This was an excellent bakery! They had a huge variety of items- we got a blueberry danish, apple turnover, guava turnover, and jam cookie. Everything was very good, fresh, and at a great price. This is my favorite bakery to visit hands-down. Great pricing, great staff, always fresh breads and pastries. When I worked in Westchester, I would stop here every Wednesday to get a dessert and bagels or Kaiser rolls. Haven't been down in a while, but was close enough today to stop in. They have some of the best cheesecake in New York with or without toppings. I don't know what the current prove is, but the last time I bought it the price was eight dollars for a whole cheesecake. I discover this bakery by accident, just to later find out they are Yuge! Like they have a tractor trailer with their name on it!!! The variety is great they have a mix of Italian, American and Spanish baked goods. The breads smell amazing, biscottis are delicious. Cannolis, svoiatella (spelling) lobster tails and pignoli nut cookies are authentic and delicious. I often buy the coffee cake, marble cake to have in hand. My first visit at this bakery on Mother's Day and it was not a great experience. I purchased only 2 pieces of pastries but when I opened the box outside 1 was the wrong one. Went back inside and simply explained they gave me the wrong and can I please have the one I want. The young man was very rude, corrected me 3 times that I called the pastry by the wrong name, he said I will give you the correct one but it's more money but I won't charge you an proceeded to throw out the wrong one. I never once said I didn't want to pay the difference so not sure why he couldn't say I am sorry for the error let me give you the correct one and please also keep the wrong one. This place had good reviews and wanted to check it out. When I arrived there was a line but it went quick so that was not too bad. Please keep in mind that they only take cash so bring cash with you and they do have an ATM available. Staff were nice and helpful. Came here for the specifically recommended Tres Leche cake. First look at the building and I couldn't believe the size. It's like this huge gray factory and that's where everything is made, I guess in mass production. The Tres Leche came in a little cup. It was just good I'll say; not bad but nothing to ride home about. It wasn't what real Tres Leche is supposed to be. First of all I hate when peaches are added to this dessert. The "moist" cake part was just regular yellow bakery cake- not the kind of traditional cake that this dessert is normally made with. I will say it was soooooooo cheap. $4.30 bought us the cake cup and my bf got this small little raspberry tart. When deciding on where to pick up a cake for a member of my staff's birthday, one of my colleagues suggested Neri's both for the quality of their baked goods and the prices. Port Chester isn't too far from where I work so we hopped in the car and off we went. Located right off Westchester Ave in a mostly commercial/industrial part of the town, Neri's is mainly a wholesale bakery with a small retail space the public can come in and purchase goods from. It's easy to miss Neri's if you don't know where you're going - the retail shop is located on the first floor of what looks like a warehouse or factory, and the larger than normal parking lot doesn't necessarily scream bakery. However, upon entering you really get the full idea of what Neri's offers. Neri's definitely has that Italian bakery feel, there's yards of display cases containing cakes, cookies, and such as well as a decent amount of baked goods in to-go containers you can just grab. Additionally, they bake bread and have a separate section for special orders. We decided to get a cheesecake - traditional New York style topped with strawberries. At $20, the price was right. The cake was great - the consistency was slightly softer/smoother than you would think, but the flavors were on point and the strawberries tasted fresh. Service was good - there's definitely a system they have in place and the sales floor is very organized with queue signs directing you where to go. Keep in mind they only take cash - and even at that, they don't accept pennies. Overall, my interest is piqued - I would definitely return to explore more of their baked goods. read more

Neri's is all the craze in Port Chester. Location can be a bit confusing as Neri's is right in the middle of Port Chester's semi-industrial section. No cronuts, here but when you step inside, all you see is a well-stocked, old-school Italian bakery, full of trays upon trays of Sweets, Lobster Tails, Whole Cakes, Breads- you name it, it's probably there. My coworkers rave about Neri's delicious and well-made goodies, even parents have been on board to present teachers with thank you gifts. So much so, I wanted to be all up in the mix too!
