I really liked the lavender lemonade one and bought a 32 oz bottle. I was researching local kombucha makers with a storefront and Neu Kombucha was the only business that came up. As it is a small business, there is usually only one person working the front counter. Sometimes there is a wait and I'll just go to another store and come back a little later when the line has shortened. Most of the time there is no wait at all. I've tried the sparkling and still water, but my favorite is the kombucha. At first, I would sample different flavors by buying a 12 oz. cup. Soon after I bought a 16 oz. bottle that I can return to be refilled for $3. I recommend the Cardamom Cream, Blueberry Mint, and Lavender Lemonade flavors. The store also sells vegan snacks. I like Vegan Rob's Turmeric Crisps and Nakee Butter. Neu Kombucha's store has become the main reason why I have started visiting Downtown Farmington more often. I like the idea of supporting a local small business rather than buying kombucha at a grocery store. read more

Yeah!!!! I love this place! Our WW class out it on the list of things to try, especially if trying to replace the cocktail/wine habit with something healthier and low cal and to my total surprise, they were open on Easter Sunday! (We had brunch across the street at Brown Dog and walked over). The man behind the counter told me they bottle on Sundays. I bought one of each on tap and so far, my favorite is the lavender lemonade. (40 calories for 16 ounces). Excited for the Coacoa Cola today! This kombucha is very fresh and tastes much different than what you find at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. (I'm not a fan of those). And they encourage recycling the bottles by giving a discount t on refills. There's less carbonation than in the stores big brands which makes it smoother and easier to drink.. closer to a cocktail feel than soda pop. They are a little hidden off Grand River... but they do have parking if you turn into the little lot. read more

Search no further because no other kombucha comes close to the taste and service that I get here! I've been supporting this owner for years and love her creative ideas in kombucha flavors. Don't waste your money on stuff like Kevita because Neu's kombucha goes down so smooth. There is a rotating tap with new flavors like rhubarb, vanilla chai, ginger mint, fall spice and more each week. In the summer they do booch floats with icecream and it's incredible. I love the owner as well she always makes our experience great every single time we go and visit. She even gave us a Christmas card one year and she is through and through our booch lady for life! read more

This is a small storefront in downtown Farmington. There is a small sign on Grand River to help you find it. It's also easy to find if you're walking around. The Kombucha is fresh and delicious with a variety of rotating flavors and some that are always available. I really like the lavender lemonade. Meh.... I was with a friend who had an expired groupon and wanted to check this place out since we were in downtown Farmington. The place is small, with a good concept but I could not help but be irritated with our visit. For starters, there is a tasting idea- which I absolutely love, it affords patrons the opportunity to sample the product before buying it. In our case, there were two individuals that were sampling every single flavor and conversing with the lady behind the counter. While, I would not normally have a problem with this, it was almost 30 minutes later before they moved away purchasing two bottles. Based on our experience, I would suggest keeping the concept but keep in mind that people dont want to wait that long to purchase bottles for what is a rapidly growing concept. When it was our turn at the counter, we were told that groupons could not be used at all (not even the value paid for the groupon, which is clearly stated on the groupon itself). The lady was reluctant to allow us to sample anything before buying. Her approach was very off putting, so we ended up leaving without a sample or a purchase. Maybe the company had a negative experience with groupon, I can get that but the frustration was transferred to us. My friend was really bummed out after our visit, so I lent her some of our brewing equipment so she can make her own. We will not return. read more

I am a big fan of Neu Kombucha. My favorite flavors out of the regular product line are Chaga Cola or Cranberry (seasonal) but what I really like is visiting for their rotating flavors - they have a tap at the shop where they cycle through new varieties they create like Pomegranate Grape Cherry or Mint Limeade and you can bring in your old Neu bottles to be refilled (which is $1 less than buying a bottle). They are sometimes out at Eastern Market and Royal Ark Famers Market and they typically post what what's available on their IG, so check there to see what's on tap where. If I can get to the shop I usually try to pick up a 6-pack, and Jennie, Doug and Julius always make me feel welcome. read more

Ok I was hesitant at first. My daughter is obsessed with kombucha and wanted to try this local company. I'm hooked. The flavors are absolutely amazing. Prior to this, I had not been able to find a pop replacement because I hate tonic water drinks. Now I can give up pop and drink this. I've tried the Lavendar flavors, the cola flavors, and they even have a Dr. Pepper flavor. It's a tiny business that is almost lost in downtown Farmington. What a hidden gem! read more

It's just such good stuff. Tasty, healthy, not excessively sugary. Unique but not off-putting flavors. Local with nice quality bottles and attractive labeling. The pineapple ginger is one of my favorites, my guy loves the chaga cola. Lavander lemonade is always a good bet, too. The only buch I drink. After trying NEU brand I ditched that other national brand cold. This is the best kombucha. Best flavors. They even have specials each week & kombucha floats during the hotter months with sorbet & vegan ice cream ((heaven)). They are the coolest most down to earth people. This was my only second time trying kombucha so I had some questions and the girl behind the counter was very helpful. She let me taste before I bought it, which was nice. I like how they recycle the bottles by allowing you to bring them back for a refill at a reduced price. I've been to juice places where they don't recycle the glass bottles.
