After a long day of holiday shopping we decided to land here for a quick meal. Not knowing what to expect but expecting the worst these days, sky high prices, terrible services for mediocre offerings. Twas not entirely the case. This is the "noodle bar" next to the glammed up pretty big sister next door-"the seafood restaurant." Tho was told by the wait staff, they shared the same kitchen and extensive menu. What the? We had the pictured dishes. They were fairly standard Canto-styled noodle/congee type of dishes. The wonton noodle in laksa stood out. Delish and unique. They do have a very complex noodle offering with variety of soup baes. Verdict-although pricing wise it is the going rate-"high" but the dishes were unexpectedly above mediocrity. Ok services. Would come again.

We have been finding places with good AC to eat during this heat wave. I am happy to say their AC is good and the place isn't too crowded with people. Love it! We ordered beef noodle stir fry and their chicken and fries combo. Their beef noodle is pretty good. It was quite satisfying. My chicken wings were juicy and the fries are crunchy and well seasoned. They take credit card which is a plus considering the Boss doesn't take it.

Pretty decent spot for Chinese food inside Station Square. We got a spot right away and service was decent. We ordered a few dishes to share between 4 people: eggplant casserole, deep fried tofu, chicken curry and fried kidney and liver with onion. My favorite was the eggplant casserole. White rice was charged separately. On the pricier side. Be sure to bring cash or debit card because they have a credit card fee.

Overpriced and poor quality fish dish - no actual fish meat, just byproduct and waste.

A Pleasant Surprise in a New City…read more While aimlessly wandering through a new city, I stumbled upon this spot and figured, "Why not?" With only a handful of patrons inside, my skepticism was high, but the visit turned out to be a positive one. I started with a light crisp draft beer that hit the spot perfectly. For food, I only took appetizers...the roasted brussels sprouts and chicken wings. Both are what you would expect from typical bar fare - tasty, well-prepared and satisfying without blowing you away. Nothing extraordinary, but nothing disappointing either. The vibe is ideal for catching up with friends. The front outdoor patio sits right along side a busy street, yet the noise level stayed comfortable enough for easy conversation. It felt a bit quiet during my Monday afternoon visit on a public holiday, but I can easily see it being a lively and fun hangout on a weekend. Overall, this was a decent spot and a good find. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.

The second time around wings were better than the first ie my first review! They were crispy, still juicy inside and sauced real well. I've also had their smash burger which has been my favourite meal so far, it's absolutely delicious!! The double patty double cheese with pickles and onions is like a gourmet fast food burger - it has everything you need! It comes with choice of curly fries or regular fries or a salad, always get the curlies they're really good! I also love their Cesars, always really tasty which I find can be hard to nail at restaurants - this one is really good! Service is good, sometimes a touch slow if it's a busy night but always super friendly. The Saturday night crowd is always buzzing because of trivia and it's a fun time all around. We will be back plenty!

Gaslight is a strong accusation, but fitting when the host decides to deny your reality, despite given factual proof. I originally made a reservation for 10:30 PM, then moved it to 10:45 PM so that our group could make it on time. My group arrived at 10:44 PM, but the host had to assist a group ahead of us. By the time they finished seating that group, it was 10:47 PM. At that point, the host told us that we "arrived at 10:47" and that they would no longer be able to seat us for a meal because the kitchen was closing. The host completely disregarded the fact that we had arrived before 10:45 and claimed there was nothing they could do. We then asked to speak to the manager, Seerat Dhanoa. She provided conflicting information, which made it quite obvious that they were trying to justify closing the kitchen earlier for convenience on a long weekend. She gave the following explanations: "Ever since COVID, it hasn't been that busy, so we decided to keep the kitchen closed earlier at 11:00 PM." This does not make sense. If we had been seated between 10:47 and 10:53, we would have been able to place our orders before 11:00 PM. Instead, they chose to prolong the argument until 11:00 PM, effectively wasting 15 minutes of our time. She said she tried calling to inform us and left a voicemail stating that if we were not there by 10:45 PM, they would not take our order and would close the kitchen. This allows zero leniency, even if customers are 1-2 minutes late. The call was made around 10:35-10:38 PM, when I was driving to the location and unable to answer. Nowhere on their website or reservation system does it state that a 10:45 PM reservation would result in being denied food before 11:00 PM. I showed her time-stamped messages from all group members confirming arrival at 10:44 PM. This was essentially ignored. At that point, it felt like she was just trying to cover for her team so they could close early. The only response was an apology and an offer for free drinks. In conclusion, the staff at this location deny clear facts and attempt to shift the situation onto the customer to justify poor service, showing no courtesy or accountability. I included photos that show - arrival time - reservation time - Calls made from the manager's phone "Seerat Dhanoa" even before my reservation time. (Also, expecting me to pick up a call while driving, especially when it wasn't identified under the business or company name, is quite unprofessional.) If management decided to close the kitchen early, they should have been upfront about it. Instead, the way this situation was handled is something future customers should be aware of. Side note for Vancouver residents: I typically bring my business to higher-end establishments in Vancouver known for strong service, but for my birthday I wanted something more relaxed and fun. I wasn't expecting that same level -- just basic service, which made this disappointing.

My party was there with 11 people. The service by the staff was wonderful from taking our drink and food orders, recommending dishes with dietary restrictions. We refueled to continue to get high scores in the arcade! :)

Food: 1/3 Service: 1/1…read moreAmbience: 1/1 For me, Time & Place is 3/5 - the waitress was attentive and the ambience was deifnitely what you would expect from a hotel restaurant - kinda quiet and cozy, with tv showing sports if you're dining alone and need entertainment - however let's talk about the food and drinks. For drinks we ordered Sangria, and it had the saddest amount of fruit in it I've ever seen. Other restaurants I've ordered Sangria in have a pitcher or container with lots of fruit to give it flavour. At Time & Place there were 3 super small pieces of strawberry floating around in the drink, and it didn't even taste like Sangria, just wine. For a place that is more upscale (read: more expensive) that is extremely shameful that they are skimping on fruit for their Sangrias like this. As for food - personally I found it to be super bland. Good thing the table came with salt and pepper so I could season my own food, which I will say that after seasoning it myself (a lot) it was actually quite delicious. I had the Miso & Spiced Honey Glazed Black Cod and the fish and vegetables were cooked well. Overall I enjoyed my dish BUT only after seasining it a ton myself, which in a relatively upscale restaursnt such as this I really shouldn't have to. So overall, 3/5. It wasn't terrible, but to be honest I think there are better options in the area for food that I don't need to season myself to enjoy.

Its tucked away on the 2nd floor and has a nice quiet ambience, not too loud that you can't hear your partner talking so its a great spot for date night. Our server was very friendly and efficient with the food service and she came by a few times to top up waters. Since it was happy hour, we also decided to try their truffle fries and let me tell you..... I don't even like fries, and I LOVED these fries! I don't know if its the batter or how they did it, but they were super crispy, not soggy, flavourful, and the truffle dip was delicious as well. 12/10 for the fries alone! For my 3 course menu, I chose the mussels (excellent, 5/5) beef short rib (tender, 5/5) and key lime pie (crust was a bit soggy, 4/5). Overall the portion sizes were very generous and the food was served at a reasonable pace. I would return for the fries alone! Presentation was beautiful. Happy to have found a new spot for happy hour or a date night :)
