great products but AWFUL customer service. The counter rep made it non verbally clear to me that I was interrupting whatever else he was wanting to do. I requested a car fob battery replacement and a new key to be cut and he silently did so. Second key works great but when first usifob about 2 hours later it didn't work. Returned back to store and explained what was happening and was told by the same rep as before "what do you want me to do about it?". uhh, fix it! It was working with old battery at first visit (just bought the used car and wanted to start ownership with new fob battery). He said nothing, took the fob to back room and about a minute later came out and said he had used the wrond battery the first time. And that was that. I was going to be nice & use a local business. I have purchased more than six car batteries & batteries for my fobs. ( which he installed free for all money I have spent there).I could have gotten two batteries at AMAZON for $4.32. This was what he charged for a two minute install.He was rude to me & also insulted my friend I brought in! He charged $20.28 for a two minute install plus.Maybe you shouldn't ask people "Can't you see?"when you pointed to where something is Larry! Avoid abuse & use Amazon! read more

My experience with Batteries Plus My key fob assembly was not working so I ordered one from Chris Long Hair Manager when I was in the store to purchase a battery for my phone handset. Chris Long Hair Manager said he would contact me when the assembly came in, and I could come to the store, and it would take only 5 to 10 minutes to cut the new key, check for fitment, and if needed make any adjustment. As a point of information, at the time I placed the order with Chris Long Hair Manager, I mentioned that because of my recent foot surgery, I would not be able to stand for a long period, and that there were no chairs in the store for me to sit down and take the pressure off my feet. Chris Long Hair Manager mumbles his words, which I cannot understand. When he talks it sounds like he has a mouth full of food. You have to do your best to interpret it, take keywords and try and put together what spews from his mouth. After a few days of waiting, I was notified my key fob was in. I arrived at Batteries Plus store # 140, the store that you absolutely do not want to patronize when it comes to Chris Long Hair Manager and his White Ponytail Crony to cut and program key fob assemblies. I entered the store and proceeded to the sales counter. White Pony Tail Crony was waiting on a customer. Chris Long Hair Manager asked if he could help me. I replied "Yes, I'm here for the key fob I ordered, and to have it cut and programmed." Chris Long Hair Manager said, "I need your old key FOB assembly to cut the new one to match." I handed him the key. Chris Long Hair Manager then went to the back room. At that point, I checked the time because I had an appointment. I set arrival time to get the key fob service and still make my appointment. I stood there waiting, and my feet started hurting. I glanced at the time. I had been there 15 minutes, five minutes more than it was supposed to take for the whole transaction. I stated to Chris Long Hair Manager "This key does not fit and work right and you know it- try it again." Chris Long Hair Manager got into the car and tried to insert the key again, push, push, push.... - after fumbling around, and using brute force, the key started the car. Chris Long Hair Manager tried to turn the new key to off and then removed the key. That took a degree of force to remove the key. Chris Long Hair Manager, at this point, tells me to come in and fill out paperwork, and, 'You are on your way' I said no, no, no, I'm going to try the new key myself. I got into my car and tried to insert the new key into the ignition switch. The key had high resistance when I tried to insert it, dragging and dragging but finally went in. I said, "This is not how a new key acts." With all that resistance I then tried to turn the key to start the car. It had so much resistance it would surely damage the inside of the ignition switch workings. I turned to Chris Long Hair Manager and said "This is totally unacceptable, this is a joke!!" Chris Long Hair Manager was standing there, the look projecting from his face made me realize that this person does not remotely know how to cut a key. Chris Long Hair Manager then said "Come inside." My feet were done and becoming numb. Chris Long Hair Manager turned and started walking toward the store, with me a couple of steps behind him. I wrestled up just enough steps to make it back into the store. As we entered the store, Chris Longhair Manager, and I were arguing about the key not working, and that he was going to file the key down, and it would be fine. Now there were no customers in the store, just me and Chris Long Hair Manager, and White Ponytail Crony. I stated, "This is a joke, this key doesn't work and you know it". Chris Long Hair Manager said, "No problem, just give me the key and I'll file it a little and it will be fine." Chris Long Hair Manager seemed out of breath and walked slowly into the back room. Oh man, file, file, file, White Ponytail Crony says to me "It will be fine" I replied, "Say what?" White Ponytail Crony said "All keys have to wear in. Chris Longhair Manager emerges from the back room with perspiration on his forehead, walks up to the counter, and takes a stance right next to White Ponytail Crony-Chris Longhair Manager hands me the new key fob and says, "You are good to go." I replied, "I am not good to go, I'm leaving here with a $200.00 plus item that doesn't work because it was not cut correctly by you." Both Chris Longhair Manager and White Ponytail Crony had moved so close together that you could not put your hand between their elbows. I left the store with both of them still standing elbow to elbow, and smiling smugly at me. You could not put your hand between their elbows. I presently have filed a complaint with Batteries Plus customer service- I will post what happens with that complaint. For Google Reviews, I have noticed that all responses that are notated by the owner, seem pre-generated and non-specific to the actual review. read more

If I could give a negative review I would. Zero help or common sense in this store. Bought a new battery for my bike and right away won't start. Been on the tender for a week and rode my bike to school. Won't start and have to get jumped. Try another batter in it to see and it fires right up. Ask to get a replacement and told me to buy a new battery. Told me it was my bike and that I left a headlight on. Zero help do not shop here. Gladly put $160 for a battery and now have to go get another one. read more

They recycled old florescent bulb and I bought a lifetime Battery for my watch - second time I bought batteries there and this way If there is a third time I replace watch battery I won't have to pay for it - great service read more

I went in one day to have my truck battery checked and meet up with Kevin the store manager. We discussed the issue and was able to find the best battery and deal for me. Kevin is a stand up guy that will bend over backwards for you. I was just in today with an issue with my hole house generator battery and with no questions asked Kevin was able to take care of the problem and get me on my way fast and easy and all this was done while Kevin was feeling very under the weather.
