Plus, his prices are fair and honest -- and he never tries to up-sell you. I recently worked with Dustin to pre-plan my mom's final wishes. She's 88-yrs-old and isn't planning on leaving this world anytime soon... but she's a planner! So when mom told me she didn't want to burden her family with determining (and having to pay for) her final arrangements after she passes, I gave Dustin a call to set up a meeting. Dustin was awesome! On his suggestion, we met at mom's home to discuss options and complete the paperwork. This was a nice option vs. going to the Funeral Home, which might've been a little more "jarring" or disturbing to mom. Dustin spent time getting to know mom before we got down to the business at hand, and by the time we were through, mom felt like she'd made a new friend. She now has the peace-of-mind that her daughters won't have an additional burden placed on them after her passing. As for me, I'm relieved that mom's wishes are now officially documented which will undoubtedly cause less tension between me and my siblings when dealing with mom's final arrangements -- there can be no argument about what her final wishes were, as they are well documented and pre-paid for at a time when she was of sound mind and body. Oh... almost forgot the best part: because of mom's pre-planning, today's cremation rates apply no matter how much those costs may go up between now and the time she eventually leaves this world. That provides additional peace of mind for all involved. I learned that companies that only do cremation are much less expensive than companies that offer both cremation and burial (the savings was several thousand dollars). I was also given the opportunity to gather photos, letters and mementos and have them included with my loved one. When delivering the package a few days later, I missed the office closing by 15 minutes. I called the answering service and was pretty distraught. Even though it was 'just an answering service', they told me not to worry, hold the line and they would figure something out. Within 10 minutes Denise came back to the office and collected the package. I was so relieved and impressed with her care and concern. Collecting the cremains and death certificates was yet another time to connect with her warmth, care, and wishes for my wellbeing. Cannot recommend this service, location, and Denise any higher.

I do bring my own scissors and trim around the headstones, but the grounds are mowed and I see nothing wrong when I come to switch out my loved ones flowers. Driving through even as a teen visiting here, I thought it was beautiful cemetery. Estate planning is never a fun topic, but a necessary one. I dropped by the office last week with some questions and I had. Charles was able to assist Jolene and Fred who went above and beyond to help me. Jolene was the sweetest and she was able to address every concern I had. I made an appointment with Jolene to come back next month, so I can move forward with my plot selection and final details. I'll feel better once I've completed all of my estate planning, so my children aren't burdened after we're gone. The prices are a bit higher for plots than our Mother of Sorrow down the road, but I want to be closer to my family. Not a dig at Our Mother of Sorrows, but I was there last week to visit a cousin that was recently buried and our aunt who passed in 2022. I was mortified to see a pile of headstones in the sandy area below of the garden where our aunt is buried. I have never seen this in the past 20 years at Mountain View Cemetery. I have read some horrid reviews for this cemetery, but that isn't my family's experience here or even close. I have personally dealt with Charles for my last two family funerals and he made it a breeze, so I could return to my grief. Thank you Jolene, Fred and Charles. I'll see you guys next month.
