Check out the good stuff inside the crepe

When I'm in a part of town that I seldom visit it calls for a new food adventure. Well I found that at Tallinn Creperia. The crepe is huge and hot off the grill. The savory filling of Brie cheese, basil pesto, grilled chicken, fresh tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic glaze was incredible. Many drink options, I chose root beer. The only issue with Tallinn was the 3.50 for the drink, but that is the world we live in. The counter service was perfect. She offered help with the menu and asked questions to get the order right. Also checked in to confirm everything tasted great. Just so you know it was so good that I took my wife to the sister location she told me about, Kaffee Crepe, the next day. Give the sweet or savory crepes a try. My money says you will love them.

Tallin Creperia is one of those hole in the wall places that you definitely want to try out. My friend and I went and decided to order one savory and one sweet crepe, along with drinks. My friend ordered an iced coffee and the very friendly cashier offered to make her a caramel coffee, which isn't on the menu. My friend said it was wonderful. I had the Cherry Vanilla Italian soda, which had the perfect amount of sweetness. We had the Cowboy Crepe and it was done to perfection. I am glad we decided to to split our crepes because it was too big for me to eat alone. It tasted amazing. We also split the lemon curd crepe. Due to my allergies we had the raspberries removed and I absolutely loved how aware and how accommodating they were about allergies and cross contamination. I will definitely be eating here again and look forward to trying new crepes.

We decided to have breakfast after playing pickleball. Upon entering we were greeted and chose a table. The menus were brought to us but you order at the counter. After we placed our orders the crepes are brought to us. The Mount Rose crepe has eggs chorizo cheese and avocado. It was tasty. The green salsa has a kick. Hubby ordered the Cowboy crepe, meat & meat. lol. It has ham, pulled pork, cheese. Hubby liked it and the bbq sauce. It is a little pricey but we need to remember how close, tasty, and convenient it is.

Love this little crepe shop. Had lunch here and tried the cowboy Crepe. It's delicious and so filling. Carnitas, ham, potatoes, bbq sauce and I didn't taste them but there was supposed to be fried onions too. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. The girls working were very polite and sweet. We got an old fashioned dessert crepe to go. It has strawberries, lemon curd and vanilla and it's amazing. I think the place is very cute but they could play some better more popular music.

We had so much fun this morning at breakfast here. There was plenty of seating inside with me and my friends, that came to visit from out of town. It is located inside of a shopping center with plenty of on-site parking available. They had a limited time menu of new items. I ordered the raspberry lemonade off of that. It was really good and not too sweet. My friend ordered a coffee with the Alaskan crepe, savory crepe. It has salmon inside and my other friend got the panu, which had arugula, chicken and pesto inside. I opted for the cookie butter crepe, sweet crepe. This has bananas inside along with biscoff cookies and cookie butter. Leslie helped us at the counter. She was awesome. Really made us feel welcomed. She said when we come here, we are at home. "Our customers are our family." She says. We also got some Dracula fries for the table. They were delicious. I recommend trying this place out. They allowed us to put two tables together for our party too. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Apple cider Mimosa and a Baileys and Coffee on a cold Sunday morning

On a cold Sunday morning my wife and I decided to get some crepes before we proceeded with our errands for the day. We had a Carnitas Crepe and one their seasonal specials the Green Chile Chicken Crepe, along with that we also enjoyed a delicious Apple Cider Mimosa and Baileys Coffee. It was slow this morning and the server was attentive and kind, the Ambiance is lovely and European esque inside with two stone pillars adorning the front entrance and Estonian inspired decor. The food arrived in a timely fashion but I can't speak for when it becomes busy, all in all a delicious experience but be warned the portion sizes are massive.

I have been here several times now. These crepes will have you feeling like you are in Europe. There is something so decadent about these crepes. The crepes are thin with a soft interior and a slightly crisp exterior. It makes these crepes all the more tastier. My favorite savory crepe is the New Yorker. It is a tasty crepe with pastrami. Full of flavor. The crepes are plump and full. My husband and I often share a savory and sweet crepe. Two are enough to fill us up. My favorite sweet crepe is the Old Fashioned Crepe with strawberries, vanilla custard, and lemon curd. The creamy vanilla, strawberries, and lemon curd go so well together. Every bite is filled with luscious flavor. I am so happy Sparks has or is getting so many tasty restaurants.

When you walk inside you notice the small little area, though it is nice and clean inside, with an older style that's very pleasing to the eye. The menu options are rather limited, but for what it lacks in quantity, it definitely made up for in price and quality! I ordered the Sparks Delight Crepe, a recommendation from the kind server. It was a very different type of food than I'm used to. Any bite of only the flour was quite bland, but any bite of the crepe with all the fillings was a very sweet and flavorful surprise! The crepe was prepared perfectly and it took mere minutes to be prepared and served to me! This was a very pleasant surprise from such a small little establishment! I was very pleased from my experience and I will certainly be coming back!

Well, well, well!! Sparks really needed this little gem. I was super hangry and I was afraid it would be closing up by the time we arrived. It was around 8:15 on a Friday night. Nope. We were lucky. Got in no problem with plenty of time to spare. I had a glass of perfectly chilled fume blanc and the Pärnu Crepe with Brie cheese, basil pesto, grilled chicken, fresh tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic glaze. It was amazing! Very fresh, cheesy creamy, and tasty! My husband had the Tallinn Crepe with Basil pesto, classic hummus, fresh tomatoes, avocado, arugula, and balsamic glaze. He had never had a crepe with hummus before and really enjoyed it. For dessert we shared the Olde Thomas Crepe which had fresh strawberries, bananas, Nutella, and condensed milk and a side of whipped cream. Oh boy did it hit the spot! I was surprised we were served the crepes on disposable paper plates with plastic utensils. This wasn't a problem and didn't even think about it because the food was so good! I would suggest to class it up a bit and offer real plates and utensils for dine in. I'm guessing most do take out hence the disposables. The place is small with seating available for around maybe 28-30. The front door was open, it was a beautiful night with a warm breeze. I kept wondering why I smelled something like car exhaust. Ahhh, the culprit was the cigar lounge next door. Not the best scent if you don't care for cigar smoke. Again, not anything terrible just made me scratch my head for awhile. When our check came, we paid with a card, we didn't have to sign anything as we were automatically checked out. Hence we couldn't add a tip to the total. Thankfully we had some cash and could leave that behind. We really enjoyed Tallinn Creperia and will come back for take out and dine in. Welcome to the neighborhood and thank you for giving us something different and yummy.

Stay away from the waffles and bagel sandwiches. I ordered a waffle for my son and expected a large, typical pressed waffle. The waffle he was served was about a quarter in size of one of those large waffles and tasted like a glazed donut was pressed in a waffle machine. I had asked for syrup and powdered sugar on the side as we try to limit sugar for our toddler and I was appalled that this waffle was literally a glazed donut. My husband and I ordered the classic, but paid $1 extra each to turn it into a bagel sandwich. The bagel was incredibly dry, the bagel was bacon bits that were falling off the bagel, the cheese was shredded cheese that was not even fully melted, and there were a few pieces of scrambled egg that were ok. It was actually inedible for me. I ate the egg and some of the bacon bits with a fork, but threw out the rest as it was not worth eating. I was incredibly disappointed with this breakfast. Our table had a charming "farm-to-table-to-table" situation happening, with previous meals still bravely clinging to the surface like tiny edible fossils. We asked if someone could wipe it down, and instead of simply cleaning it, they empowered us with cleaning supplies. Honestly, bold concept. Very interactive. Part restaurant, part escape room, part employee training seminar. My Mrs. requested a clean table, and suddenly we were promoted to assistant busser. No paperwork, no interview, just straight into management. Food was great, vibes were good, and by the end we had a cleaner table and a stronger relationship. Would return, possibly with my own apron.

I had a bite of hubbys sandwich. His sourdough bread was delicious, so was the ham and the cheese was the perfect melt. Nice place, we were in a side room with only about 5 or 6 tables. Ever since their opening back in 2016, this has been a wildly popular spot to enjoy inside or on-the-go with their convenient drive-thru. Located right next to a Quik Stop gas station and a Subway, this place is conveniently at the corner of Diamond Rd (Highway 49) and Pleasant Valley Rd in the small community of Diamond Springs. I also wanted to mention that they have very generous hours of operation being opened Monday through Saturday from 5:30am to 4:30pm while being closed on Sunday. I ended up coming here during the afternoon of Saturday 6/15/2024 at around 2:15pm. Since this was well past the morning rush, there were no other customers inside and not a single vehicle parked directly outside. As far as the exterior layout, it uses freestanding rocks which gives it a castle-like appearance. The interior though is very impressive as they've utilized the walls with floral-type balconies, a large painting with more floral arrangements surrounding it, and vintage furniture which has a very nostalgic look as if you've stepped back in time. I also wanted to point out that there is a spacious outdoor sitting area for the most comfortable days. First and foremost, the menu here is quite impressive with a huge selection of coffees, espressos, teas, quenchers, blended drinks, and smoothies. They also carry a nice assortment of breakfast sandwiches, bagels, burritos, croissants, and crepes. And for the lunch crowd, they even offer pizza, pasta, soup, and traditional sandwiches. I ended up ordering a slice of their pepperoni pizza with a small mango smoothie while my significant other went with a bacon, egg, & cheddar bagel with an iced Americano. Our drinks were ready within a couple minutes while our food came shortly thereafter. I will say that the mango smoothie was delicious as it was refreshing without being too overbearingly sweet. However, the pizza was just okay for me as it was a bit on the soggy side and not too crisp. Same goes with the bagel as there were more small clumps of bacon (instead of full-cut bacon). And the eggs, they resembled more of a processed scramble egg with a perfectly cut square; I have a feeling it might be frozen and heated to save time. However, the bagel was good and had nice texture to it. Still at $10 for the breakfast bagel, this was a bit on the pricier side. All in all, "Love Birds Coffee & Tea Co." is a decent place that has a lot of character and charm to it. The young staff working here were very kind, courteous, and accommodating while the ambiance is definitely a home run in my book. I'd stick with the coffee as this is their strong point. But for a stop before work or even if you're heading to Tahoe or the foothills, this is a decent above average business. My rating, four stars.
