Either this tells me that he fucked up on someone and has a lawsuit on his hands, and now he's actually having to ask for them, because years going to them they have never asked for an MRI for the lower lumbar decompression it's always been X-Rays. So all these years they've been dropping the ball on not asking for an MRI apparently and just taking anyone in for quick money grab. I suggest whoever has been coming here for the same reason, look elsewhere who can attend to your pain sooner.

He was thorough, compassionate, and genuinely focused on getting to the root of what was going on. I never felt rushed or dismissed. He took the time to explain everything and made sure all necessary tests were done. Two weeks prior, I had gone to St. Rose Hospital for the exact same pain and was told it was esophageal spasms without much testing. The pain went away the next day, but when it came back two weeks later, it was a full 10/10. When I explained this to Dr. Leavit, he told me that esophageal spasms are very difficult to definitively diagnose and that he wanted to run a full workup to be sure we weren't missing anything. I am so grateful he did. It turned out to be my gallbladder, and it needed to be removed. I was told it was close to rupturing, and catching it when they did likely prevented a much more serious situation. I was there for several hours before being admitted to Henderson Hospital, and although there was an emergency situation that caused some delays, the team kept me informed every step of the way. An administrative staff member checked on me multiple times to make sure I was okay and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. I don't remember my nurse's name, but he was equally amazing--kind, attentive, and compassionate. He made sure I had everything I needed during a long stay from about 8 PM to 3 AM. The entire time, I felt cared for, seen, and supported. It was clear that the team genuinely wanted to find answers, not just treat symptoms. I can't say enough good things about the care I received here.

If you are looking to get your neck or back cracked, they do not do that here. The "doctor" will only use a small spring-loaded handheld tool called an "activator" that is mostly suitable for sensitive patients to "adjust" you. Again, they will not crack your neck or back or anything else. After 6 months, I didn't feel much different or that this type of "treatment" was even doing anything for me. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but after enough time, I am not convinced. They started me off with 3 visits a week for a while, then moved down to 2 for a while, then down to 1. After 6 months, I was thinking I was driving a long way and paying a lot of money for this and wanted to discontinue their services. They asked if I was interested in a more budget-friendly plan, and I said that I might be, and to please call me with those details. At the same time, they offered me 3 months to take a break. I took them up on the 3-month break, and they said they would call me with the budget-friendly plan details. They never called me regarding that. Only 4 months later they ended up calling me back trying to get me to resume care, and my response to them was that I thought they had completely forgotten about me. I let them know that I would not be coming back and they said they needed me to sign some paperwork for that, AND that I needed to do it in person. I refused to drive all the way there to sign a document in person and told them it could be done via e-mail. I also wanted all future communications to be done via e-mail so it could be referenced in black and white. Ultimately, I decided to back out of the 1-year agreement, needed to sign a "Request for Discontinuation of Care" form, and ended up owing money. Don't expect your monthly payments and number of visits to coincide, and don't bother asking the front desk if you are paid up as they will not know until an "audit" is done. I made the mistake of taking their word for it. They propose a total cost for the "care plan" and divide it up into 12 equal monthly payments, and to quote them directly from an email, "because you are seen more frequently at the beginning of your care, if you end care early, it is very likely that you will still owe a balance." In my case, I was paying 100% out of pocket and my "care plan" was $177.82 a month, or $2133.84 for the year. Do not fall for the discount offered if you pay in full. When I cancelled, I still owed almost $60 after paying 6 months of $177.82. Re-evaluations also cost $50 each. I would highly recommend communicating any important issues such as billing through e-mail so that you can look back on exactly what was said so there is no confusion or miscommunication. I'll never go to this type of "chiropractor" again. I think they need to re-evaluate their business practices.

The entire prep and surgical team there are professional, informative and provide excellent health care. Would I recommend Dr Frankel and the Henderson Surgery Center team? You bet, to friends, family and whoever else has to experience these procedures.

Both my husband and I have gotten multiple colonoscopies here, including mine a couple of months ago and his most recently. He also added an endoscopy, which he said he couldn't even tell afterwards as he had no soreness. Dr. Mokuolu is the gastroenterologist we see and he's amazing and seriously the best! The facility sets up text message alerts to the patient's driver as they move through surgery from prep to completion. I was informed every step of the way. I could sit and visit while he waited before and in recovery. The facility is in a nice clean parking lot with some fast casual restaurants nearby, so multiple options for a quick coffee or bite to eat while waiting. I just walked because it was so close. When back in the office waiting area, there is cold water and a coffee machine. Lots of seating inside and some in the main lobby as well. Shout out to Danielle, Amy, Ramee, and Heather who helped take care of my husband. My caretakers were Jayeline, Ashley, and Ashley N. The only negative is the fire alarm was being tested about 9am, which I commented to the maintenance that they shouldn't do it while people are in surgery, as it's very loud. It wasn't anything to do with the surgery center, because this was the building operators scheduling it. See everyone again in 5 years or so!
