Again after a bit of a while, we are back to one of our favorites "Harry's Taphouse" on the River. Again I can't say enough for this place. The service is top notch. Brezzie ( sp ) was our waitress; she was totally spot on with everything. The setting was again awesome with a nice day over looking the river, the Louisville skyline and the bridges. Walking bridge was busy. Drinks were ordered and food orders placed. I had aside salad that was fresh, crisp,nicely crafted and tasty. Along with that I had the dry rubbed wings. So good and nice portion. My wife had the Reuben which was new for her (use). It was very, very good and well put together. I'm not a big Reuben person but I tasted it and it was very good! And when Breezie was busy another waitress perfectly slipped in to keep us well served. Their training is spot on. In my opinion this location probably has some of the best trained staff in the Clark County area. Not that others a bad this place just feels like a step up. We love Harry's taphouse in Jeff! The perfect spot for a week night dinner with friends. There are plenty of tables and servers so we never have a to wait on a week day. Some nights have live music but we like to go to watch games since there are TVs all over. Lexee, our server, was fantastic. We will ask for her when we go to Harry's from now on. I came on a Sunday evening an hour before they closed. The waitress was so inpatient and not personable. She literally brought the check and took my chips while I was actively eating them. And to top it all off, they started playing "Closing Time" song right after 10 pm which we were almost done. Wtf. Horrible. And I send people here all the time. Not anymore. Not to mention she was so obtrusive with putting chairs on tables and throwing table menus on the table beside us the whole time we were eating. Located on the river in "Restaurant Row" in Indiana, this was recommended to us by several people for the wings and salad! We were greeted right upon entering and it is open seating. The restaurant is open air, so there were some flying "friends" hanging out, but it wasn't too bad. We got salad, a drink, and wings. Everything was delicious! The food here is great and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is a taphouse/pub atmosphere with lots of big screens everywhere. We sat on the patio because the weather was mild. It was crowded and seemed louder inside, however it was also very loud outside. We had come to eat good food but also to catch up among friends, so it was a little hard because we had to talk really loud to hear each other. Back to the food...it's mostly typical pub fare, burgers, sandwiches, fries and a lot of starters. We chose the pretzel and beer cheese. It was served as loaves with a knife to slice, and the beer cheese in a cup. It was delicious. We ordered a variety of sandwiches, and one ordered a wedge salad. The salad was actually 3 wedges so it was massive. She ordered it with the blue cheese and balsamic, and said it was very tasty. Another ordered the fish sandwich which was also huge, I think she could only eat a third of it. We all loved the seasoned fries, which had the perfect crispness. Everything tasted fresh and made from scratch. I ordered the Santa Fe wrap (tip: it was good, but I would order without the red onions, they were so strong, they dominated the whole thing--they may not have soaked them beforehand.) Next time we're tempted to try some of the other starters, there were so many that looked good. We saw several people order the buffalo chicken egg rolls, which sounded tasty. we walked the Big Four Bridge, walked along the riverfront in Jeffersonville and ended up at Harry's for an appetizer. Neither of us were thrilled with the appetizer offerings but decided on an order of French Fries and the Honey Brussel Sprouts. Both were excellent. A huge basket of fries (we could not eat them all) served piping hot We opted for the no seasoning option. The sprouts were also served piping hot, the honey glaze was sweet and they too were cooked to perfection. Parking lot and on street parking, great views of the river and our server was super sweet and efficient and prices were reasonable. We will go again. Nothing fancy, but worth the visit. read more

I'll be glad when the Spicy Margarita is back on the menu. Not all the bartenders know how to make it. One of the reasons I come to this bar for it. Didn't care for the service of the two young ladies behind the bar ~ 4:20 pm on a Wednesday thankfully a young man Jason made my drink and was nice enough to make my drink in the glass that I preferred. Harry's Tap House in Jeffersonville is a fantastic spot to unwind after a walk across the Big Four Bridge. The open-air patio is perfect for soaking in fresh river breezes and great views of the Ohio River and the riverfront concert venue right across the street. Service was quick and attentive, which made the visit even better. I grabbed some buffalo chicken eggrolls -- okay but thin I'd prefer it as just a dip. The eggroll form just didn't quite hit the mark. Still, this place is awesome for catching the Louisville skyline, and I'm sure would be great for Thunder Over Louisville fireworks, or the Great Boat Race. read more

Went back to Harry's for their Happy Hour and the service was so much better this time! Our server was so nice and seemed happy to be there. We got the $2.50 cans of domestic beers and got the Buffalo Chicken Rolls and the Pretzel with beer cheese appetizers. Both were really good! One of the best beer cheeses I've had. We walked over from L'ville and had a lovely lunch on the porch overlooking the river. The food was great, the cocktails were delicious, and the service was outstanding. Our server deserves 6 stars for friendliness and introducing us to Jeffersonville! We returned later when one of our party became unwell - they welcomed us back, gave us a table and juice for her at no charge, and let us wait until she felt better. Food was amazing! I can't recommend the firecracker shrimp enough, and it's a large portion. I have yet to dig into the bluegrass chicken sandwich but it comes with bacon, bbq, and the garden. You'd be surprised, but this is a very good place for very good food. I am a vegetarian and always on the lookout for good vegetarian meals. Whether they are on the menu or customizable in the kitchen. Harry's stop house does a great job customizing their chicken wrap with with buffalo cauliflower for me. It is my comfort food and I try to get it at least once a week with the extra crispy seasoned fries. There has to be a side of ranch and honey mustard to make it a full meal. That makes me happy. The server. Paula is amazing and the sweetest and she now knows me by name every time I place my order since I go for my staple buffalo cauliflower wrap. With so many 5 star reviews I had such high hopes for Harry's. And, in fairness, several things are 5 star worthy. Portions are huge. Service is cheerful and Johnny on the spot. Thanks Anita. The restrooms are clean. But here's where things went south. Our first order of onion rings came out cold. We asked for another order. This time right out of the fryer. These rings were hot & crispy. My burger was very good. Served medium, as requested with a large serving of crispy fries. My wife fared less well. Her chicken breast was tough. Overcooked. Dry. Probably in the freezer too long. Her side of Brussels sprouts was undercooked. And to add insult to injury, a Taphouse should never serve lukewarm beer. Oh, and did I mention their AC wasn't cooling the dining area? Harry's has room to improve. Just stick with the burgers & fries and you'll enjoy your meal. read more

Downgrading my previous 5 star rating. I've been here several times over the past few years, the service and ambiance are great, right on the water. Although the food is still good, it doesn't compare to the last time I visited a few months ago. They have noticeably made the portions significantly smaller as well. The Philly cheesesteak had always been my go-to, but the sandwich is a little more than half the previous size I remember with less meat and peppers etc., but the au jus was a nice touch. The Brussels sprouts have good flavor at first, but overbearing on the honey makes them a little too sweet. Im sad to say that I'll be looking for a new go to restaurant in Jeffersonville. We finally landed in Louisville and we were starving. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We had the Buffalo chicken egg rolls for starters. The egg rolls were large in size and stuffed. We ordered wings and the smokehouse burger for our entree which were both delicious. The burger was HUGE. The server was great and very attentive (I forgot her name). She made sure to go above and beyond The restaurant sits right on the Riverwalk. This is my first visit to Harry's. A friend recommended it so I told him I would treat him for a service he did for me. Amanda is our friendly server. We both ordered water. I then ordered a Philly cheese steak with extra crispy fries. I was going to order us some beer battered onion rings until my friend ordered the fish and chips, but switched fries for onion rings.
