OLT mac-n-cheese- comfort food with the creamy light cheese sauce, bacon and grilled chicken.
    Heather O.

Tonite was a very packed night for this little local pub. Upstairs and down was packed with only 1 server and bartender on staff. Our server did everything she could with also waiting on other tables and a 30 top party by herself. Spicy stack- decent burger, little over done- spicy mayo was good and helped with the burger, onion rings were crispy. OLT mac-n-cheese- creamy, Light cheese sauce, noodles were good with a little crunch to the top layer that added a great texture. Chicken was grilled and held in the geill flavor with a little hint charred spices. Our go to spot - food was still good, hopefully the management will staff better to help lut the girls.

Had dinner at the New Albany Tavern. The service was very good. They had a Tuesday special of $2 off tequila drinks. Ordered a margarita and pretzel and beer cheese. The beer cheese was the typical Kentucky cold beer cheese. It was very good but pretzel was in a butter and garlic sauce which was a tad too heavy for the beer cheese. I ordered the rosemary roast beef sandwich and my wife did the fish and chips. The tartare sauce for the fish was nicely done with dill. Everything was served very hot and was good. Fries could have beef a little more crispy but still good.

Tavern always seems to be full of customers which is so great to see for a New Albany spot. The menu has a little bit of everything and seems to be good "bar food". Apparently, there is a bit of a secret menu that consist of poplar past specials that you can still order. That is how we ended up the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese! It's a great little comfort food and cozy vibe place for dinner. The service staff is working double time to keep up, but we did end up having to wait at the table awhile to be greeted and then before she could grab our drinks. It would be great to see a few more servers to keep up so it stays a popular spot.

New Albany Tavern understood the assignment. Great service, really good bar food, and strong cocktails. The chicken tenders are thick, juicy, and insanely crispy with legit dipping sauces. Wings are solid. The Caesar salad? Yes, please... blackened chicken with house made dressing! Also, great daily specials Very happy this is in my backyard. I'll be back.

Really enjoyable pub experience with wicked tasty food! We chose our own seats in the bar and had a little wait for drinks but they were busy. After the server got to us no complaints! It wasn't too loud with the game on but definitely a pub vibe. We started with the $1/per wings as the app, really well cooked and the ranch was delicious! We shared the fish and chips (nice big portion!) and they were delightful. The onion rings were not my favorite but I'm a bit of an onion ring snob ‍ I also had the lemonita to drink which was basically a large lemon drop. Very good!

Just as good as the other locations, this one had a great set of burger options, the "Danfredo" which is a personal favorite but this time I opted for the Knocker Burger, which is a traditional style burger but it's super juicy, done to your specifications, with standard trimmings, but the patty is flavorful and the bun is just firm enough to hold everything together but not so much that it detracts from the flavors or textures of the other ingredients. Solid choice paired with fries, and the portobello fries as an appetizer were worth it. They were lightly breaded and fried just right. Solid choice in New Albany, and this restaurant group also owns a few others and they are all managed well. Looking forward to a return visit! Get the espresso martini if you like chocolate cake, mochas, or chocolate in general!

Although an extension of the Tavern pubs in Louisville, I can't help but compare New Albany Tavern to the predecessor at this same location. The new look is cleaner and less cluttered, but the layout is the same. There are booths to the left and bar stools to the right. Large doors at the front open up to let in the pleasant fall air and sunshine. Stairs at the back go upstairs to more seating and a private party area when reserved. I love that the new concept has table service. I always found that an issue previously. Service was prompt and helpful. No issues here at all. The menu is full of pretty standard, but well-executed pub fare. I really enjoyed the Knocker Burger with fries. Exactly what I wanted today! There's a full draft menu. I was surprised by the variety of cocktails on the menu and look forward to trying some of those in the future! Overall, a great experience and I'm thrilled that there's a new spot in downtown!

Second stop on our Burgers on the Bricks tour. Again we were greeted by friendly staff as soon as we walked in the door. The restaurant was warm and inviting with a large window view. We had the Double Decker burger with provolone, Swiss and grilled onions and the garlic truffle fries. The burger was massive and juicy. The fries were coated in a delicious Parmesan garlic. We enjoyed our food.

    Railroad Smoker Mac N' Cheese

I'm giving this place 5 stars because I've had their stuff over in Louisville and love it, plus the service for the new New Albany location was very good. I got the Railroad smoker Mac and cheese, which I was excited about but didn't love this. It has corizo and blackened chicken on it but the chorizo was very minimal and the chicken was hard to find as well as it was mixed in with the macaroni, plus I'm not sure it was seasoned with the blackened seasoning. I know this is a personal taste thing so I didn't want to hurt a local business and instead am excited to try the other menu items... or go back to the sliders that I already know are killer! This is a great new spot in Indiana, so give it a shot.

She was very friendly and was not hesitant to make jokes to keep the good vibes! The restaurant opens the side doors to let fresh air in on a sunny day which is amazing if you don't want to sweat in the sun but still want to feel a nice breeze. The sliders were amazing, the chicken was not dry which is common in bar food places. The concept of every bread being rolls gives the hot dog an extra security when picking it up. Really excited to go back when the days are warmer and can enjoy the patio section!

Even before we were seated, I noticed a server wearing a green bandanna speaking to another employee, who we later learned was the manager on duty, in a way that seemed unprofessional and unfriendly. After we were seated, my wife asked if we could move because she was cold. We then waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. When our server finally arrived, she acted like she didn't want to be there. My wife asked for a recommendation, but the response was vague and unhelpful. Our drink order was wrong. My wife and I ordered waters, and our son ordered a Sprite, but we received two lemonades and one water instead. After taking our order, our server disappeared. She never brought our food, checked on us, asked if we needed refills, or stopped by the table again. The manager walked past our table several times but never seemed interested in checking on our experience. The biggest issue was my son's meal. He ordered chicken sliders with the sauce on the side, but they arrived covered in sauce. Another employee took the meal back to be remade, but it came back wrong a second time. By then, my wife and I had already finished eating, and our son had been waiting nearly an hour without a proper meal. When I spoke with the manager, I asked that my son's meal be removed from the bill. Instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, the manager offered excuses rather than solutions. Mistakes can happen, but it's how they're handled that matters. Unfortunately, the customer service from both our server and the manager was disappointing. We left frustrated, and based on this experience, we will not be returning to this location.
