We were in a bad situation and just asked them to get it done. The techs spent 3 hours (generous) cleaning up the residual and cutting a hole in the ceiling. We had a dehumidifier for 2 days. Total charge $1800. 3 hours of work and say 3 hours of associated time means they charge me $300/hour for the picture below. Make your own conclusions. Update: the owner did reduce the invoice 20% but I still feel this isn't justified for the amount of work done. The invoice had 'After Hours' on basically every line item despite the work being complete during normal business hours. Really all the techs did was cut a 2x4 hole in my ceiling and clean up. There was very little water remediation required.

After my insurance company caused complications that led to First Call terminating the job which I understood, I received an invoice in May of last year. I paid that balance in full with two separate checks within two weeks. I have the receipts, the copies of the checks, and the bank statements showing exactly when First Call cashed them. After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional. Do better, not just for your customers, but for the reputation of the guys out there doing the actual work.

Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. That was fine, they scheduled quickly and sent confirmations. The guy who came seemed severely disinterested, he didn't stay for longer than 15-20 minutes. He didn't really want to answer many questions and left in a hurry. He asked for the house plans. So, we went from being able to quote via remotely to a house visit to house plans. That quote has still not come yet...that was maybe 3 weeks ago. Anyways, we went ahead and booked our remediation already with another company that was quite lovely to deal with.
