A gentleman at Neverett's just spent 15-20 minutes on the phone walking me through how to gather on my 28 year old serger, even looking up the old manual and directing me step by step. He looked up the presser foot that would make the gathers more ruffled, and wasn't the slightest bit annoyed when, after all that, I didn't want the foot (I'll use my Kenmore to gather). I went in to have my Singer HD repaired and although the owner did introduce me to some very nice repaired second hand machines (in case my machine would not be worth fixing - it was a mess do to being dropped) he repaired it completely when he said it would be ready AND for a very reasonable amount. While in the middle of sewing masks for my two daughter-in-laws who are RN's on the front lines of this Covid pandemic, the sewing machine that was given to me by a friend suddenly jammed up and would no longer run. I was in quite a panic that I wouldn't be able to fulfill the promise I'd made to continue making masks when I was referred to Neverett's Sew & Vac. They were so kind and very professional! Came in around the 4th of July for my Dyson. Asked that they fix it and clean it (I had it cleaned here once before here). Dropped it off and they called me a few days after and told me the problem. They told me that it was under warranty from Dyson so I gave them some more information to file the claim. They did all the leg work with the warranty, all I did was drop it off at the store. When I picked up my vaccume I noticed the handwritten invoice/ticket had all kinds of charges CROSSED OFF thanks to the warranty that I would have never known about if they had not brought it to my attention. I paid a small fee for the cleaning and took my 9 year old vaccume home happy and working super smooth. Very nice, pleasant and honest staff. read more

I have been taking my machines here for tune ups and repair for something like 25 years. I bought my last two machines here (ok, I like sewing machines). I brought friends to buy their machines there! No longer. As a friend also found, I gave them a list of what was wrong. Of the three things, the fixed only one. AND kept it more than twice as long as estimated, and kept repeating the original estimate even long after the time had passed. When I called to discuss this, they gave a widget washy answer, "You dan come in and if the part is in stock we might be able to fix it while you wait, if it needs to be ordered...." and when I tried to find out if I would be at the top of the repair queue....no response. Once upon a time, the owner recognized me and I had my favorite tech, and he knew my old finicky machine and cheered when I replaced it. It's so sad. I drove an hour, to get great service. And now I must write off the cost of this "repair" and find a new sewing machine repair shop. I have 2 stars, since they did fix one thing, and would likely fix the rest if I made a stink. The switch quit working staying in the latched on position. My wife called yesterday and she was going to drop it off today. But due to complications didn't make it. The previous two visits were incredible for a carpet shampooer and another brand of vacuum. Always a pleasure do deal with. And although the are so busy they cant afford the instant repairs while you wait. They are very reasonable in timely repairs. At most 3 days with parts on hand. Suffice it to say that you'll be treated with respect, they know their stuff, and you'll come home happy you went there. After 10 years, my Kirby decided that it didn't need that brush belt to stay attached to the latch and slipped off. Then the suction wasn't quite up to snuff. I called Neverett's and was told, "No problem! We can have that ready for you in 2-3 days. And we'll call you with an estimate before we start on the repairs." True to their word, they had the repair done in 2 days and I picked up on the 3rd. They even gave me a loaner (don't vacuums always break after you put the rug shampoo and cleaner on?!) so I could finish the task I'd started before the Kirby gave up the ghost. Smitty, the front office man, was very upfront and told me before I took the loaner that they'd have to clean out the loaner vacuum since it'd have all the gunk in it from the shampoo, etc. and that was $25. The repairs ended up being $50; a $5 part and $45 labor for refitting the belt, troubleshooting, and repairing. Parking is a very small area right behind the shop. This is good for two reasons. First, it makes loading and unloading your vacuum much easier since there's a back door adjacent to the parking lane. Second, you don't have to put money in a city meter. I'm not one for sewing machines, but if I ever need a new vacuum or decide to take up sewing, I'll be back to Neverett's. Good job, guys! read more

I went into Neverett's needing a very simple part for my Hoover vacuum. They did not have the part, and neither did Hoover, even though it was only a 2017 model. But Neverett's told me that Hoover products have a five year warranty. Without this info, I wouldn't have known what to do with the vacuum, that only needed a silver clasp inside the handle, and probably would have "mickey moused" something myself. They asked me for proof of purchase so when I went to pick up the vacuum, as they said it was ready, I was shocked/surprised to find out that I was receiving a brand new vacuum! Again, without Neverett's knowledge of this, (and 5 stars to Hoover as well), I was able to get a new vacuum, (as I had receipt from my checking account when it was purchased). I will turn to Neverett's for any vacuum needs I may have, in the future. They are honest and "know their stuff". Again, 5 Stars for Neverett's! read more

I was having trouble with my sewing machine (serger) and Neverett's had been recommended for repair. I brought in the machine in early November 2008 because it needed a needle head assembly. Basically this is the structure that holds the needle in place. I was told the repair would take four days and that I could call to check the status. December came and went and in January, I gave them a call. They were waiting for a part and they would call me when the machine was repaired. It is now almost the end of January and still no machine. This is a top of the line Husqvarna Viking Serger. Granted, these guys usually have good prices on sewing machines but I'm dissapointed that I still don't have my machine back after two months. read more

Omg FABULOUS service!!!! I had been putting off a repair for my rechargeable Hoover vacuum for the studio stairs because the only place that could do it was way up in Nashua. I only use pro team vacuums as they are incredibly powerful machines. I run a small cleaning company based out of Chelmsford and Neverett's was referred to me by my supply distributor out in Hollis. I must say- Neverett's DELIVERS! You can tell they're a small family owned business- they take pride in what they do, and they are always on their A game. I'm always told 2-3 days to get my vacuums repaired, and they always complete my services before expected. I enjoy coming here because I know I'll be taken care of with no issues. I have used Neverett's for several years including a motor replacement on my Miele vacuum cleaner and service for a 30+ year old Singer Sewing Machine. They have always provided excellent service at a reasonable price. Today however, I had an experience that was so extraordinary that it compelled me to sit down and write a review. In the middle of a time-sensitive sewing project, my workhorse machine had an issue rendering it unusable. I showed up at Neverett's this morning at 8:00 am praying that they could do a quick repair. The repair technician (John) was just walking in the door and he immediately went to work on my machine and made the repair - I was thrilled!! I was out the door by 8:15.
