We all know taking the time to practice and train each day can be tough- which was honestly what my husband and I struggled with most- but Stu holds you accountable. He consistently follows up to see what's working and what needs improvement. Each session, he challenges both you and your dog in real-life scenarios (trains, sirens, bells, whistles, grooming tools, skateboarders, kids baseball/football games, strollers, men with hats, kids with backpacks- YOU NAME IT!) which has made all the difference. He also brings his own dog to training sessions from day one--something we'd never experienced before. Because Nova was extremely reactive to other dogs, having a calm, well-trained dog present right off the bat was crucial. It allowed her to learn how to stay composed and focused in a controlled environment, and the progress we saw from this alone was incredible. In addition to having his dog present in every session, he also offers group classes most Sundays. This gives us the chance to work in close proximity to multiple dogs and put our training into real practice. This consistent exposure has been essential for Nova's progress--and is truly an opportunity you won't find elsewhere. Stu doesn't rely on treat training like so many others. He focuses on helping you build respect with your dog, which truly is the only way to achieve long-lasting results. The transformation we've seen is unbelievable. Before working with Stu, my confidence walking our high-energy German Shepherd was shaky at best. The second another dog came into sight, panic kicked in. I had been a loyal customer at Complete Dog for a while and always trusted them with my dog. The day after her appointment, I noticed a cut and called the groomer right away to ask what happened. They denied any responsibility and showed no concern. I took her to the vet, and when they saw the cut, they told us to bring her in almost immediately because they were worried it could be infected. After examining her, they said it likely could've happened at the groomer. The owner refunded the vet bill--but called it a "courtesy" and still denied anything happened under their care. They also refused to refund the grooming, saying they should still be paid because the haircut was "completed." My dog was hurt, and all they seemed to care about was getting paid. The way I was treated as a customer was cold, rude, and completely unprofessional. This was an incredibly upsetting experience, and I would never want another pet owner or pet to go through what we did. Please think twice before taking your dog to Complete Dog.

But it has not improved its business hours, and has in fact reduced its accessibility to weekdays only. Closed on Saturdays now, in addition to Sundays. Oh, that's good for enticing new customers! And its prices have increased significantly. Daycamp used to be $25/day. Just before this location closed in 2021, it went to $30/day. Now it's $35/day. My GSD absolutely loved this kennel but given the revised business days and pricing, she'll not be going back soon - probably never.
