NEP Plumbing's Eugene was at my house by 3:15 pm (although he could have come earlier if I had been available) for the 3-4pm scheduled arrival. For the quoted price of $250, he removed my toilet and addressed the clog. He was very mindful to be polite to take off his shoes outside of my house for fear that he would track something indoors. He also was really good about setting his items down on cardboard he brought with him to avoid dirtying my house. He tried a cheaper fix first to use a 6' snake with a sort of toothed/"grappling hook" head to unclog the toilet, but the clog was farther along in the pipelines. He then proceeded to remove the toilet from the flooring and addressed the clog. He was successful in unclogging the toilet within an hour (now a little after 4:30pm). As he was leaving, he gave me an assessment of the toilet. He mentioned that the house's piping was metal piping and likely to "grab" any thing that passed through as the metal degrades over time. He mentioned that plastic piping would be better. (He noted that he had addressed my next door neighbor's piping for the same clog!) Before he left, he sent me an invoice via email and asked how I preferred to pay. Among the options were Zelle and Venmo. I paid him via Venmo. Would recommend for servicing. read more

I called NEP this week to replace a leaky toliet. The toliet was very old so I decided to have it replaced instead. I called NEP plumbing and had Eugene come out the next day to replace the toilet. He sent me links for toilets to choose from at Home Depot and once I decided on which one, he purchased the toilet on my behalf and replaced it with that unit. Eugene showed up on time and only took about 90 minutes to complete the job. I paid for the removal and replacement of the toilet plus the cost of a new one. All in all it was a really good deal and I can't complain. Additionally, he did an amazing job and I'm very happy with his work. Dang if this wasn't just a solid job done! So the toilet started leaking at the base a couple days ago, and my landlord is pretty uh, thrifty? So she asked me to get an estimate. NEP was the first one to respond with an actual numbered estimate, quoted 150$ for a new seal/wax. Landlord gave the green light. Came on time, right on the dot. (I suck at time management so Im always impressed by that) Greeted Eugene at the door and TOOK his SHOES off. I don't know if it's the Asian culture or maybe also I assumed with plumbing it's gonna be messy anyways, but that's a first golden star in my book; basically it's super respectful. Not necessary but I noticed. I think it's probably more common than I think, but I'm pretty squirrel about things and easily impressed. Took a look around and said it's probably a wax ring which is super common but he'll have to check. I mentioned as I was cleaned around the toilet, that I noticed the hose was leaking but I wasn't sure and it was my bad for not mentioning it earlier. Eugene was basically, hey no problem. I was just sort keeping busy with chores and he'd come an update me; wax seal was all bad and hes installing a new new nice one, the hose's rubber inner seal was all gone hence needed replacement, and the flange was OK but recommended getting it replaced in like 6 months. He knew I was renting and my landlord liked to keep costs at a minimum so he was realistic about it. All in all, Eugene was experienced, quick, cordial, friendly, and super reasonable with costs! I was worried with the price I could risk getting a poor job, but he said I have a 6 month warranty on the job if needed. will use again 10/10 read more

He was quick to point out that the toilet we ordered wouldn't fit in the space we had , he was upfront about it that maintenance would be tricky even if the toilet fits as there was no gap between toilet and the counter shelf. Why does any household issue happen in the evening and usually right before a wknd? It is the most frustrating thing! Kitchen sink faucet just stopped working and we tried the vinegar approach to clear any limescale. No dice. We put out an estimate request via Yelp and Eugene responded immediately! He quoted me the labor as I would provide the material and had an opening that same afternoon. He arrived timely and finished the work in about an hour. He took his shoes off (without even requesting it). He was clean and very professional. Our old faucet was rusting and it took some elbow grease for him to remove it and he did it without any qualms.
