I have a Quadient postage machine under contract, with 7 months left on the term. I am merging my office with another firm and want to PRE-PAY the ENTIRE remaining balance due under the contract and return the machine early. But nooooooo! According to Quadient, even if i pay in FULL every penny that is owed under the contract, returning the machine early will result in a 30% penalty-----even though Quadient is paid in full, suffers no damages, and gets the machine back early. Instead, per Quadient, i have to take the machine home, pay an invoice every month for 8 months, and THEN ship it back to them. Makes no sense and the 30% early return "penalty" may actually be an illegal penalty. I may consider challenging it via arbitration, and if successful, bring a class action for disbursement/return of the 30% charged for all equally situated class members. I, along with so many, it appears, have been scammed by what I thought was a company with reliable and helpful account reps. We have not been using our quadient machine due to the expense of having it/using it, we are paying $1700/ quarterly, and then there were fees on top of that during our busier time of the year when we started using postage above a certain amount each month, even though I was paying weekly for the postage so we would never reach the 'plateau' or 'limit' on the postage account! Why would I need to pay a fee to Quadient for postage I'm paying to the USPS!?! We have not used these machines since early 2024 and I paid the shipping costs to return these machines to Milford CT, from Nebraska in August of 2024. I was told we would owe Quadient $26,581 since our lease wasn't up even though we had spent the funds to send all of the equipment back to them. I had let them know our business has changed, we are in the process of selling and transferring ownership and don't use the equipment and then can re-lease it all to someone else since we returned it, and they don't care. I've had emails from reps and phone conversations suggesting they'll see if they can help, and then they do not get back to me. Returned to the office after working from home and it obvious we no longer needed the machine. i have been trying since June of 2021 to get out of this lease. Oh they would do it for a buyout of $5,000. We were informed there was no other way out. Mind you we are 25 year customer of Neopost never had an issue. We decided to keep the machine and wait it out. Fast forward to 8/2024. We are informed that meter is going to be disabled and a new one sent but we had to sign another 5 year contract. We were not interested In December of 2024 I hear from them again saying we had to sign an addendum to end of lease. I never received the addendum. Come back from Christmas break January 2025 still no addendum and our meter has been disabled. I called again they will execute and addendum. Finally the end of March I received the addendum and our meter is still disabled. I signed the addendum March 2025 - no response no new meter. I called 4/22 spoke with our Rep who once again lied and gave me the run around. When I informed him I had a chain of email correspondence he didn't know what to say. He said I will call right now and see where the machine is. Well it is April 23, 2025 and I never received a return phone call and I still have no postage meter. He gave me every excuse in the book as to the situation. This has been going on Since August of 2024. They are scammers and liars and extremely unprofessional. Neopost bought out the company that we have been using for 10 years. we updated our machine because it was really outdated and when we tried to terminate the contract when it was up, neopost told us that we renewed a three year contract when we updated our machine. When we still tried to terminate they told us that if we wanted to terminate we could have to pay the termination fees along with all the payments due for the three year contract in order to terminate. read more

The equipment provided by this company is completely unusable and they have shown no willingness to troubleshoot the issue with us. They offered to send us a router, but this would not actually solve the problem because we have a router. In addition, they are refusing to allow us to cancel our contract, and the only way out is to pay the full amount due. This company, now Quadient, is a hot mess. We moved in March and they still send invoices to our old address, along with their late payment fee since we now don't get invoices on time. I have sent them multiple requests to change the address, via phone, email, and snail mail, and nada. It took months for me to be able to access the online account. They ask questions related to your account in order to set it up, but none of the answers they required were available to me. For example, they asked for an invoice number, but they don't put invoice numbers on their invoices! Unfortunately, the private postage meter industry is just garbage so there aren't many options available. I ordered this postage machine in late springl and finally received it in early July2. When I tried to set it up I could not connect and called for help. After waiting on hold for almost an hour I decided I would never do business with a company with such bad customer service. I left the machine packed in the box as it arrived and began replying to all emails from Quadient that I did not want the machine and to supply instructions to return it. I continued to email several times a month that I needed to return it and never got a reply or a notice that the email had bounced. When the 3 month "free trial" ended on October 2 I began calling the number on the invoice that appeared, charging me $197 (not sure for what as I never used it) telling them the machine was still in the box and I had been asking for instructions to return it since the day it arrived. On October 28 I called again and was told they were preparing return labels and I should have them by the end of the week. When they didn't appear, I called on Nov. 19 and was told a request to void the invoice was submitted and I should have notice by email within 48 hours. When that didn't happen I called again (each time waiting on hold for 30+ minutes) and was told that timeline was ridiculous and that it would take 6-8 weeks. I called again on j12/2 to tell them I was selling the business and I wanted the machine out of my office where it has resided for 5 months. I was told the request (from October 2) was in a department called "compliance" and she had no idea how long it would take but she would ask for it to be expedited. She could read the emails I had sent and never received a response to. She would not copy me on the email to expedite the request. We have been NEOPOST customers for years. Quadient took over and it has been an uphill battle. The first week of April we had a new postage meter delivered (sales person Kim Drolet); the sales person NEVER told me that we had to have an internet connection in the mail room, so when the serviceman, Carolos came on April 6th, he told me that he wasn't even going to take it out of the box, that we could not use it in the mail room. I called the sales person KIM DROLET and have called her 16 times since that date to have the machine picked up. Also notified her so-called manager Tim Chumbley. Today is June 22nd and I still have the equipment sitting in boxes waiting for mailing labels to send it back. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE customer service. Customer service is nonexistent. The meter did not work the first time I placed an envelope on the scale. I contacted the sales rep who said they would send a replacement meter along with a shipping label to return the original. That never happened. Emailed him several times after that, no response. Finally I sent an email to a different person proving copies of the prior emails. Received a call and spoke with her a few weeks ago. Nothing has happened since. They keep sending me invoices with late fees. They are not going to get a dime out of me since they did not perform their part of the contract by giving me a working postage meter. If they let the whole year of the contract pass without doing anything the meter is going in the dumpster. My Pitney Bowes Mailstation 2 is a workhorse, but I suggest you purchase off brand ink cartridges, it will save you a bundle. read more

I would also give this company negative stars if possible. Leasing terms are confusing and are required to be paid through "MailFinance." Postage terms are confusing and are required to be paid through "NeoFunds." These are separate entities and balances may not be transferred between them. Payment on postage is a Net 28 period, so automatically large companies utilizing the standard Net 30 period rack up late fees. Not to mention that it takes NeoFunds approximately a week to send your invoice to you. They require 90 days notice to end your lease with them and require it to be in writing on company letterhead. Archaic, irritating, time-wasting. If somehow you've signed a lease for a longer term when you rented your machine, they will charge you for every remaining penny. Think of them as your terrible landlords. Customer service pushes all responsibility back onto the customer. They have now lost two $2,000-$3,000 checks from my department within my organization, oftentimes depositing the checks into other departments' accounts, and I have had to track down the cleared check and send to them to prove their error. They will do NO legwork and they do NOT apologize. Outside of one service representative at a car dealership, this is by far the worst customer service I've received. Beware. Beware! The worst decision ever made was to renew the Quadient/Neopost contract for 36 months. They use predatory leader practices and don't tell you such things as having to pay over $100 for ink cartridge replacement after 'The first one is free'. Don't go to their company-controlled review websites for reference. See that Yelp, Google, and BBB are majority 1-star reviews that detail corrupt practices of the company. Example: When you cancel a contract you must wait 6-8 weeks for the return label that they are charging $50 for when you could be $19.99 at USPA if they would provide a return address. There are better no contract companies to use unless you are mailing out over $500 a month. And if you are doing that I would advise you to use a local third-party company that can apply bulk mailing rates. read more

Quadient (formally Neopost) also use predatory lending and leasing practices to lock you into long leases with auto renewing contacts that must be cancelled 120 days in advance and when you do try to cancel with them, they make almost impossible to cancel, and when you do cancel before your auto renew date, get ready to get billed high early termination fees. So I wish I would have read the NEOPOST reviews before I contracted with them.. I'm sorry you have to rate at least 1 star; I'd rather leave the star rating blank. My cancellation story begins in July of 2019 when I called to cancel the service, I did everything Neopost asked in addition to a putting my cancellation notice on Company letterhead. Three months later I still hadn't received the email with the return label, but I cntinued to receive invoices. I called customer service and got someone on the phone after a 2 hr hold time.. I was told not to pay the invoices and was also told I will be receiving no more invoices...yeah right... I kept receiving invoices, mad the call and was told not to pay, since the cancellation was in process.. And I received more invoices, and then received a collection letter and email.. As my blood began to boil, I called the person who signed the letter to find out that these letters / emails go out from corporate without her knowledge.. and she told me to disregard the letter.. It would take about 3 months to receive the return label.. Upon waiting and waiting I still did not receive the label so I called my "contact" again and I was told I would have to start the process all over again due to the contract language.... After I exploded I asked for the President's name and address to write a formal complaint.. She did not know the President's name and had to find out from a supervisor. Then somehow she figured out I did not have to start the whole process over again, and the label would be forthcoming within 3 months.. I hung up and kept receiving invoices.. Remember I started this process back in July of 2019. Neopost offered a contract of 50% of what I was paying which I refused... It is now Feb 11, 2010, and I finally received the lable.. 7 months after I cancelled. THe machine was picked up by FedEx this afternoon, which I thought weas the end of the story... Ahem, I received a Neopost invoice today for the costs associated with returning the equipment and the cancellation of the contract.. Not sure where to begin. 1. changes to my account without my authorization. 2. moving billing dates almost purposely to charge service fees. 3. not crediting my account following invoice payments. Checks cashed 2 weeks before due date, but still charged late fees. 4. No posting funds to my account, loosing wire transactions and to refunding the funds. 5. Charging 7 percent tax in Washington County, Pennsylvania which is 6%. 6. By far the worst and rudest customer service reps in the entire world. This machine is absolutely garbage. The company I work for ordered a brand new machine in replace of the old neopost machine and it's 10x worse. I guarantee if you spend 20 minutes using this machine, you will want to pick it up and smash it on the floor. Example: if you want 40 envelopes stamped, only about 15 will actually get stamped. The rest just get caught in the machine or just skipped. So then you have to do the same thing multiple times when it should've taken 1. Biggest pile of junk I've ever seen. Our Hardware store has been a Neopost Customer - aka Neopost Chump - since 2001 and have leased 3 postage meters and have just 4 months left on our current meter lease. Per their terms, I notified them that we would not be renewing our lease on 4/23/17 and would like to pay it off the remaining 4 months ($125x4 or $500)and return it now. They responded with an absurd termination fee of $2618.82 plus shipping costs! The buyout amount of $1487.83 is also absurd. But at $1130.99 less than the termination fee, it will leave me with money to spend on the gallons of wine I need to drink after dealing with Neopost on the phone and by email As a loyal, paying customer since 2001; it's Merlot-worthy that it our 1-sided relationship must end this way. Once someone at Neopost provides me with the the buyout instructions I will forward payment right away! As someone who lives in an apartment that uses Parcel Pending lockers by Quadient, I just want to say that their service is pure garbage of burning dumpster quality. Their Parcel Pending service is so secure, that you can't use the lockers at all or even log in to your account. Oh, and don't even bother trying to call customer service. There's no one home. Their automated message even says they might be delayed due to high call volumes during the holidays...it's August. read more

I'm not sure if I've ever hated a company as much as I hate Neopost. I agree with Carl O., you'd be better off hand delivering all your mail than using Neopost. The customer service and issue resolution time is horrific. We were promised a lower rate for our 15+ accounts and it took 3 months and countless frustrating calls to actually see this reflected on our invoices. I called to change an incorrect billing address on an invoice and instead, Neopost changed 3 accounts shipping address to the one I gave them??? Most recently we realized we'd never received invoices for an account we opened in OCTOBER (it's now the end of May) not only did Neopost never realize, but I've called 4 times and still no invoices. When calling Neopost to address an issue you will soon realize its like sending your complaint into a black hole. Mostly rude customer service attendants will tell you they'll "expedite" your issue however, that means nothing. You will not get a call back or resolution of the problem unless you continue to call them frequently. The customer service is based in TX while the corporate HQ is in CT. Customer service likes to act like once they send the issue to the billing dept at corporate there's nothing they can do. Hey maybe pick up a phone and call them? I've asked if I can call the billing dept directly....of course not. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHATEVER YOU DO. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
