great!!!! Covered parking cameras everywhere..Some of the parking is a little tight but there is other parking. TV, fridge( 1/2) 2 oven burners,sink oh yeah did I mention it has shower & tub? Water pressure isn't great(welt... Message peel paint off) but it is good... So far the only thing's that I have found to keep me saying Y..... Y would you only have one tiny garbage (tissue) can for the whole room including vanity and restroom.The other would be... Do not like having con joining rooms with strangers. Then to also find out the rear deck is also without divider.... May its just me.... KINDA ODD feeling go out to smoke n sliding door wide open next door.. This place is kind of a joke. Unfortunately there is no place to stay in Pullman on busy weekends and you just have to take what you can get. This place definitely charges a premium on busy weekends. For example: we came over for the thursday night football game and I was curious to see how much it would cost if I just wanted to stay one night it would be over $100, but the second night which was a non-peak night was only $80. In total our 2 night stay was over $275. So the average rate is $80 but they jack it way up where there are events. This place is a motel and it is old and decrepit. Just walking up the stairs into the B building, some of them are cracked and you think they are about to give out any second. The hallway smells like an old dorm or God knows what... We walked into our room to see a light blue sink that stands about knee height...I am only 5'4"... and maroon carpets. The furniture also hasn't been updated since 1975 and the beds are AWFUL. I woke up with the worse back pain ever. My BF woke up so sore that he had to ask me if he got into a fight last night LOL. No dear, just with the mattress. There was no mini fridge in our room, not even a mini-mini fridge like the other reviewer said. Luckily we had a cooler of our own. The room is not outfitted for the modern age because there is not a single plug in to be found that isn't blocked by a giant piece of furniture ie: TV/bed/vanity. The only plug ins are in the bathroom and they are functioning at half power at most. The walls are PAPER thin. I could hear people stumbling in all night. Yes the were loud, but we are half way down the hall from the entrance and I am pretty sure I could hear the people 3 doors down and below us. The shower was not a bath which I am actually ok with. Water pressure in the shower totally sucks. And like the other reviewer said sometimes the only water available is HOT or SCALDING HOT. The toilet barely flushes, there is no pressure you have to hold down the handle the whole time to get it to go down. Our friends had stayed here before and they were telling us watch out for the brown water. Yikes. One of the windows doesn't have a screen on it the other one does... Overall this place is just warn down. I could go on and on about the other things I have seen in this place, like the uselessly slow WIFI or the fact that I felt the need to check for bed bugs when we first walked in (didn't find any luckily although my skin was crawling all night I could hardly sleep, maybe it was just the scratchy sheets...) Really the only positive thing I can say about this place is that the heat was on when we got in the room and that was really nice so it wasn't freezing. Oh and the smoke detector battery was beeping because it was dead. So we told them on our way out for the day and they did fix it right away and cleaned up the room even though we didn't request it. So I will give them and extra star for that - and I am being really generous here. Never ever would I stay here again unless I absolutely had no other choice. Nendel's its time for a remodel. Actually just tear damn place down and start over. You charge and arm and a leg to stay here I think you can afford it, you are just being cheap. read more

Words can't really begin to describe how awful this place is. I knew it was rundown, but the location was good for a busy college move in weekend, so I risked it. Never again! The person at the front desk is also the GM. So if you think your going to get anywhere with her when you address your concerns about the smelly filthiness of your room, well you would be wrong. No room cleaning. No fresh towels. Bed linen with more holes in them than I could count. Sticky surfaces. Door insecure. Complaints to management were met with rudeness and a "too bad " response. Okay, I'm going to start by saying this isn't a 4 star review in comparison to a Hilton, it's a 4 star review as in this is 'college town Pullman Washington, it could be worse!' Pros: great location, walking distance to Martin Stadium, pretty clean'ish, new linens for bed and towels. (although they do tell you that linens will be inventoried before you check out.....we aren't prone to stealing hotel linens, so no big deal), 1964 vintage feel.... Cons: 1964 vintage feel (if they spent a little $$, this place could be a vintage gold mine!), outdated/mismatched furniture, slopey floor, sink made for short people..... and My MAJOR complaint is that I couldn't shower in the rusty water that wouldn't drain.....that's unacceptable, and could be easily fixed.... FIX THAT! So, it isn't terrible, it could be worse.... as long as you aren't planning to hang out in the room all day, or shower, it's fine..... The worst place I have ever been. I booked one night to have a place to sleep after dropping my kid off at WSU. For $120 I at least expect the staff to be civil and room to be clean. Bad assumption. The receptionist was rude. The room was disgusting and smelly. There was a huge, revolting hair ball in the shower. When I showed the girl a picture she just said, "well we don't have another room." I got a refund and got out of there as quickly as possible. Do yourself a favor and look up Air BnB if the decent hotels are all booked. read more

Located just off campus they charged exorbitant rates for graduation weekend and don't put so much as coffee or clean cups in the room. I should have read the reviews first but I reserved 2 rooms for our grandsons graduation thinking it was close to the graduation. 1 room for my husband and I and one for my husbands mother. When my mother-in-law got sick and can't make the trip I realized that we should stay at my relatives home I tried to cancel and they refused. So I tried to work with Booking.com and they called on my behalf and they where told they had charged the card when the reservation was made That was a lie, when they talked to us both I could see them put the charge through my card. Like everyone else, when I was growing up my mom told me if I had nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. I'm breaking her rule....because I have nothing good to say about this place. My story starts on June 22, when I gave up on another nearby motel's reservation system and came here (in person) to reserve 4 rooms for a weekend in October. This went smoothly enough....the lady took my name, put it all in the computer along with my credit card information to guarantee it, and gave me a confirmation number. The whole time, her yappy little rat dog barked at me in the lobby, while she seemed unaware it was happening. This would have been less irritating if it had taken her less than 15 minutes to program in a reservation. Cut to September 27, a mere 8 days before my reservation. I get home from work and there's a message on my phone saying that there's a problem with my credit card and if I don't call back, my reservations will be cancelled. The message was left at 9:30 AM. Knowing that there's virtually no chance of finding one available room in Pullman at this point, much less 4, I call immediately. The guy who answers the phone says no problem, confirms my reservation is in the computer. Doesn't know anything about a credit card problem, but he'll talk to the manager and give me a call back in a few minutes. I wait an hour before I start calling back. A dozen calls between 7:30 and 10 PM, with no answer at all. I try again in the morning at 7:30 and finally get the manager....who promptly tells me that my reservation was cancelled the day before, claiming she tried running my card on the 20th, and that it was declined repeatedly. That she and her staff called me several times and I never called back. Why, or what, she was trying to charge me more than 2 weeks before my reservation, I don't know. With the slightest effort, I confirmed both claims to be totally false. My credit card statement showed that on the 20th, and on each day after, there was more than enough room under the limit to charge the entire balance. My caller ID box - on both of my phones - not only showed no messages, but not a single call from any Pullman number or any number that I did not recognize. I'll likely complain to the area BBB over this. I ended up managing to get 2 rooms back at Nendels, in spite of my desire to shut them out completely. I only got one other room at another local motel, and could not recover the 4th room, which left one person in my group forced to stay in Moscow, 10 miles away. I did not stay at Nendels myself, letting my friends take the larger rooms here while I stayed in a small closet at another motel. Besides, I had what I felt was a legitimate desire to punch the manager in the face, so thought I should be somewhere else. Here's what I learned in visiting though: The beds were uncomfortable, and some of the pillows had an odd smell...something between mildew and stale beer. The water was either cold or scalding hot, with very little in between, and the knob on the sink was broken, making it tough to adjust. It was noisy - both traffic noise and other guests who were pretty much allowed to carry on all night. The legally required rate card on the back of the door, and emergency instructions, were absent, which allowed them to charge ridiculous rates ($125/night plus tax, 2 night minimum) for a bad hotel. Parking was a nightmare in their tiny lot, which they share with the adjacent restaurant. The mini-fridge in both rooms was barely functional, and was actually a mini-mini-fridge, only big enough for about a six pack, and the microwaves were dirty. The tubs had hair in them. Some of the towels were stained and looked dirty. Overall, a bad, overpriced motel. It looks fine from the street with their new siding, but it's putting a dress on a pig. Not a penny has been invested in the interior of the place, and the management make no effort at all. Don't ever stay here. read more

My daughter booked a room with two queen beds two weeks ago. It was for her little sisters graduation, and all other places were booked. The first thing that we noticed was the only deadbolt had been replaced with those slide locks and the deadbolt was on the inside of the door frame. See photo. Then, there was either blood or poop stains on the wash cloth. The mini fridge was so stuck closed that I had to break a fingernail trying to pry it open. The heater stuck on all night so we had to open the balcony door to sleep. The power strip didn't come up from behind the entertainment center so we could plug in a laptop. There were no lids for the warm coffee in the morning. All that for 97.00? The only reason she didn't ask for her money back was we didn't want to waste time dealing with them another minute. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! THIS BUSINESS SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN AND DEMOLISHED! And in reading others reviews, I found out the mattresses were donated from a thrift store. Awful. Filthy and dirty. The lampshades were tattered and torn. The toilet had a disgusting black ring in it. That is only part of it. Avoid this place at all costs. Stayed during graduation weekend so we paid top dollar. We were quoted one price(three times and booked on that price) and charged another. When we called to correct it the woman became aggressive and essentially said too bad. I suggest booking early on AND SOMEWHERE ELSE. Don't do it. Drive to Lewiston if you have to. The showers are the deciding factor for me: scalding hot if you are up at 5:30 (according to my wife), freezing cold for everyone else. Staying here for Dad's Weekend and really all I want is to be able to clean up to go to brunch with my daughter. I've done a lot of backpacking and I'm used to washing in mountain streams, but I didn't think I would have to pay for the "privilege". Also all the other reviews are accurate: thin walls, bad beds, horrible breakfast, uncaring staff. Stay away. read more

We were in town to visit WSU and Nendel's is in the perfect location. I had read previous reviews so I knew what to expect. It was exactly as expected. Older and clean enough. They allow pets so of course the carpet is old. We slept great (our mattress was very comfortable) and the water pressure in the shower was fabulous. Parking is tight, but not impossible. If you need someplace to sleep that is decent and convenient to the university, this fits. read more

This place is extremely rundown. It just needs to be leveled and replaced. The room smelled stale and like old carpet. The sink had no hot water. The dryer didn't work. The Kleenex box was empty. There was a nasty ass large stain on the carpet. There were many vile stains on the bedspreads. The fridge froze everything in it. The luggage stand had a broken strap and looked like it was hit by a bus. The shower at least had hot water but it took an excessively long time to get there. As gross as the entire place was and specifically the room itself; we did not see any bugs-- thank God. The shower had its fair share of pubes for sure. On the positive side--- sorry there isn't one. I would never stay here again and will warn everyone they should just cough up the extra cash and stay at the Holiday Inn Express which practically next door. read more

Stayed here for Moms Weekend since everything else in Pullman was booked. Wasn't expecting much at all considering everything but still managed to be worse than we expected. Noise was a huge problem, especially with the gravel in the parking lot so every time a car pulled in or out you could clearly hear it. The walls and ceiling are very poor at keeping noise and cold out as well. The heater was constantly rattling all night. The worst of all is the bedbug we found under the pillow on the last night. This is unacceptable even for a low quality inn. We went to the front desk to nicely complain and the woman at the front desk was very rude insisting that they don't have bed bugs and that the room was clean even though we presented her with the actual bed bug in a cup. Will NEVER be staying here again and highly suggest against staying here if you don't want to get bitten by bed bugs or be given terrible service. read more

We were recently in town to help our son with car problems and hadn't planned on needing a hotel however we picked this hotel because of price and location to campus. Decor was old but we were okay with it because it was just the one night and the price was right however what I didn't expect was that the heater would not work, I called down to the office and the lady at the front desk said just keep turning it up but didn't seem too concerned. I had it up all the way and nothing no clicking no heat no cold air Nada... We slept in our clothes and thank god I had a throw blanket in the car. I decided to say something the next morning when checking out but it was the same person as the night before and she proceeded to snicker even when I told her we had to sleep with clothes on and an extra blanket. She said she would report it. I believe she knew about the heater prior to my reporting of it, my husband said it was as if a breaker was off. read more

SAD SAD SAD, The only way that this place stays in biz is their location next to WSU. The place could put mats on the floor and they will still get their $200/night. The staff can care less about the customer needs, they have you by the balls. Rooms have that "just been used looked'. Wrinkled everything. Who can you complain to the Pullman Hotel police?? This place will continue to be a draw due to location, unless they find harmful mold..(did not think to check for that since everything else sucked). It will remain open. Try to ask for extra towels...LOL If someone answers the phone. Call early and make reservations at Idaho Inn in Moscow now. Here comes mothers weekend around the corner mid-April. I would hope more people complain about this place. Good Luck if you are stuck...I doubt the owners care about their reviews. My wife has stayed here twice; the first time she was so exhausted she collapsed and slept. but the second time? Oh...my...gosh. So first, the girl took a half an hour to check her in. My wife works in road construction--flagging--and after a 12 hour day in the hot Palouse sun she is extremely tired. Then my wife gave them a 100 dollar bill (they said on the phone they would honor cash as long as they had a CC on file, which they already had) but the clerk didn't have a key to the cash box to make her change, so she told my wife they'd settle in the morning. So what happened instead? After basically getting into the room at 7 and crashing out for the night, they knock several times on the door at 10pm waking her up and wanting their money (?!). Seriously? Not professional at all. My wife tried to pay, but they couldn't make the change because of their own inefficiency...and they rudely wake her like she's some deadbeat motel bum. Needless to say my wife was horrified. This after finding out the strip that powered the TV and a few lights was bad so none of them would work. Road construction crews beware: you'd be better off going to Cougar Land. read more

We recently stayed at Nendel's for an assembly at the university. There were about 1800 of us in town for this event and about 90% of the people staying at Nendels were from our group. The interior of this Inn has not been upgraded in years and we were sure to wipe down everything with bleach toweletts. There was no hot water for showers for about 85% of the customers and the other 5% were scalded. We were told by the front desk that she would "mention it" to the maintenance man when he arrived 30 to 45 minutes later. There were 2 coffee pots and 1 hot water pot in the lobby with no coffee in any of them and the "hot water" was almost warm and no one behind the front desk for a good 30 minutes to help make more coffee. Over all, this is not an establishment I would ever stay in again because management doesn't seem to care a bit about their clients needs or comfort. read more

Just wanted to update the review in case anyone was wondering HAS IT CHANGED? ugh! how I wish! We spent two miserable nights here,,, WHY TWO? Because there were two conventions in town and everyone was booked. At first glance it looked OK, front desk was decently clean and the employee was VERY nice, have no complaints about him. Room looked decent, but then it was dark when we got there. It was a chilly night, and I have a young child... and there was NO HEAT in the room. NONE, he did bring us extra blankets and oh yeah,,, a space heater! We survived, thankfully the child is warm blooded. Stupidly I thought they would fix the heater since we complained it didnt work, but Nope. In the light, the ceiling and walls were gross, don't think they were cleaned in the last 20 years, Oh yeah, and the beds OOPS skipped the HIDEOUS night, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone and everything , we were next to the hall door and it slammed EVERY time someone came thru it,,, ALL night. (Oh if you are a partier, you would probably love this hotel, I dont think anyone goes there to sleep!) the beds are a good 20 years old, and hard as a rock, my husband likes a hard bed but this killed him. They say they have a "breakfast" and it says it starts at 7, yeah well the front door was locked til after 8. We left at 8 so I dont know how long after that before they opened it. On a good note, cuz I dont want to sound like I am totally against them, they did have a nice shower, great water pressure. SO if you are looking for a good shower,,,, well ,,,, here ya go.
