I'm convinced the positive reviews for this place must be fake. I was so excited to visit this shop with my sister, but wow, what a disappointment. First off, the $5.45 price for boba seemed great until I tasted it. I can confidently say this was the worst boba I've ever had. The brown sugar flavor was decent, but the boba pearls were severely overcooked & mushy. Even worse, the tea itself tasted rancid, like it had been brewed with spoiled leaves. I even went back to ask for more sweetener, and while the employees were accommodating, no amount of sweetener--and no amount of aggressive mixing--could mask the awful taste. If you're looking for authentic boba, this is absolutely not the place. Save your time, money, and taste buds and go elsewhere.

Love this place, theres not much places where you can get crepes Wish there was an option for ice cream crepe. But for what I got, I Love the crunchy and refreshing strawberry paired with the chewy crepe and all held together by the whipped cream and nutella. Delicious crepe. Every bite, I get the crunch from strawberry and chew from the crepe and it was awesome. I did order Jasmine boba last year, its good, it feels like less drink than other places. But if you want that classic jasmine flavor, they got it here. 5/5 no complaints

First time here and l'll definitely be back. The Thai Tea with Boba was yummy (the only thing it needed more ice) and the boba was made to perfection. The staff was extra friendly and they sell the CUTEST key chains at the cash register. I know, I know, who yelps about key chains?! They weren't like any I've seen before & resembled the chachki you would find at a Sanrio store (IYKYN) only they were more galactic. Next time I'm getting a boba and a key chain. I'm not an impulse buyer and I've been thinking about it since I was there so... that means I MUST buy one! Haha.

I was craving a sweet treat and boba so I tried this place out. The lady who took my order went to the kitchen for just a minute and came back with my drink and crepe. Fastest service ever and both the crepe and tea taste so good ! 10/10

The Boba Stop is probably the only Boba Shop that we would highly recommend to anyone in Chico. The owner is absolutely amazing going above and beyond for her customers. Always remembering our order every time we come or call. We like their new drink, Ube Tornado and their crepes! The atmosphere inside the store is welcoming and has changed for the better. The are now on Doordash fyi!

Small place but cute vibes. more of a get and go type of place. They change their menu specials from time to time.

The drink quality and snacks really stand out and could compete with the various shops you might find all over the Bay Area. The popcorn chicken has a nice texture and has the desired taste you expect from a Taiwanese style snack. It isn't the non sense store bought chicken that you might find at other shops or restaurants that try to cut costs. I really appreciate how you can taste the tea in the various drinks. Many boba places get this wrong by using too much syrup or get it too watered down. However, the ratio and tea taste is perfect here. The experience with the staff members here for the past few months has been more than great. Overall, Project Tea is the only place you should go to for boba if you live near Chico State.

I was beyond excited to try the spicy katsu chicken sando (I literally attempted eating here for 2 months but kept missing their open hours. They are VERY limited). The pricing I was charged was a bit more than what was on their menu, which I hadn't noticed until after the fact. :-/ When the sandwich arrived it was not at all what expected. I looked up the sandwich months ago and it appeared to be a juicy chicken breast between sliced cabbage on thick, fluffy bread. What I got was some beat up, flattened GREEEEEEASY gummy chicken that wasn't the least bit appetizing. It reminded me of frog legs and I was pretty much grossed out after the 2nd bite. The bread was exactly the same as Astesano Bakery Bread and didn't seem "home made" as their menu states. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't (home made) but it sure seemed like the same bread I buy at Safeway. Needless to say I was BEYOND bummed out. I guess that's partially my fault though, I mean... I saw a picture they used to have posted on their menu (it's no longer there) and had expectations that it was going to be exactly the same, which it most certainly was NOT. If I could sum it up in 2 words: Gummy & Greasy. Yuck. The best part was the cabbage so, that's what I ate and ditched the rest of the "sandwich" to the trash. So yeah, $13 + tip for some cabbage. Awesome. With that said, I don't recommend this place for the Sando's but! I may return for the egg rolls. They look good in the pictures however since I got 100% duped this time around, I think I'll ask if anybody I personally know has tried the egg rolls first before I spend any more money here. I do like their outdoor dining and if they could move the ginormous trash bins away from the outside dining tables it would be a great place to dine (who wants to eat next to trash cans??) I'll end on a positive note and say, I did like that they have an option of indoor or outdoor dining, if they move the trash cans, that would be my preferred place to eat.

Today I just tried the Hmong sausage and Thai tea. The lady working was sweet and let me sample the tea to test its sweetness. I think it's spot-on. The sausage is perfectly juicy, spicy and savory. It's rich, flavorful, and reminds me of the holidays.
