Everything is tasty but value isn't there. An avocado crepe is now $19.75 and no side salad is included. You just get the crepe. For those prices they need to include a small green salad, fruit or pasta salad with the entree crepes. read more

Danielle's Creperie is genuinely one of the restaurants I miss most after moving out of state. I had been coming here for several years, and it became one of my favorite breakfast spots. Before my big move to Washington, I made one last visit in February 2026 with some friends because I knew I had to eat here one more time before leaving. Since then, I still haven't found another crepe place that compares. If you want crepes, they absolutely have your back. I never bothered ordering much else because once I found my favorite, I stayed loyal to it every single visit! The spinach and crab crepe on spinach batter. SO good every time. They also offer gluten-free crepe options, which is nice, but personally the spinach batter was unbeatable for me. Now appetizers?? Escargot and French onion soup all the way, baby! The escargot was plump and soaked in buttery oil goodness, and the French onion soup was savory, cheesy, rich, and super filling. Writing this review is making me hungry all over again. My family has tried the French toast before and thought it adequate. Simple, classic, and exactly what you'd expect from French toast. No complaints there. The restaurant itself has a cozy, humble atmosphere with paintings decorating the walls, and there's a decent amount of seating. Parking can be a little tight since it's a one-way parking lot situation, but manageable. We usually entered through the main building entrance that connects with the neighboring cantina restaurant, though there's also an outside patio entrance. Service is where the experience could be a little hit or miss, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. I often preferred takeout because my order would usually be ready right when I arrived. Dine-in service depended heavily on how busy they were and what time of day you visited. Sometimes the servers were attentive and checked in frequently, while other times it could take awhile to flag someone down. Oddly enough, I noticed they seemed more attentive when I dined solo, probably because I usually came during quieter weekday mornings. I will say though, Danielle's Creperie holds a lot of nostalgic memories for me, especially with friends/family. It will always be one of my favorite comfort breakfast spots. read more

This place is AMAZING!!! The mushroom soup was PHENOMENAL!! The seafood and spinach crepe was so huge and delicious I could only eat half. The owner Elias was very sweet when he checked on us. I love Daniel's Creperie. I always eat the spinach and chicken cream crêpe. We typically always get the dessert crêpe too. Our favorite is getting the chocolate raspberry crêpe with a normal crêpe so that it still has the chocolate drizzle on top and we add a banana..... My daughter and I both had the broccoli, mushroom Gouda cheese crepe. It was the worse lunch we have ever had, and I am 75 years old! The broccoli was not cooked at all, mushrooms were cold, maybe a teaspoon of cheese that tasted like Swiss and no flavor. How can they justify the price? read more

My daughter and I came here once before and it was a good experience, but this time was totally different. Came at 12 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon and was barely greeted at the door... She grabbed a menu and looked at us without saying anything and sat us in the back. My daughter's pancakes, if that's what you wanna call them were thin, almost like a crêpe and some of them had a gummy texture while others were burnt, and it appears they tried to hide the burned ones underneath the stack. Me and my friend had a great experience here. We came in on a Saturday morning and they had a lot of tables available. I ordered crab and spinach crepe which was delicious and filling. They also have various coffee options as well as mimosas for brunch. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy crepes. read more

The items I ordered this day were kind of random. They do have plenty of other things on the menu but I was on a whim and weirdly craved dessert crepes. I saw they also served French onion soup and HAD to give it a try. Unfortunately, not the biggest fan of the soup. Maybe it's not their fault but I think it's just not for me.. it carried lots of sodium and was super salty to the taste. Also, I didn't like the mushy texture. Now for the crepes, I personally ordered the Nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas which they charged me $3 each to add. My crepe ended up being $20 alone which is quite insane considering I could easily make something like this at home if I wanted to but that's really my main complaint is how pricey it is. I did love the diner ambience though. It felt intimate and cozy. Loved the fireplace on the TV! I do wish they would've checked on us more, especially for how much the food costs (still not over it). But hey, still good. Just don't spend your time here if you're not ready to pay for an arm and a leg for some crepes. read more

Danielle's Crêperie has been a familiar name to me since childhood, so returning after all these years felt nostalgic. I went for dinner with my mom and my boyfriend, and we had a lovely experience. I'm not positive why all the commotion. It's a cute little Crêperie that has clearly seen several years. I'm assuming it's a staple for the locals and the reputation has proceeded itself. Obviously a popular spot for brunch in these parts by the size of the crowd. We had a small wait to be seated but then a longer wait to be served. To be expected. Our server was very un-memorable. Makes sense that I don't remember who it was. Part was the crowd, part was a clear desire to not to want to be working today. A shame. They feature a nice variety of signature crêpes and of course you can create your own, within reason. For those of us non-breakfast types they offer soups, sandwiches and the like. The French Onion soup is fantastic and they have a filling tuna salad. The reports I received from the table were a solid thumbs up on the breakfast options. But all agreed that the place has lost a little something over time and the high costs are a bit out of proportion. read more

My wife and I have loved this place for years. But something seems off now. Went yesterday and the AC was off - only fans on and the restaurant was hot. The food was mediocre at best. The Cobb salad used to be great, but now have very skimpy toppings and the lettuce is bag lettuce. The crepe had a good flavor but the chicken was very dry and seemed old. The quiche was also not fresh and the crust was like a hockey puck. We really like the family that owns this place and hope they take steps to improve. We were concerned when we were one of 2 or 3 customers in the entire restaurant on a weekend. read more

Only issue was my husband was not impressed with the sausage crepe because it was a bit bland, but the manager was willing to address this for us. First time here. The entrance is inside an indoor shopping area with no other businesses inside. The owner of the building could certainly spruce it up. I got the smoked salmon with capers, cream cheese and fresh bread. My so got the eggs Benedict California style. He got a side of sour cream, they charged us 1.45. Either my potatoes were extra or his were, but I thought they were included. My food was good. It was warm inside, so not the best place to go when it is 99 outside. I also got the bread pudding with my salmon. Both the server and the person who brought out the food commented on that. Geez. It was ok, had it been served warm, I think it would have been better. read more

The food didn't blow us away but our meal was good and the service was very attentive. Their website doesn't list mention they offer gluten free crepes but they do! Yay!!! We shared a large bowl of French Onion Soup without the bread because I don't eat gluten. The melted cheese sunk to the bottom and wasn't crusted but it was still yummy and the broth was flavorful. My son had the Breakfast Crepe that had cheese and eggs, plus a side of fruit. He loved his crepe. The fruit was very fresh. I enjoyed the gluten free crepe batter with Spinach, Chicken, and Mushrooms. I believe it was supposed to have eggs because I ordered the Breakfast Crepe with the additions but no eggs were included. The chicken was a tad dry too. I was starving so I didn't send it back for the eggs and probably should've. The server was with it and quickly told me the Bechemal Sauce on the Coq Breton and the St James Sauce on the Crepe Normande had gluten so I couldn't order either. I greatly appreciate how she addressed the situation and offered to make the Breakfast Crepe gluten free with the Spinach, Chicken, and Mushrooms. The other two in my party had the Sausage, Peppers, and Onions Crepe and the Coq Breton Crepe. They said they were fine but nothing spectacular. We took a gluten free Nutella and Banana Crepe home. That was delicious. My Mimosa was refreshing. The service was really good in that they came by and refilled water and iced tea. They checked on us just enough. Delicious crepes! Wide variety of fruits to seafood in their crepes! Eggs benedict was on the lighter side with an airy slice of bread and thin slice of ham, but still delicious. Has both indoor and outdoor seating but opted to get morning sun outdoors. Straightforward and prompt service - not chirpy or rude. So I never imagined that I would ever write a negative review of Danielle's Creperie. I have been going to Danielle's since the 1990's when it was in Town and Country shopping center and was called Crepe Danielle's and it has ALWAYS been one of my favorite "go-to" spots in Sacramento for both breakfast and lunch. But something is wrong. I'd say that the ownership transition was smooth and initially the restaurant didn't miss a step. But as time went on some things slipped a little bit. Not enough to bring forward, but noticeable based on a historical perspective. Service has always been great and the food has been consistently good and sometimes excellent. This has started to slip. This culminated this past weekend, when we drove across town to have brunch and ultimately ended up walking out without even being served food or beverage. They were out of our staple Garlic Lovers and did not have wine by the bottle. We always start brunch with a bottle of Cab and the garlic lovers. I'm not even sure that our waiter knew what Cabernet is nor am I confident he checked, but I'll give him the benefit the doubt. I told our waiter we were going elsewhere and he was quite melancholy about it. My wife remarked, " do you think he cares that 100$ just walked out the door?" I had zero intention of writing anything negative about the experience. I decided to call the restaurant and merely share our experience with the owner. It was obviously an issue where the staff was just checked out that day and the owner was not present to regulate. We even saw a bus girl walk up to the table next to us and just shake her head at the dirty plates and walked away without bussing. I called the restaurant and shared my concern with a female employee and asked to speak with the owner. He was not present so I explained the situation and asked that he call me because the staff is not on-point when he is not there, nor is the kitchen. I left my name and phone number. I waited 3 days for a call. Crickets. Hence the review. I want Danielle's back. Please take charge, correct employee lack of engagement and respect the customers. I'm sorry. I did my best as a loyal customer to save this place from demise. The normal weekend crowd was blatantly absent, so I'm making the assumption that others have noticed as well. read more

(Brunch) We were a party of four, all ordered multiple menu items and enjoyed the food. The crepes are perfection. It arrived as requested and warm. Outside dining. Service was slow but they were very friendly and knowledgeable. Biggest complaint is the inside is soooooooo outdated. It's not "cutely" outdated...it's really really outdated...So it looses a star for the interior. It gains a star for outside patio dining. Outside patio dining is great and enjoyable and 100% improves the dining experience. The location is kind of hidden in Arden Town Shopping Center. If they updated the interior to match the menu and menu prices it would be really great place. It has so much potential. It's been in business since late 1980's so they are doing something right...the attention to updating with the times is not one of them... Recommend for menu and outdoor patio dining only. I am very sad to have to give this review but slowly this crêperie has been changing its recipes and it's no longer the Danielles Crepe for that I have always enjoyed. I purchased a salad with the tarragon dressing and a chicken and mushroom Crepe, to go. When I got home as you can see in the photos, the dressing was a pink color when I called. They said it had too much red wine in this mixture, but they still served it? It tasted like vinegar nowhere near the lovely Terragon dressing that they are known for. Also, the crêpe was so overcooked. I could not even eat it. The sauce inside is sweet instead of savory. They have either change the sauce or the cheese. I urge the owners to please stick to the original ingredients or your customers will notice the unsavory change, especially if we have been coming to dine there for years. I realize food cost is very high, but without the Original recipes it is no longer Danielle's beloved crêperie. read more

I've been going to Danielle's Creperie for decades, starting in my twenties when they were on J Street in midtown Sacramento. I'm now in my sixties! The food is always great, and the service is excellent. Danielle's has changed hands several times over the years. But their huge and varied menu remains consistent. And many of the people who work there today have been working there for years, if not decades. (I'm very sad to see recent negative, and in my opinion, unfair reviews. If it looks like the menu has changed, I can say it hasn't. There's just so much to look at! While it's true that prices have gone up, prices have done so everywhere. Sadly that's the price of doing business in these times. We've all seen such price changes after just one trip to the grocery store, or even at a fast food drive-through.) I love Danielle's fresh salads, delicious onion soup, and their delicate caramel custard. Breakfast is a feast with their delicious potato platter and the mouth-watering breakfast crepes. Other of my favorites include the Rueben crepe, the peach crepe, and the chocolate raspberry crepe. Danielle's makes their own caramel and chocolate sauces for these crepes! And my husband is always impressed with their large and varied sandwich menu. Truly, there's just too many things to mention here. I should have checked the menu. The eggs Benedict came on some toasted baguettes? It was different. Eggs poached perfect. My table also ordered the following: Karma crepe- tasted like a Mexican dish, but it's Indian with curry and chicken inside. Had crushed jammish peaches on top. Reuben crepe- straight up sauerkraut and the corned beef meat inside. Chicken club sandwich- chicken was very dry and fries with seasoning. Danielle's daily lunch special- specialty crepe ordered and a choice of fresh fruit or orange juice. Came with a croissant. My mom ordered the fresh fruit. It came with whipped cream. We didn't say anything initially because my mom didn't want to complain. It didn't say that it came with whipped cream. My mom didn't touch the fruit because she didn't want the whipped cream and wanted us to ask for another bowl that didn't come with whipped cream. So I asked another server that came up to ask if we were doing ok while filling our water. I asked for my mom and stated that we didn't touch the fresh fruit and would like to ask if we could get another one with no whipped cream. She was wearing a different shirt- a turquoise one. She may have been the owner or a manager because she had her child with her in the back walking around. She was rude about it and said we need to tell them next time if we don't want whipped cream. I said we didn't know it came with whipped cream- checked the menu and it doesn't say anything about it, neither was there a picture. She walked away and said it again- that we need to tell them next time. And she mean mugged me walking away. If it was such a big deal we could have wiped it off I guess. Left a bad taste in our mouth with her attitude. She also said see you next time without looking at us on her tablet. We did not eat half of it and ask for a new one. My buddies called and asked if I'd like to meet them at Danielle's Creperies for breakfast so I put on my pants and headed out.. I ordered the California Benedict with scrambled eggs instead of poached eggs and it was honestly one of the best Benedict I've ever had. The sauce was perfect and instead of it being on top of an English muffin, it was on a buttered baguette just put this Benedict everyone else. My wife ordered the basic two egg breakfast and met her expectations of deliciousness. One of my buddies ordered a savory crêpe and her wife ordered a sweet crêpe. I tried the sweet crêpe that was also delicious. It was the banana chocolate or maybe that was Nutella and sliced almonds also super delicious. We arrived here on a Saturday morning at about 915 and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. They have inside dining and an outside patio area if you're feeling like you want breakfast on a patio The inside dining area is slightly outdated and what appears to be a French motif. Although outdated it was clean and smelled good. We were attended too quickly. Our food came out quickly at our beverages never got too empty. The brilliant waitress forgot to place my wife's order but, delivered mine and didn't have a clue until I said something. The food is good, the price is good, the light above the table is great if you are blind but way too bright otherwise, the house wine that they serve on the Wednesday dinner deal is either Burgundy or Chablis. Does anyone still drink that stuff. I remember it back in the 1960's. The burgundy has not so subtle notes of red wine vinegar. This restaurant has been around for a long time but evidently under new ownership now. The menu seems the same but the preparation has slipped badly. I ordered eggs Benedict. The chunks of potato's were burnt black and any evidence of sauce was barely there. The waiter tried to convince us that the blacked potato's was the way they always did it.
