I originally left Baron's zero stars with the following comment: -------- I paid hundreds of dollars extra for an extended warranty, and I am now waiting four months for a resolution. The repairman was scheduled to arrive today, and I got a call shortly ago asking me if I had received the part. No one ever told me a part would be shipped to my home, nor would I expect that a repairman would come to my house without the replacement part. I purchased from Baron's because they do their own repairs, but thus far the service gets ZERO STARS. Baron's is not honoring their service agreement, nor would they connect me with the owner. My only recourse is to warn others away from this disreputable company. -------- After giving up on anyone responding, I left harsh but honest reviews in several places. I immediately heard from the person running the repair organization, and he was extremely apologetic. He had 3 parts Fedex'ed to my house and sent out a repairman a day later. If only that were the end of the story. The parts were incorrect, they ordered different parts, and those were also wrong. It was weeks before the problem finally got sorted out, but there were numerous errors and delays both before and during the repair. Perhaps I should add that it was simply a non-working LED in the dispenser that was broken. How hard can that possibly be to order the right replacement part?? I have been a customer for 32 years and have never bought an appliance anywhere else. I bought a high end Bosh dishwasher and also a service plan a while back and was told Baron's would take care of service. Well I had an issue and submitted a service request and was contacted by a third party ( new leaf) who did nothing. I contracted Barons through the website and they did nothing. Over the years I have spent thousands of $$ there and will no longer consider them when I purchase any appliances. I am retired and have time so I am thinking maybe a filing with small claims will get someone there to do something and get this issue resolved. read more

Just to let you know, Barron's appliance repair service sucks at scheduling. They never ask when I want to schedule anything. I just get a voicemail and email saying when the service will occur. Always scheduled for first thing in the morning, an inconvenient time for me. They always schedule me at least four weeks out. If I ask for a more convenient afternoon schedule, I am told it is not possible because their routing does not allow exceptions. The serviceman are good at their job though, but parts availability means I have been waiting months to resolve issues. I cannot recommend this business any more. read more

I recently bought a high end dishwasher after being advised how well it was made, etc by the sales team. Two weeks later it is broken. Two weeks after that the third party warranty provider has yet to find someone to fix the washer. This, after I was told by the salesperson that they do all the repairs. Note multiple emails and calls to that salesperson went unanswered. If you want good customer service go elsewhere. read more

I've been working with Baron's for over 15 years. Unfortunately, I will no longer recommend them. Their customer service has been terrible. Here's the last 2 examples of bad customer service I've encountered - #1 - Purchased a new fridge. It was beeping as soon as it got delivered and plugged in. The beeping was the built-in alarm for an "open door", so it's meant to be irritating. It was weeks and multiple phone calls before it was resolved - Nothing said could speed up the process. We tried several attempts to make the alarm / sensor stop by googling and talking to manufacturer directly. It was loud, especially at night while we were trying to sleep through it. It drove the dog crazy. #2 - I purchased top of the line washer / dryer unit or so I thought. It was highly recommended by the salesperson. After a few months, the unit was leaking and malfunctioning. It was not able to be fixed & had been completely replaced. I was reassured by the manager this was a " bad unit" and promised the new one shouldn't have any issues. A few months after, leaking started again & the motor no longer worked. They replaced the motor. Now about 6 months later the new motor is broken. Repairs & parts seem to take 4-6 weeks to get resolved. I'm in the middle of round 3 of washer dryer issues. Keep in mind during repair phases, you need to be home for the day of the 1st home visit for the repair assessment. Then you need to be home for the day of the actual "repair". The days I spent at the laundromat and lugging bags of clothes in & out of my car; I can't get back. I'm currently waiting for call back from the manager yet again & at this point just begging to just switch it out for a different model. I was just told "Service has all my info" I'm on the schedule for repair in 2 more weeks" They insist it needs to be repaired & they will not give me a credit or do an exchange. Summer activities & starting of school with children without a working washer and dryer is incredibly stressful. I love my kitchen aid dish washer that I bought from Barons Nashua. I am shopping for a new stove , refrigerator, and tower washer and dryer . what a pity I won't be shopping at barons since the store won't deliver to my address at walden pond drive. They want a $ 250 delivery fee for this address. I will be shopping at a store that delivers for free . Barons you lost out for being inflexible . read more

The last two times I purchased appliances here customer service was terrible. My microwave started malfunctioning so I ordered a new one. When it was delivered and installed it also wasn't working so we thought maybe I had an electrical issue. I hired an electrician for $250 to check my system and they found nothing wrong. So I ordered another microwave from Barron's and that one worked fine but I was out $250 because they sold me a defective one. When I asked about recouping any of that fee by discounting the second microwave they said no, but the manager said talk to her next time I make a purchase and she'll help me out. 8 months later I ordered a new cook range and asked her for a discount but she said no. When that appliance was delivered the installers ask where the new electrical cord was. I had no idea I was supposed to supply that because I've never ordered a new stove before and the salesman never said anything about it (although he did talk about some weird conspiracy crap). That led to a mad scramble and a very angry phone call. I'll never use them again. read more

Absolutely agree with all the negative reviews with Baron's major brands. They are the worse I ever ever Delta with. Sales do not know their product and give incorrect information on them. I bought a refrigerator, stove, dish washer & microwave at the same time . Stove was defective right from the start and told me that I do not know how a stove works !! Talk about incompetence, I called the manufacturer who came out after them and told me it was defective. Do not use! They had me buy a no name crap washer and dryer. It croaked early. I had a shit LG fridge from them with a broken condenser that made a hi pitch sound that they denied and made me wait a month for a replacement. Quick sales and don't back up their products. The customer service we received when shopping for a refrigerator was great. Helpful advice and information but no sense of pushing for a sale. We purchased one, the delivery guys were great, and we are happy with the fridge. Then things went above and beyond: we noticed a scratch we hadn't previously noticed at time of delivery. No questions asked, they sent a new door, a guy came and installed it, and there was no charge. AMAZING customer service. Two weeks later, my elderly mother needed a new dryer. We immediately bought it from Baron's and will continue to be a loyal customer - they earned it. read more

Highly disappointed with Baron's Major Brands. Purchased a Bosch dishwasher on their web site that was advertised as "reduced" along with two microwaves for properties we own. Competitively priced for what presented as new, in box products. Our son picked them up without knowing what we purchased and the dishwasher was an out of box item that appeared to have been returned. Upon unwrapping the plastic wrap that they covered it with, noted the outside seal was torn. Spoke with Eli who said that "they would get it resolved" so we installed it. After more than a dozen calls and messages to Eli and others, it became real clear that they have no intention selling a product that they stand behind. What is more frustrating, is that they misrepresented it as simply a discounted item; not the open box damaged item that it was. When you consider this and the awful customer service after the purchase, I would certainly have purchased my appliances from another merchant. Highly disappointed! read more

After being a faithful, long-time customer I had the absolute worse experience with Baron's and will never go back there. If you buy an extended warranty with your appliance purchase good luck because the company they use for service called "Reliable Appliance Repair" NEVER returns their calls. No one ever answers the phone although they give you this BS greeting that someone will return your call in the order it was received. If by a stroke of luck several days later, they do return your call and they leave a message you will NEVER hear back from them again even if you call them multiple times. I spoke with two different salespeople at Baron's in the Plaistow store who sincerely tried to help but obviously they do not even return their calls because the last one I spoke with was nearly two weeks ago when I decided to go right to store and there was zero follow-up which does not surprise me. Unfortunately, recently I took out a five-year $159.00 warranty on a washing machine purchase and now I realize if I ever need service during that covered period, I probably will never get a return phone call! I literally have been buying from them since 1988 (they were called Fletcher's back then). I've tried buying appliances from big box stores and I always get burnt somehow. These people are rude and not very professional...AT ALL! I remember this place used to be called Fletcher's before the name change of its current name of Barron's. I had wondered why they change the name couple years ago. Jeff Coons was rude and demeaning, while not at all trying to build a relationship. His demeanor when I tried to do a return was rude and sarcastic . I will NEVER buy anything at this store. EVER!!! Buyer beware! The paperwork said we had 7 days to return an item purchased. We returned it on day 6. JEFF REFUSED TO REFUND OUR MONEY BUT INSTEAD OFFERED ONLY A CREDIT . There was nothing stated on the paperwork about restocking fees EITHER. Additionally, was told I would be charged 25% for the restocking of an UNOPENED item. Jeff also automatically ASSUMED we had opened the box. (Bad assumption because you know what they say about assuming.) Listen, if it's not in black and white and not in writing, then I'm not paying it!!!! Jeff said he had to check with his manager who wouldn't be in until tomorrow...Ha ha. What a Joke!! HE IS THE MANAGER!! (That's probably why they changed their name a few years ago due to their bad practices and word was getting out.) Barton's deceived me and purposely lured me in with the promise of a rebate they knew I could never receive!! I purchased an entire Kitchen full of appliances GE Cafe ($10,000) at the Barons's store in Nashua in mid-December 2019. They told me I qualified for $1,000 in rebates. What they didn't say is I had to apply by the end of December even though they knew I wasn't getting delivery of the items with the actual serials number I needed to apply until February 2020. They knew that I would not be eligible, but they continued to deceive me to make the sale. read more

BEWARE! I started laughing when I saw a commercial that said Barons had great reviews! Well, Im reading reviews and they ain't great, they are terrible! Well, here is another one! We bought a washing machine. I specifically asked if the installers were competent and I was convinced they could do their job. Well, the installers are the drivers, who don't speak English, and left us with a huge leak! They hooked up the washing machine, but dismantled and broke another pipe that spewed out water randomly! I contacted Jay, who sold me the machine - with NO RESPONSE! He then had the audacity to send an email several days later to rate his performace to give to his boss. Are you kidding me? Do you only work 9 -5 and not respond out of work hours? What kind of professional is this? The answering service was so rude and made me feel like it was my fault there was a leak and then had me diagnose what the issue was and send pictures. What a great Friday night that was! He responded that we should get a plumber! What kind of business leaves you high and dry with a leak that they created!! We weren't leaking before they came, huge leak afterwards - leaked through our floor and into our cellar!! We had to get an emergency service in to fix the leak to a tune of over $600! I've given Barons ample time to give some sort of compensation - with NO RESPONSE. We are so disappointed with their lack of concern and action for the leak that they created and didn't rectify. I have purchased appliances from Barons before and did not have any issues. I spoke to manager a couple days ago and explained that I needed a stove on Fri 12/22/2023 as we had a gas stove and had an installer lined up and had people coming for Xmas Eve. I explained that if they could not have it delivered on Fri I was going to buy a floor return at Home depot. I was told there was no problem and I was on the schedule for Fri. I called late yesterday as I didn't get a call with a time frame, and manager was not there, and salesperson stated we are not on schedule for Frui. Stated we could have it on Sat. Talked to Manager this am and she stated they could not do anything about it. So we did not have an installer and Barons did not have an installer. Ours was not available on Sat, but Fri as planned. Cancelled order. Very disappointed that they did not follow through with what I was promised. And we are hosting Christmas Eve and I had bought a Prime Rib and Ham believing that we would have a working oven for Xmas Eve. Extremely disappointed. Not sure would buy from here again. I purchased a washing machine from Barron's online. I really like that they have customer support available by text messaging. I've never found a company that does that until now. Three men delivered the machine. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They used straps to maneuver the incoming and outgoing machines very carefully. My old house has narrow doorways. I watched them move the machines and they absolutely never touched a wall, piece of furniture, doorway, or railing. They were polite and professional. The Samsung washing machine is the best we've ever used, we are totally happy with it and Barron's. read more

I would give them 1/2 a star or no stars but my $11,000 refrigerator did arrive and Multiple "Extras" became involved, costing us over $1,000 extra! because it had to be re-installed since THEY measured wrong and shoved it in anyway damaging the baseboard and floor while we still got charged. Disastrous mess, and THEY never admitted they measured the space wrong AND never came back to fix the our baseboards or wood floors. Bought all my kitchen appliances and washer/dryer here. Great savings and price matching when I purchased (back in November), although the rebate process was a little bit of a pain. There weren't a lot of models in this particular location for us to check out, so we had to do a lot of research in the "big box" stores before purchasing. And some of the manuals weren't left with the appliances when they were delivered, which was a nuisance. But overall, we are happy and would go back for future appliances. I would advise my family and other customers to shop elsewhere. My elderly parents purchased a Maytag refrigerator from Baron's. The first attempted delivery was a refrigerator that did not work. The second attempted delivery was a refrigerator with fractured pieces in the freezer and with door attached on the wrong side. They succeeded with their third delivery. But based on the above and my interactions with sales persons between the second and third delivery, my and my elderly parents general impression is that their operations are unreliable and unreasonably unprofessional and irresponsible. Especially don't shop here if one has to line up delivery(s) with snow removal or health precautions or work schedules. read more

I ordered and just received a Friedrich wall air condition, cost was approx. $950. The experience from ordering to delivery was nothing short of amazing. Reps were knowledgeable (Carlos), kind, and very accommodating.... delivery was the very best from receiving texts the day before with assigned time, to being able to see your truck moving along to your house on-route with the gps tracker. Delivery personnel were great. I would give Barons my highest rating, they are awesome!!! ...and will use them from now on. :) read more

We bought a washer and dryer from Barons 4 years ago. We also bought a floor model of a dishwasher which was shipped incompletely. Getting back to our washer. We placed a service call. They came out a week later. Three parts were ordered and took a few weeks to deliver to our room. I get delays due to supply chain issues. They came out, once parts arrived. The washer worked correctly for a few days and then did not. Put another service call in and had to wait a few weeks. We were out of town and were also told they come to our town only on Mondays. They came back, after yet another part was ordered and tried to fix it again. They said it was the pump this time. Why the pump was not checked at the 1st visit don't know. So, yet another part is on order now. New pump. I guess they are coming back for a third visit in late March. They didn't seem to care about our service. I know they outsource their service department but it's not been great at all. I'm disgusted. The tech also forgets to bring a pad and pencil and has to get information from the manufacturer. Keep one in your workcase. It also helps to try and assuage your upset customer but maybe Reliant doesn't get it. They. Don't. Care. I'm disgusted with their service. It's been 2 months and still not fixed. Hoping it'll be fixed on the 3rd time. It's under warranty though. Never buying from Barons again. Rant over read more

Shameful. That is the one word description. They outsource all of their repair service and deliveries. The outsourced people are an incredible combination of rude, condescending, and just plain stupid. When there is an issue with service or delivery the sales people essentially throw their hands up in defeat. So, don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews. These people haven't needed service and/or had a problem. You are better off going to Home Depot or Best Buy as they do an exponentially better job managing their subcontractors and outsourcers and they take ownership of issues. Essentially diametric to Barons. In fact, my experience isn't one issue. Its been every issue I have had with them. I own 4 different appliances from them, because I was lulled into thinking they were a good company - until something went wrong.. Don't be fooled like me. Take your business elsewhere. read more

We were purchasing new appliances for the clubhouse where I'm one of the community volunteer directors - so of course price was important to us. I've bought appliances from Home Depot and Lowe's - usually a mixed result but there are only a few options - them plus BestBuy and Baron's. While I am not a fan of their website (it loads VERY slowly) not only did they offer very competitive pricing, they also made ordering online is very easy. But the best part is they CALL YOU to confirm what you're ordering. Because of supply chain, appliances are in short supply, but they were able to get two of the three items we needed and gave me a reasonable date for the last one. While we could have possibly gotten that elsewhere, it would have cost more and they had already impressed us with their personal service. I'm sorry to read about folks having service issues, but frankly that's not Baron's fault - no third party service is very good these days, combination of folks out sick, no parts, and high-tech equipment. I think for an appliance retailer, someone else said it best - if you live in NH, you'd be crazy to go anywhere other than Baron's. read more

Why can't sales people just be respectful? I went to Baron's because the unpleasant guy at Riverbend told me he thought my kitchen cabinets were low end. I go to Baron's (despite the reviews) and when trying to buy a refrigerator from them, the guy tells me he thinks my oven and microwave are no good. Maybe he's trying to make an additional sale but I see that the high end brand I did buy elsewhere is not in available their store, so what he thought was a sales tactic is what I thought of as rude so I bought my refrigerator from Cocoplum. read more

I came here today around 2pm looking for a washing machine. There were only 2 employees working who were both talking to other customers and no one greeted us when we came in. We waited for about 15 minutes with no one even bothering to come up or say "we will be right with you." So we left and went elsewhere. If the customer service is this bad before they even make a sale, I can't imagine what it's like after you buy an appliance. read more

Spoke with the manager of the Nashua location. He told me I would be credited $100 for the rebate that was lost. I called 2 weeks after this conversation since I had not been credited yet. Manager sounded surprised and said it was probably my bank and said he would look into it. Now 3 weeks later and still no credit. read more

We had an absolutely horrible experience at Baron's. We read all the negative reviews but Baron's said they could order and get the appliance(refrigerator) we were looking for. We had to pay full price to get the order placed. Appliance did not arrive by date expected. For the next SIX WEEKS the salesman lied to us about when and where our fridge was and one time virtually hung up on me. After a while I got suspicious about his stories and located and contacted Baron's corporate headquarters. I explained what had happened and they checked and confirmed that the salesman was not telling us the truth about our appliance's availability and confirmed that it had not even been shipped yet and wouldn't be for some time. Fortunately we were able to cancel the order and get a 100% refund. We found another appliance business in Milford, Brennan & Mackay, and went there. We had an absolutely Great buying experience there and our fridge is now delivered and in our kitchen. And, their 5 year parts and labor warranty was 50% less than Baron's and they service the appliances they sell. So, believe the negative Baron's reviews and don't waste your time going there. read more
