So unfair if I could give them 0 stars I would.... Originally I didn't plan on going to this salon but the one next door was closed and I was pressed for time. NEVER AGAIN.... First when I went in I ask for French manicure gel tips I was told $43... then $48 fine....So when I saw her start using the white acrylic I asked her if it was possible to use the pink for the French..... She then starts telling me no no French is $58 dollars ...... so I said no thanks ..( at that point too many prices are being quoted to me and it seemed like she's just making it up now and I'm starting to get annoyed). Today was my final day here at New Ann's. Their customer service was always nonexistent, but this broke the camel's back. I came in for a pedicure and acrylic tips; I was first directed to the pedicure station where I enjoyed the massage chair pounding my stresses away. That all soon changed when the new technician was vigorously using the scraper beyond my heels and onto my skin! I literally had on band-aids after the pedicure because I was bleeding! What infuriated me even more? The technician confidently wrote up the full price of the service - for making my feet look worse than they were when I first arrived and no one could understand why this made me so upset. With the amount of traffic in this place you would think that they'd make it look nicer, sheesh. It's a regular hood spot that does nails but it's ALWAYS crowded due it's location. Since I was pissed off that a technician at my usual nail place nicked my nail the last time I got a filling, I decided to stop here on my way home from the city. I was going to stop somewhere in Manhattan but these Brooklyn prices thouggghhh....... Anyway, I got an acrylic fill and my technician worked really fast. I mean, super freaking fast. She was also very precise which I appreciate. The job was only $15 so I can't complain but I don't think I will be a regular because the place just looks messy. I got an acrylic fill and pedicure. Everyone was really nice and I was in and out quickly. I went early on a Saturday morning, a little after 10 am and it was pretty empty. It started to get busy when I was leaving. The place was pretty clean and both the women that helped me did a good job with my nails and feet. I went out on a Saturday to get my nails done. I went to my regular place. It was way too crowded. Went to the nail shop next door to here (I got a decent mani pedi there before) only to find the same situation. So I went inside to see a mostly empty salon. That was my first mistake. There was a reason no one was in there. Long story short I had to practically force the lady who did my feet to do her job. She scraped the bottom of my feet twice and put the tool down. Then another lady took the nail file that was just used on my feet on some woman's hands. Then another girl in the salon complained about her nails, they looked gross, and the manager put the woman's hand in front of my face and asked my opinion. They recently changed management or something because this used to be my go to! The nail technician I had couldn't even paint my nails. I made her redo them three times and each time she left bubbles and streaks! Then she gave me lopsided eyebrows so that I looked like I smelled what the Rock is cooking. First I would like to say that is the most dirtiest nail salon in Brooklyn . The nail salon is very dirty and nasty looking with garbage everywhere . They do not clean the location or sanitize their machines. I came here one night to get a fill in and the lady who did my nails was Absoloutley rude and aggressive. She cut me three times with the manchine and now my finger is swollen and infected. She didn't even apologize then got mad that I didn't give her tip. I do not care who you are but I do not tip for bad service. The lady who did my nails sits all the back next to the shorter younger girl . She cut me with the nail machine and now my finger been swollen for 6 days and my cuticles turned white . Never again will I come here , thanks to this lady I have infection in my finger . So it was my first going to this nail salon. First I have this place smells like a chines food restaurant, which is odd for a nail salon to be smelling like fried rice of some sort. I came in to get a acrylic filling and gel polish. They had a bad selection of gel colors to choose from, and did not really get a color I actually like, because they were obviously so cheap to actually get decent nail brand gel colors. The lady who did my nails was also horrible. She was rushing while filling my nails and stabbed me a couple of times. And when applying the gel color to my nails, she wouldn't even let me fully dry my nails under the UV light, I touched my nails a felt it was not fully dry. Every time I would try to keep my nails under the UV light, she would pull my hand out. She was completely and disrespectful. She made me pay before hand before applying the gel polish, which I usually don't do in other places. Other nail salons always ask for a customer to pay afterwords. If I did not pay before hand, I would have not paid the lady at all, for the bad customer service, and for her lack of skills. If I could give this review a negative star I would. Also, the salon is bigger than most, but so sloppy and dirty. I would not go to petty salon, and I plan on reporting them on BBS. They suck and don't waste your money at this place. That's why this place got more bad reviews than good, because it that bad. I tired to complain to a manger when I asked to speak to a manager, and they said they don't have a manger '_' What place don't have a manger?
