Well as I tried to extend it or not doing it, I finally scheduled a Colonoscopy and was set to have it done at this surgery center over at 100 Green Valley Pkwy. The center is very cleaned and everyone was very king and friendly. The procedure was actually pretty quickly. My nurse Amie was awesome. I then met anesthesiologist and doctor. I liked that everyone explaining their part and if I had any questions. I was then moved to the surgery room by the two nurses assisting in the procedure.. thank you. As I was getting the anesthesia (Propofol),I have to say was the worst part of this so mentioned and recommended preventative procedure. It was the most painful experience ever. I was screaming until I passed out. The procedure was done and I woke up about 20 minutes later per my recovery nurse Amy. Again, the center was awesome, very caring, I always had someone every moment during the procedure. It was very much appreciated. Cons: 1. not sure if everyone has same reaction to Propofol but for sure I'll try to avoid it. 2. Prep solution wasn't as bad as I was told. I was prescribed Plenvu. I did not have issues drinking it and following instructions. My bathroom experience was also not as I was told by others. I guess everyone experiences different reactions/symptoms. At the end of this ordeal the results were vey satisfactory, all normal. I hope I keep my health the same or better for the next in 10 years. Scared as for my wonderful search of the deep colonoscopy with Dr Ricker. All staff including medical staff injecting me with great solutions were very pleasant caring compassionate.Was well looked after. Nurse Nancy did awesome inserting my drip needle. I was worried the "prep" solution may had still taken effect, and would be so embarrassed, but was reassured they had ways if dealing with it. No issues after exploratory surgery, didnt feel a thing dont remember anything felt great after anaesthetic; which is normally a big issue!! $0 for op.. so far yay USA health insurance read more

The best experience, truly. Very clean office, all of the staff are so kind and knowledgeable. My nurses couldn't have been better. Their bedside manner and comfort meant everything to me. Shana was so incredible, she really went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and informed on how to properly care for myself after surgery. Annie was my OR nurse and she too was so kind and held my hand and assured me that everything would be just fine and that she would stay with me and afterward I would be able to start the journey of putting this behind me. The reassurance was really calming and she did everything she said she would. She was there when I fell asleep and everything. My doctor is on the board here and she is the best doctor ever, I knew whatever place she operates at would be so great and it was. 10/10 recommend Parkway Surgery Center for any outpatient surgery. read more

I had a good experience here. I arrived on time. They gave me a COVID questionnaire and took my temperature outside of the lobby before I was even admitted. I had pre-filled all my medical history online before arrival and they had everything, so all they had to do was take a copy of my ID and my insurance card. There were about six of us in the waiting room at 6:30 AM. I was the last to be called back at about 7:30 AM. I was fasting and hadn't had any water for three hours, so I was a little irritated at that. But I understand that they can't take everyone at once. I was there for my first colonoscopy, as I turned 50 last year and now is the time for such things. The pre-admittance nurse, Audrey, was very thorough and helpful and answered all my questions. Once I was back in the surgical preparation area everything went smoothly. They took my blood pressure and blood sugar and everything was normal, so I was ready to get my IV and be prepped for surgery. I was wheeled into the OR at about 8:15 AM and woke up in recovery at 8:35 AM. Everything went smoothly there were no abnormalities. I was very impressed with the doctor, nurses and anesthesiologist. I will definitely return here for a surgical needs in the future. They couldn't have been nicer or more professional! read more

January 29 went in for a procedure. Office staff, nurses and doctors all very pleasant and professional. However, I had to pay $1520 up front. After the procedure I contacted my insurance company and they informed me they had covered this procedure. I then called the billing department. The gal I spoke with confirmed that insurance had covered it and she would expedite a refund, and that I should receive it in 4 weeks. It has now been 3 weeks since I should have been refunded and nothing yet. I have tried calling several times with no answer. I filled out their contact form 2 weeks ago and have not received a response to that. Guess I was lucky to get a live person the first time I called though nothing has been taken care of. I feel as if I've been robbed. read more

My husband had surgery here with Dr Tait and everything went as expected, actually better than expected. The entire staff was great, from the check-in to the nurses to the physical therapist. He stayed overnight in one of their beautiful surgical suites and I was free to stay with him but I didn't. They provided restaurant style meals for breakfast lunch and dinner for the both of us. When he would press a call light they would come in within 60 seconds, absolutely so attentive! The staff is professional, patient, friendly and efficient in everything they do. Not long ago my GI doc scheduled me for my second round of EGDs to be done and well with any type of procedure you just pray your heart out cause anything is possible, good or bad. 2nd time around I'm greeted by Natalie who is Dr Mokuolus nurse assistant I find out some time later... her also being a nurse here just showcases her talents and abilities, her great people skills and awesome energy transition really well and make everything that much better. EDG all done it's 2 weeks later and she's who goes over my results with me, safe to say THIS PLACE and Desert Gastroenterology on Wigwam is in good hands with Natalie being around. Clean facility, kinda tricky to find and is located inside another building. Process is fast if you register AT LEAST 3-4 days ahead of your procedure. All the docs and nurses here are extremely helpful and whatever your there for things couldn't be done by a better team of nurses and doctors. On Monday I had to complete a manipulation under anesthesia for a knee replacement done a few months back. This was my first visit to this office, I've been to their other office in the valley and had a good experience. Upon arrival, you will check in with a nurse to get your temperature checked and fill out a COVID questionnaire. At that point you enter the office and compete your check in. Soon after my pre op nurses came and took me into the pre op area. They were really nice, here I met with my surgeon, anesthesiologist and the operation room nurses. Once my IV and nerve block was set, they took me into the OR. The OR was spacious and comfortable. I was not awake long. From what I saw the room was modern and seemed nice. In post op, my nurse was pretty amazing ensure any pain was under control and that I was comfortable and alert before discharge. The cool thing was you get a gourmet cookie in post op which was awesome!!!! All in all a very friendly staff!!! Very caring and compassionate so please treat your nurses well. I would recommend this location if your doctor works out of here. read more

This place is amazing! I've recently had a colonoscopy here, and my husband did last year as well. We both had perfect service, from online to in person check-in. The office and building are clean, well kept, and have ample parking. Staff is professional and friendly. There are definitely plenty of staff, too, so there is always someone available to assist. During my procedure, I started with nurse Amy and had several other wonderful people help me. Dr. Mokuolu was my gastro, and he is fabulous! The procedure was a breeze! I woke up and felt great, was talking and able to eat easily afterward. I was even done at 11:11am, which is good luck! I got to see pictures of my colon and the polyp they removed. I didn't have any discomfort at all. Just FYI, I recommend that, as a woman, be ready to use the restroom for a pregnancy test upon arrival. The prep was very dehydrating, and I needed some extra fluids to be able to go. The staff was very patient with me, which I appreciate. I would highly recommend coming here because they do an excellent job! read more

My daughter had surgery here yesterday. everyone was so nice and sweet to her, and tried to make her as comfortable as possible. The facility itself was nice and clean, and overall, we were happy with the care our daughter received here. The only downside was, they only let one parent go back at a time. I had to go back with my daughter, because I was able to answer all the questions they would have, but my daughter wanted her daddy back there with her too. She was sad that they wouldn't let us both be back there with her before her surgery, and after in recovery. That's all I would really change about this place. My adult daughter and I reported to Parkway Surgery Center at 10:00 am for her upper endoscopy. Upon arriving at the location of the surgery center, it's located inside a large building in a suite; we had to locate a parking space as it was filled up with cars. We entered the building and found it to be in a suite on the first floor right inside the doors. My daughter signed in and was handed paperwork to sign and initial as she had already previously preregistered the day before online. The waiting room was clean, brightly lit with plenty of reading material and a t.v. The staff that handles the registration were friendly and helpful The nurse who came out to bring my daughter back was pleasant and kind. She came back for me after she helped my daughter get ready and started the I.V. While my daughter and I waited for her turn, the anesthesiologist stopped by, introduced himself and asked my daughter some questions. He was very good, l reassuring to my daughter who was nervous and anxious. The nurse who would be accompanying my daughter to the procedure room came by and introduced herself. She was friendly and professional. When it came time for my daughter to go back, I left and returned to the waiting room. About 45 minutes later, I was brought back to the recovery area where my daughter was. The RN taking care of her post op was excellent. She removed the I.V. and gave my daughter forms to sign with discharge instructions. I was instructed to go get the car and drive up the door where my daughter would be waiting for me. Picking her up was easy and we left to return home. If or when I have anymore procedures done, I will choose Parkway Surgery Center. This center is one of the most efficient centers I've been too. I also feel that this group of professionals are the most knowledgeable. I trust them with my family's care. I recommend Parkway Surgery Center. read more

Had an endoscopic procedure done on my L sinus z though these procedures typically have pain requiring serious pain medicine, & pain affects people differently, I only feel sone pressure, but no pain after this surgery performed by Dr. Scott Manthei, at 11 AM. I was given a pain pill for the travel time home at 11:30 & they recommended a second pain pill by 4:40 pm. It's now 6:16 pm, and I'm not feeling any pain in my L sinus. Nurses and front office staff were amazing, kind, patient and professional. They let my 7 year old son talk with them, kept him engaged, and really treated him as if he was their own child. Dr. Yip was informative, professional, and did a great job on my son's ear tubes. The frustration came with finding out I had to pay my portion, $1500 the day of surgery instead of being told prior to surgery date. The amazing office staff helped me navigate that part. The worst part was the anesthesiologist. He lacked bedside manner, barely humored my nervous son as he was asking questions and telling him about the treat he was getting after surgery. After surgery as my son is crying hysterically coming out of anesthesia and this man had the nerve to verify my phone number and tell me his office will be calling tomorrow to collect his fee of approximately $500. I had no idea that there was another charge outside of the surgery bill and the out of pocket cost I was blindsided with. This anesthesiologist seemed more worried about his money than my son. Very frustrating and disrespectful to an overwhelmed mom. read more

I brought my mom here this morning for an outpatient procedure. I also had my disabled father who is in a wheelchair. There VERY sweet receptionist named SOFIA who is doing intake and taking everyone's temperature as they check in. She overheard me talking to my father about being cold and offered a warm blanket and a smile. So compassionate. II have been trying to get my refund for a surgery last December. EOB was received in February, was told they were requesting a review. Had a screening procedure at parkway surgery center with Dr.Herrero and I just saw a very excellent experience. Check was quick efficient and welcoming by the front desk staff. My checkin nurse, Mayuny was very nice and kept me calm. She got my IV in one shot and accommodated me when I had a request. Dr. Curtis my anesthesiologist gave me the best nap I've had in a while and helped keep me calm with his jokes. All of the OR staff including my assigned nurse Sherry threaten me with dignity and keep me at ease. Lastly my recovery nurse Hazel got me situated quickly but I never felt rushed. She gave me through discharge instructions, procedure notes with pictures and kept checking on me. Dr.Herrero came and visited me after the procedure and gave me a quick run down, answered questions and then told me my next follow up date! Lastly the gentleman who wheel-chaired me out to the car was very nice also. Overall superb medical care from nursing and physicians. read more
