Located outside Pittsburgh in the suburb, this place is a rock star. Of course you don't come here for the ambience or the lively surroundings but you come for some fantastic food. Naan was so awesome. Soft, thin, buttery, crispy...it was unlike the chewy junky version they make in most so called Indian restaurants. Dumplings were great. We asked a couple of items prepared mild for kids. That was executed with perfection. Food was prepared fresh. They took sometime...and it felt fresh. Moreover, it wasn't greasy like food at most "Indian" restaurants. We ordered chow meen, fish Kabob, okra curry, chicken soup. Every item was fantastic. We didn't order typical Indian food on the menu. So I can't comment on that. We did stick with mostly Nepali variations. All in all, great food. I spoke to the Nepali guy at the counter. He told me mostly he gets a lot of local customers (non Indian origin) and a few Indian folks who pass by (probably tourists like us who visited Pittsburgh). My family and I went here on their very first day of officially being open for business. For being their first day, they did a great job. Even though they were just getting their feet wet, and things were a little slower than they'd probably hope, they did a fantastic job. The "+'s": Everything we ate was ridiculously good. We tried the garlic naan, the mango chicken, the chicken curry, chicken fried rice, and the tandoori chicken. All were phenomenal, with extra-extra special shout out to the mango chicken. The "-'s": The portion size was a little small for the price. While the food was excellent, the "amount" for a few of the items was a little small compared to their prices. This was especially true with the order of naan that we received, the tandoori chicken and it's lack of anything coming with it, and a few of the other dishes. It was definitely authentic, full of flavor, and the servers were very polite. We will definitely go again sometime, and I look forward to updating my review at that time. read more

My family and I have been here 2 times so far and this place hasn't disappointed. We've enjoyed everything so far, especially the samosas. The flavors are authentic, the staff is friendly, and the establishment is clean. One thing I do recommend is that if you're not "big" on spice, keep it at a medium heat level. Do not let the location of size turn you off. This is some of the best Indian and Indo-Asian food I have had and this includes high concentration areas like NJ, CA, etc. The Chili Chicken was amazing and something you could only get in a place like this. This is definitely my new favorite place and hidden gem in the Elizabeth, Rostraver area. Even if you don't think you like Indian food the menu is so diverse I'm sure you can find something familiar to get you started. Plus the staff is so nice and helpful that they will walk you through the menu and make sure you find something that you'll enjoy. If you are a fan of Indian cuisine you definitely won't be disappointed. This is some of the best that I've had anywhere. And lastly I love the online ordering and fast and easy pick up. read more

Amount of Paneer was ok but food taste was different. The Gravy had a new taste that I have never had for any Indian food. Not sure if many people have ever had this taste. No condiments provided with the entree. read more

We love this spot! The food is absolutely delicious and they have consistently delivered each time we order. I'm very happy to have this local place near us and I'm obsessed with their chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala. The food is so good I want to eat it every day and it's a struggle not to give in I highly recommend this spot to all of my friends when they're in an Indian food mood. I've gone twice now. The first time I did take out. I got the Chatpate which was a first for me. It was amazingly good. I think I need to get it every time now :) I got the Chicken Makahani medium which was very, very tasty (the 2nd time I got it spicy. I prefer it medium. It wasn't too spicy, but the spice got in the way of the flavor). I had the Bhindi Masala which was excellent. It was different than I was used to getting (dry vs wet) but oh so tasty. The 2nd time we got the Jhol Momo which is dumplings in a soup. We shared it around (luckily the soup was fairly thick). They were amazing. Just the right level of spice (medium) and freaking tasty. We also had the Pork Bhuttan which was very flavorful. We ordered it spicy, but we felt it didn't hit the level of spice we were looking for. They may be afraid of scaring people off *grins*. The Aloo Gobi was also very tasty. We had plain naan both times and it was just the right level of moist and crispy. So good. We had papadam with the two sauces at the restaurant and it was fabulous. I wasn't sure what to expect. But I was very happy with all of our food. We got curry lamb, chicken tikka masala, tandoori shrimp, steamed mo mo, garlic naan and mango lassi. Everything was excellent. And the service was very polite and accommodating. Helping my dad with his coat, realizing that we needed some extra space and bringing another small table over. They need a bit of decorating but the food and service is on point. read more

I ate my first Indian food, murgh tikka, at a restaurant, Bombay something, in New York in 1979. Since then I've eaten Indian at restaurants in NYC, in London, and around Washington, DC at place that have pictures of presidents on their walls. This place is equal to or better than any of them. A broad menu that includes some "Chinese" offerings, e.g. chop suey, which, I'm told is a sign of authenticity. Generous portions. The fact this place is located in a nondescript strip mall in western Pennsylvania is kind of a miracle. Run, don't walk to this place. read more

Fantastic food! Many options for vegetarians and vegans. We just happened upon this place during a road trip. A truly unexpected gem!

I badly wanted to love this place. The cooking is authentic and scratch. Some dishes are very good. But, quality is inconsistent. Tandoori was dry and nothing special especially for the extra long wait. I've gotten the Chana Masala three times in a row and each time the beans have been extremely undercooked as in still hard. The dumplings are sometimes good, other times dried out. My take out orders are never ready on time; in fact they routinely are ready a half hour to 45 minutes late. I'll happily wait for good food, but the order is rarely done 100% right. I generally spend $75-$100 when I order and expect it to be hot, fresh, and properly prepared and packed. So far they've never managed all four qualities at the same time. Also, when I order takeout mango lassis, more than once half a cup has ended up spilled in the bag because they don't have any form of drink carrier. I've gotten takeout with missing items twice. Heat level is also inconsistent. At first a 4 was really hot, now a 3 is barely spicy? Butter chicken is great most of the time unless it's at the end of the night, whereas it tasted and looked like it had been on a burner all day. Give them a try but buyer beware. read more

Stopped here for lunch on the way back into PGH from a road trip. Heck yeah. We had the lamb stew and a fried paneer and garlic naan. The paneer was solid, the lamb stew and naan were great. We saw some tandoori platters come out for another table that looked remarkable, might have to make a special trip to give them a go. Prices are very reasonable, service is quick and pleasant. The location is a little weird (strip mall off of a highway), but don't be dissuaded. Lasso that lassi. read more
