Service - friendly. Ambiance - mid century nostalgic diner. Apparently also featured in a Hallmark movie along with the historic 1800's town. Old building, single bathroom and you walk by the freezer and dishwasher to get there. Food - good. My crepes were light and not overly sweet like other places. Potatoes were good, could be better.

Small portions and high prices! I believe my dish to be the smallest crepe known to man! I was so hungry after eating here (and it was not cheap). The crepe itself was pretty bland but the yummy cheese on top saved it from complete disaster. The home fries were undercooked some were still a little hard/ firm and not crispy and we waited a really long time for the food. Would not recommend any type of brunch or breakfast here! Service was kind and friendly though.

Avoid this place. Not worth the Hype based on service alone

After waiting 45 minutes for a table. Understandably a busy day, I observed a family walk in to try to claim an open table who had arrived after us. I asked how much longer for our table, she told me we were next. The other family came in and started to try to help bus the table, so I walked back in. Mentioned to that woman we were next, she claimed the same. I went to clarify with the hostess, She said we were after them, so I made mention that maybe not to tell us both we were next as that causes frustration for all. I told her I understood and I went back outside. The hostess then came out, looked at us and told us she wasn't going to do this today and to find somewhere else. I get when you are busy, but customer service and consistency goes a long way. Just because you are stressed and Busy doesn't give permission to behave this way. Maybe have a better plan in place to handle the influx of Business during a Christmas event.

Visited April 19th for breakfast..see receipt. This cute and cozy restaurant is located on Broad Street in Nevada City California. They open at 9am and close at 230pm (i think they are closed on Wednesdays). The place reminds me of a true diner! Its casual yet artful ambience fits in with the Nevada City vibe. My boyfriend and i wanted breakfast and i haven't been here in years so we decided to give it a try. GLAD we did...breakfast was good but not over filling...2 eggs with hash browns and 2 pancakes. Also added crispy bacon on the side. Pancakes were nice and fluffy, and crispy bacon is exactly what we wanted! Coffee was nice and strong and tasty. They also have mimosas and beer and wine. The location is great as its right off the freeway and you can walk to all the shops! This is also where they filmed the movie "The Christmas Card". Great experience..quick service. SEAN was very friendly and on top of taking care of the customers needs. ALFONZO did a great job cooking up the food! Definitely be back when i am in town..Have to try their famous crepes!

Super cute little cafe. Apparently it was in the movie "Christmas Card". People kept stopping in to have their picture taken with the mural. The waiter was super cute telling everyone about the mural and makimg sure they got a good picture. Eggs Benedict with hash browns was good. Should have tried the crepes, as everybody was ordering that! Next time

The waitress was kind enough to offer some leftover hot chocolate in an espresso cup! Yes, we got our son some hot chocolate. Funny how that works!

It was the Saturday before Christmas 2023 and my father decided to take me to breakfast in Nevada City, California in-order pick up a few last minute gifts items for mom. Nevada City Classic Cafe is a charming local cafe which I enjoyed for their service, breakfast sections and local diner ambiance with reasonable prices. Locals and visitors alike were generous in providing information regarding the establishment and Nevada City itself. Yes, Hallmark's movie the "Christmas Card" was filmed at the cafe. Like many visitors I too took a few snapshots of the infamous mural. Meanwhile, during my visit the servers were attentive and ensured everything was just right in the way the food was prepared and coffee remained hot. I enjoyed a bacon breakfast burrito with a side of potatoes and decaffeinated coffee with cream to drink. Portions were large and I only ate half of the breakfast burrito. I look the remaining portion to go. Complements to the chiefs given the food was delicious and filling . I am already looking forward to my next visit give the place is known to moviegoers for their "crispy curly fries. The only downside of the establishment is the need to update their restroom. Otherwise this is an excellent place to observe others, enjoy a delightful conversation, and have an enjoyable meal as a solo individual and/or with family and friends. However if you are in search for something upscale this is not your place. This appears to serve as a local diner with local charm. When you stop in make sure to say "Hi" to Auggie.

Food was bland except for an over abundance of salt on the sweet potato fries. Service was slow. $30 for a bland sandwich and a Diet Coke.

Before my big move to Washington, I made one last visit in February 2026 with some friends because I knew I had to eat here one more time before leaving. Since then, I still haven't found another crepe place that compares. If you want crepes, they absolutely have your back. I never bothered ordering much else because once I found my favorite, I stayed loyal to it every single visit! The spinach and crab crepe on spinach batter. SO good every time. They also offer gluten-free crepe options, which is nice, but personally the spinach batter was unbeatable for me. Now appetizers?? Escargot and French onion soup all the way, baby! The escargot was plump and soaked in buttery oil goodness, and the French onion soup was savory, cheesy, rich, and super filling. Writing this review is making me hungry all over again. My family has tried the French toast before and thought it adequate. Simple, classic, and exactly what you'd expect from French toast. No complaints there. The restaurant itself has a cozy, humble atmosphere with paintings decorating the walls, and there's a decent amount of seating. Parking can be a little tight since it's a one-way parking lot situation, but manageable. We usually entered through the main building entrance that connects with the neighboring cantina restaurant, though there's also an outside patio entrance. Service is where the experience could be a little hit or miss, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. I often preferred takeout because my order would usually be ready right when I arrived. Dine-in service depended heavily on how busy they were and what time of day you visited. Sometimes the servers were attentive and checked in frequently, while other times it could take awhile to flag someone down. Oddly enough, I noticed they seemed more attentive when I dined solo, probably because I usually came during quieter weekday mornings. I will say though, Danielle's Creperie holds a lot of nostalgic memories for me, especially with friends/family. It will always be one of my favorite comfort breakfast spots.

The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had the chance to chat with Julian himself along with a couple other staff members, and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The stars of the meal were definitely the breakfast wrap and the bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be dreaming about that croissant until then.

Stay away from the waffles and bagel sandwiches. I ordered a waffle for my son and expected a large, typical pressed waffle. The waffle he was served was about a quarter in size of one of those large waffles and tasted like a glazed donut was pressed in a waffle machine. I had asked for syrup and powdered sugar on the side as we try to limit sugar for our toddler and I was appalled that this waffle was literally a glazed donut. My husband and I ordered the classic, but paid $1 extra each to turn it into a bagel sandwich. The bagel was incredibly dry, the bagel was bacon bits that were falling off the bagel, the cheese was shredded cheese that was not even fully melted, and there were a few pieces of scrambled egg that were ok. It was actually inedible for me. I ate the egg and some of the bacon bits with a fork, but threw out the rest as it was not worth eating. I was incredibly disappointed with this breakfast.
