This is an amazing place. I seen a few mexican ice cream shops open up and this one caught my attention. I couldn't decide what to eat was the biggest problem, everything look so good. I ended up getting one of their made from scratch waffles with Nutella and scoop of ice cream. I've never had anything so good and the food looked so amazing. The presentation was amazing, I didn't want to eat it but just stare at it. My waffle cane with a cup of coffee and it was perfect straight black if your into drinking medium roast coffee. Tried Neveria for the first time recently after looking at it for quite some time. The treats were fantastic. I know it's been open for a while, but that kitchen looked as clean as the day all of the appliances and surfaces were purchased. It was amazing. I've been in 1 Michelin-starred restaurants that would be envious of the completely tip-top shape. I don't normally comment on this area, but it was very notable - and the treats were still fantastic. I'm going through cancer treatments and have to be extra careful some days. What an incredible find! Tucked away in a little corner of a non-descript outdoor "shopping center," Quebec Square (sandwiched between North Park Hill and Stapleton) is Neveria La Mexicana. We ventured in over the weekend, seeking something different than your run-of-the-mill Coldstone or other well-known ice cream shops. NLM did NOT disappoint! The service was excellent: prompt and helpful. The portions were gigantic and the price tag had me doing a double take--because it was so, um, cheap? What isn't cheap is the quality of the goods there. The Oreo ice cream is outstanding, and when paired with the unique banana/Nutella ice cream, it may just be the best never-thought-of-before combination in the history of ice cream. Most of the ice cream is delicious. Sometimes there are too many similar flavors. My husband always wants to try a bunch of flavors before he decides and the ladies behind the counter are always patient. Most of the flavors are great, but there are some misses. Example was the salted caramel that was so salty we couldn't eat it. Also, we usually have to wipe off our own table, which is hard to do with the little napkins. read more

Had seen this place on my local Home Depot runs. As my boyfriend is trying to taste the ice cream shops all over Denver we put this on our list. Finally, during one of the unbearably hot summer evenings we zoomed over to try this place out. I can't remember most of what we tried except for one flavor which was the standout....drumroll please... The Horchata!! So good. Tasted just like the drink and helped cool us off on that hot summer evening. My boyfriend STILL talks about that flavor. I really like this place. The kitchen area is very open and you can see everything. The first thing I noticed is how bright and clean everything is. Also everything is basically made in house. This place has Mexican desserts and snacks but my friend and I only tried two of the desserts. We shared a chamango and a tamarind ice slushee type dessert. The chamango has chamoy sauce which we weren't used to so if you don't know what it is, you should try it before you order. I recommend you ask for less chamoy sauce if it's your first time because it's kind of an acquired taste. The more I ate the chamango, the more it started to grow on me. The service was great! Wow. I mean, really? This place is being way too overhyped. The aesthetic is pretty decent but that's pretty standard at any good Mexican ice cream place. My experience here has varied from "eh" to "are you kidding me?" Let me start off by saying I was rooting for this business to flourish. But this is more than simply growing pains. First of all, their ice cream selection is really limited. I've been to other Mexican shops where the selection is better and greater. If I want a more flavorful and larger serving sized ice cream treats at cheaper prices I go to my local place or someplace on Colfax. So I don't go here for their ice cream. I go here because their Chamoyadas and other iced drinks are decently priced and it's proximity to where I shop. But jfc, their service is so slow (at a snails pace) and the lack of professionalism is stunning. On a good day it still takes longer than expected from the moment they take my order to getting the hell out. Don't come here if you expect a quick visit. The last time I went it took 30 minutes with 4 workers behind the counter. The people in front of me didn't order the whole menu, it was a lack of work ethic, but I'll give a pass to those who seemed to be learning on the job. However, I had the unfortunate luck to be there at the same time as a cousin of the manager and her friends. The relation to the manager is totally based on their loud ass conversation. It was amazing just how distracted the manager quickly became. Even the male workers that the pair came in to thirst over barely glanced their way and focused on their damn job. If the manager wasn't part of the conversation in some moments she was avidly listening in, constantly looking up at them and waiting for an opening to pipe in with some comment. I don't mind social interaction between people who are friends or whatever but when you focus more on that rather than getting orders out in a decent time frame when you have a long ass line, it's gonna look pretty shitty. I only stayed because I was there to get someone else's food or else I would've quickly cut my losses. But the cherry on top was when I went to pay. The cousin who must've been a high schooler with the maturity level of a 12 yr old suddenly sat next to her as I paid and made an odd comment at my order, saying she hoped I dropped it. Was that supposed to be a joke? Wtf? Did the manager correct her? Nah, she chose to whisper in her ear and smile, which call me paranoid but after speaking in an annoying loud voice this whole time, I'm going to get a bit suspicious. I didn't do anything to warrant such disrespect so I don't get the pettiness or hostility. At this point I'm done hoping it'll change and would rather pay more somewhere else for better service and professionalism. Hell, I'm gonna buy some chamoy sauce and mix that shit in with mango sorbet or frozen fruit. Boom! No hassle, no disrespect, still the same taste. read more

This place is delicious! Their paletas look amazing and you can tell they are made there. We tried an escamocha, mamey ice cream, mango (ice cream?) And elotes en vaso. The escamocha was amazing, it was packed with fresh fruit, the sauce was delicious, they let you pick your flavor of ice cream and get to chose between a granola, nut or coconut topping. The mamey ice cream was delicious, and creamy. Honestly I didn't know what mamey was, my son wanted it because of its color but it was really good. The elotes en vaso are SO GOOD. They aren't canned like most places and are really flavorful. I really enjoyed them. Their small size is also significantly bigger than most "smalls". And last but certainly not least was the mango flavor. Its not really ice cream. More like a sorbet/sherbet. It was AMAZING. The mango flavor is strong and delicious! Plenty of fruit sorbets, as well as custom popsicles complement the unique selection of ice cream. We had the mint oreo (excellent!), Superman (give it a try), and Tequila Chocolate Chip (I already want more). The service was brisk and prices very reasonable. Already went back Sunday for a second round... and ended up taking a pint home for only $2 (they were offering a special for National Ice Cream Day)!
