I received many compliments on my lashes over the years, which is why I remained a loyal client for so long. I also want to acknowledge that the salon itself is beautiful. The space is clean, well-maintained, & thoughtfully decorated. The atmosphere is relaxing, the blankets are comfortable, & I appreciated the Christian music and R&B that often played during appointments. It was easy to relax & even fall asleep while getting my lashes done. One issue I experienced involved excessive lash fallout shortly after an appointment. When I brought it to their attention, I felt there was an initial attempt to place the blame on me. During that same situation, I was encouraged to book a full set despite having recently received one & was asked to return the following day to complete the service. While the issue was eventually resolved professionally, the experience left me feeling frustrated & undervalued as a client. Over time, I realized that something always felt off in the overall client experience. I'm not expecting friendship from someone providing a service, but with personal services like lashes, waxing, nails, or massages, clients naturally develop a level of comfort & familiarity. Although there were moments where they were kind, I often felt more tolerated than genuinely appreciated despite my continued support of the business. There were also several moments where communication & rescheduling felt unnecessarily difficult. One interaction that stood out was being placed on hold for over 15 minutes. While on hold, I called from another number & the call was answered immediately. The reaction once realizing it was me made the interaction feel uncomfortable. I also invited them to participate in a volunteer empowerment event for young girls because I believed they could be positive role models & demonstrate what entrepreneurship & success in the community can look like. I viewed it as an opportunity to give back & encourage young girls to see successful women who looked like them pursuing their goals & building businesses of their own. While I fully respect everyone's right to value their time & services, a last-minute disagreement regarding compensation ultimately led us to withdraw the invitation. The situation reinforced some of the concerns I already had regarding communication & professionalism. Looking back, I realize I focused heavily on the quality of the work while overlooking how the overall experience made me feel as a client. The lashes were beautiful, & I still believe both women are highly skilled. However, over time I learned that talent alone is not enough for me personally. Professionalism, communication, & making clients feel genuinely welcomed matter just as much as the final result. If your priority is solely the lash work itself, you may have a positive experience. They enforced mask wearing in the office and even asked people to wait outside when the office became too crowded, which was MUCH appreciated. I had to wait ~30 minutes. That would've sucked back in 2010, but in 2020, it's actually not all that bad. Still, the awesome staff more than made up for the waiting. The exam room was clean and well-lit. My dermatologist was Frances Cukierwar, who is definitely a 5-star dermatologist. Frances is a PA (Physician's Assistant), but I was going for a yearly full body dermatological scan and to check out a small growth I had on my thigh, and a PA is more than 100% fully qualified for that. She was very professional, competent, and instilled confidence in me, which is important for any doctor (we don't want to lack confidence in our healthcare provider, right?). My normal dermatologist in near my office in Midtown, but due to COVID-19, I'm working from home until a vaccine comes out, and honestly, Frances has my full trust. I wouldn't hesitate to go to her again. In fact, I think she's more competent than the dermatologist I normally go to near my Manhattan office. I don't hesitate giving this practice 5 stars even for one moment. I'm so glad I ignored the bad reviews!

I've been seeing Natalya for facials and laser treatment for over a month now and my experience with her has been wonderful. She is an excellent cosmetologist and a very caring person. In addition to facials and laser treatment, she has also provided me products specifically for my skin and instructions on how to properly clean my face every morning and night. She also checks in on me every day to ensure that I am following the steps properly and to adjust my facial cleansing routine depending on how my skin responds to certain products and/or lifestyle changes. I've never worked with a cosmetologist (or even a dermatologist for that matter) who has been more thorough and effective at improving my skin and educating me on how to properly care for my skin on my own. Just last weekend, I got a 60-minute massage and a 30-minute foot massage and it was everything I needed. The music is tranquil and the vibe is chill! The only two issues I have is the rooms are not private as the walls don't go to the ceiling and there is no door to the room, only a sheet. The folks that work there can be heard in the back talking among themselves, which doesn't always provide a relaxing atmosphere.
