I have heard horror stories about 2-4 month wait times for places like from Micro Center so I did a few google searches to find a computer repair shop. I found Sam's Computer Solutions and noticed it had over 100+ 5 Star Google reviews so I gave the shop a call and described my issue. He had flexible and fast availability and I was able to schedule an appointment to drop off my PC within two hours of making the call (the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend). The gentleman who greeted me was friendly, reassuring, and professional. He clearly outlined what options I had, what the price points for each option was, if and how each option would or would not change functionality, and asked which option I'd prefer! He made sure I was comfortable with the pricing before moving forward. It sounded good so I left my PC and he assumed me it was in good hands. I got a text the following Monday morning (A holiday no less) saying my PC was ready to be picked up. The repair cost was exactly the lowest price he had quoted. I made an appointment to pick it up later that afternoon. Upon arrival he described everything he did to fix it (installation of new component, where he wound the additional length of wire if I wish to change the placement of the part, and let me know he dusted everything which I appreciate). I just got home and plugged in my PC and the hardware he installed worked perfectly! I am extremely satisfied with how Sam's Computer Solutions handled me every step of the way from initial phone call to pickup. I can confidently say if you are like me and are not the most tech savvy person, need a computer repair and wish to support a local business I cannot recommend you make use of this service enough! :)

I had it back in there in a couple days because it seemed to be overheating. They put in some thermal gel to help. I don't think it did. Cut to two years later that same drive has now blown up, and my screen has decided to die. I took it to Gem City over in The Greene and they were way more experienced with iMacs, and charged me $100 to replace the screen and reinstall the new HD, which replaced under warranty. And fix the tiny ribbon cable that had gotten all jacked up inside that... controlled thermal stuff and screen temperature or something. So All my problems, were probably from this one cable DNA bungled and possibly caused the screen and HD to die due to heat. These guys I think will do great on PCs, but take your macs elsewhere.

Cant talk about PC's…read moreHad a water spill on my laptop - Took to apple store they said 1000$ standard water fill repair - they swap out everything The laptop starts - display is done Day1 - Took my laptop for inspection - The guy over the counter said they ll inspect and let me know with in 2 hrs All day passed I dint get a call Day2 - I called back - they said he is working on it Got a call back from them saying they only need to change display and i have to come and pay for it  as they have to order it - sounded fair enough Day3 - I go to the store - that guy told me he thinks its only the display that is wrong and everything looks good - so i trusted him - i paid 570$ He said I would get my laptop in 5 days Day8 - I call them to see I the repairing is done the guy over the call tells me the parts or not in yer call back after 2 days Day10 - The parts are there yet call back after 3 more days Day 13 - Parts have arrived they fix it soon Day 14 - I call them up to see if its done they say - theyll start working on it Got a call in the eve - saying they put the new display and it still doesnt work and they have to change the logic board will cost me 800 more I was shocked - i could have gone to apple store for 1000 so I went to the store - they are still working on my laptop and said its still not working I asked for the display to returned and if I can get my money back -  he says he put the new display and it cant be returned now - wow I mean wow I felt like i just robbed he says he can order a refurbished logic board on ebay and want me to pay 450$ more for it. and he says he might have to change my keyboard and SSD too. I realized I had enough with these guys - I took mine to apple store and they told me its not the display that was wrong it was the logic board all along. Now I just lost 570$ for a display which was not bad on the first place. Trust me guys go to apple store or buy a used one for the repair cost in ebay - Pruthvi Reddy
