I love Staples. Sort of like the office supply answer to the Container Store. I could be here for hours, interminably roaming about the aisles until my partner pried me away from the store. This store is next to the Panera in Shelton, easy distance from the hotels, techie district and office complexes that have sprouted on the Route 8 corridor. Despite the busy interior, it has very friendly and knowledgeable employees. I was made to feel at home and loved the visit. read more

My experience was extra fantastic because sales rep "Bailey" was informative and took the time to explain the difference between all the staplers to me. My mom is elderly and has trouble using most household items. He was very supportive and kind. We will be doing all our shopping for supplies for our business at that location because of him. read more

Meh. It was like a ghost town both times I've been in. They seem to be understaffed...though maybe that's all they need if the customer flow isn't high. However, with only one person at the Print Shop, our small order wasn't ready when we arrived (and it had been put in that morning for us to pick up that evening). Since the employee wasn't jumping over hurdles to pump out the order while we waited, not sure if the delay was due to under-staffing, or something else. Bathrooms were fine. Not horrible. This store is a smaller version of other Staples stores and quite adequate, and I'll tell you why: Nowadays more and more people order online and Staples gives great online deals so what I do is load up my cashback toolbar, place my order, get my 6.7% cashback in addition to online discounts (14.4% cashback for copy and print jobs), and then hop over to the store to pick it up and any incidentals I may have forgotten, or whatever catches my eye. The few times I have been in here I have not been asked if I need help. Also they rarely have what I am looking for, and I kick myself every time I go here, only to have to order it on Amazon. Today I was simply looking for pink folders - they had a variety pack with 2 but I needed all pink - this does not seem like a far fetched request for a office supplies store. I did like their line of I believe Cynthia Rowley supplies which are hidden all the way in the last aisle which makes no sense. While I am still living here I will come here only out of immediate necessity. Another positive (although I have no need to use it) is they do have a post office location in here. read more

Don't go for the copy paper rebate! If you want to buy 5 reams of copy paper they charge you 26.99 plus state tax... Then you get a receipt and rebate form that is 16 inches long... Don't even try to to to Stapleseasyrebates.com because it is just plain difficult... Then you don't even get a rebate... You get a charge card with $17 bucks on it which cannot be cashed in... WOW what an incompetent group of employees! I ordered holiday card online that were suppose to be ready within 24 hours. I get an e-mail the next day at 10AM saying my cards were ready. I arrive at Staples in Shelton around 4:30PM to pick up the cards and I'm told they are not ready and to come back tomorrow. WHAT? There's 3 employees just standing around doing absolutely nothing so I asked for the manager. A women comes out and I explain the situation and show her my e-mail. She asks where the e-mail came from - it's from staples you idiot! She then went behind the print counter, comes back and says oh your cards need to be cut. They were literally in my hands 30 seconds later. REALLY? All they had to do was send them through a machine yet that was going to take another day. On my way out the lady who was "too busy to send my cards through the machine" was smoking a cigarette in front of the store so I also got a lung full of smoke on the way out. This staples needs a serious evaluation by headquarters! read more

The store manager, Eric Silva, of staples store (#0727) at Shelton is the rudest people I ever met with in staples and any other places. 1. I went to staples store in orange of Connecticut to buy some gift cards. Eric silva worked at orange staples store at that time, I told him I want to buy $500 gift card and I will split the bill into several credit cards, he said nothing to me and charged $500 into one credit card. I said I told you to split the bill, I have not enough in that credit card and I would not sign to approve the transaction. He said he can do nothing on it, and threatened me that I must to buy it, no matter I sign or not. 2. I went to Shelton store on 12/21/2014 to buy a computer. The total price is about $320. I have a $300 staples egift card and $50 staples promotion card. He did not allow me to use them. I told him the $300 is staples egift card, same as physical card. He provocatively asked me: " Do you remember me? Do you remember me in orange? " Then" you can only use one. Goodbye!" I was embarrassed by his deliberate provocation. How could he be a store manager?!! read more

Been shopping at the Fairfield store for years with helpful employees and great service.... moved to the Shelton area and have had nothing but poor service from the front area personnel... they act like they are unhappy to see you and that you are bothering them, never a smile or "How may I help you"...they avoid you as long as possible... the encounter usually goes like this... employee doesn't know anything about it or where to look... front manager comes up doesn't say hello and has an abrupt/disturbed look on her face... disappears for ten minutes ... comes back and gives orders about what you have to do .... never suggest looking at another or similar product and walks away quickly before you can talk to her ... just no help at all... getting tired of this kind of service and wondering why Staples allows it... the good news is the computer techs are always helpful and knowledgeable ... but who wants to check out after the first encounter...... read more
