As both of us were not feeling well, we stayed home for Christmas. I ordered pick up from Lucky Wok in Aston. I had not eaten here before. It was really great! I am usually very critical about the flavor and quality, but their food was truly great. I ordered the chicken sticks which were tasty and meaty. I also ordered spring rolls that were delicious. For the main entree, I got the hunan chicken. Sooooooo great. My total order was under $26.00 and provably 2-3 servings for me. If you are looking for Chinese, try Lucky Wok. read more

I get takeout from these people a lot. The owner recognizes my phone number at this point and remembers what food I usually get. I'm picky. Sometimes I have them altered the ingredients on the fried rice and stuff like that. They are very accommodating. Friendly reasonably priced. Good food. My favorite thing or the pan fried dumplings. They make them in the house not frozen. They have gravy in the dumplings. Very unique not something I've encountered before. They are so good crispy on the outside. Moist and delicious on the inside. They give you dipping sauce, but I don't ever use it. They also have good chicken. read more

My mom and I stopped in here recently for some take-out. It was my first time getting food from here, and we had a big order, so we just decided to order/pick it up at the restaurant (vs. delivery) and sit and wait. Well, that may be okay in the summertime, but it's definitely not the best idea in the winter - it was COLD in there, boy. Whew! My mom and I almost had to go back out to the car and wait. Climate of the restaurant aside, the food was actually pretty good and came out in about 15 minutes or so, so we were happy. And we maxed out the heat in the car on the way home. I'm baffled by some of the bad reviews of this place. I'm from Philadelphia and just recently moved to the area. I've eaten at a ton of Chinese takeout places before and this place has the most exceptional Chinese food I've ever had and it's not even close. It's also very reasonably priced. I'm not looking for ambiance for Chinese takeout. I actually only downloaded this app to give this place the recognition they deserve. I can't wait to order from here again. 3 or 4 stars depending on what you get. Yes, you can eat there but there is zero atmosphere - so we get it as take-out. My vegan kid likes the vegetable lo mein (no egg). A little greasy, inexpensive - reminds us of the take out Chinese we used to get in Brooklyn. No frills, no issues. Is it the most amazing food ever? Heck no, but it is cheap, fast and tasty and once in a while we will come here. Counter-man/Manager is always kind to us - never had a problem with service. read more

I placed a delivery. any other time they ask how may i want to pay? remember this . so i call and they take my order and asks me to hold on for abt 5 mins, which i didn't mind. but when i asked for soy sauce and chopsticks in the bag he scoffed and said "what the f***" and hung up. so they still bring the food to my house i told the delivery guy i dont want my food. an hour later a lady calls me cursing me out calling me a joke and i told her no one asked how i wanted to pay and before i could even ask. and yes i used profanity . why would i want to eat from someones who's disrespectful and rude. Probably the best of the Chinese offerings in the area. Food is consistently good and portions are huge. Phone ordering can be a challenge when they get busy but they've never screwed up my order. (I usually order in person when I hit the gym, which is a couple doors down. They're pretty good about me placing an order and saying, "I'll be done with my workout in an hour, so it should be ready then.") No real surprises among the menu items but dumplings are in a huge portion for a fair price, and a large order of anything will feed a couple of people (or one person for a couple of meals). Large Beef and Broccoli plus an order of dumplings is enough for me and my kid, plus leaves a small portion for her lunch the next day. read more

Since I actually live in the delivery radius I decided to give this place a try and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered Kung Pao chicken and it was delicious! It could have been spicier so if you are one who likes it hot, I recommend asking for a side of hot oil to add to it. We also ordered General Tou's and that one was very good too. Both came with delicious fried rice. As sides we also got hot and sour soup, egg rolls, and steamed dumpling. Everything was delivered super hot. We were pleased with how quickly it arrived. I would say about 25 minutes. Ordering was easy and we were able to pay over the phone. Since that original order we have called and had delivery 3 more times. I would say the customer service, prompt delivery, quality of the food, and ease of ordering makes this my go-to Chinese take out for Aston! read more

This was the first time ordering from this restaurant. We walked in and ordered from the woman who was working there. We ordered a good amount of food and noticed that she didn't write anything down. After taking our order she just walked away. She didn't say anything so we were standing there not knowing if we had to pay or how long it was going to take. We walked out and thought, "I wonder what will be wrong with the order?" We went back in about 15 minutes later to see if it was done. She came out with the order telling us what was in the bags and the price. Well, she made food I didn't order. This is the part where I immediately knew I was not coming back to this place. She began to argue with us stating this is what we ordered. I told her I ordered a23 which is Orange chicken. I did not order sesame chicken. Her response: "yes, a23 sesame chicken." Without flipping my S__, I responded, "well, if you look on your menu you will see that a23, does indeed, state orange chicken. And that's what I ordered." Did she apologize, of course not. Did she offer to make me orange chicken, of course not. She continued to Argue. So, I just said, "please just tell me what I owe so I can leave and never come back?" Yes, I understand people came make mistakes, but she doesn't even know her menu items and she was just rude. She was at full fault with no apologize. Unacceptable as a business owner. read more

I can't speak to the whole menu but I can say they have the best dumplings I've ever had! They are the type with the thicker dough, pretty sure they are handmade. An order of dumplings is enough for a meal, you get 8 per order for around $5!! read more

What is really awesome is that this place is so close to work. The staff is awesome. My usual favorites , egg rolls and dumplings are awesome. What's even more awesome is that they have cheesesteak egg rolls on the menu. I didn't think I would like them but they were actually awesome. They get my food done quickly , which is awesome. As a Chinese Food connoisseur, I take pride in enjoying great food, great service, and a great atmosphere whether dining in or taking out food for a meal. So when you only get one out of three right, it has to get a low rating. Chinese Wok is good on food, but it's probably best that you order out from this location in the future. Atmosphere - Kinda dirty and worn feel inside. From the walls that look dirty with calendars hanging up from 2013, to the green booths with wood panel covering, to the counter covered in old magazines, free papers, and a tattered order board. There's a reason this place didn't have too many people inside when I went in. They should also shut the door to the storage closet, as looking as a dirty concrete floor with wood shelving and some kids toys was not the greatest. Waitstaff - No waiters here, but my counterperson (a teenager), asked me to read off the number on the menu when I specifically told her the dish I wanted to go. Seemed overwhelmed on the phone, maybe she was just starting out or something? Really not friendly and talkative, which shouldn't be hard when you have two customers waiting in the store. Food - The 1 of the 3 areas that was pretty good. Went with a nice Sesame Chicken dinner for takeout. More of a sweet Sesame then a savory dish, but pretty good with the provided white rice. At $10, not too steep a price either. While I had a good experience with my food, I heard two separate calls in for the phone about cold wings and side dishes, so be prepared if you're ordering takeout. Intangibles - It seems as though the owners don't care with people coming in to buy food for takeout. With the complex this location is in picking up with a new gym and swim club, they could make some money here if they spent a little effort cleaning up and adding a few tables and chairs to dine in. Maybe they don't care as they look at this as a deliver only business, but those who go in now may not be tempted to go there again. Overall - If I want Chinese food after being over here, I'll go to some other places for options. Chinese Wok really needs to work on their curb appeal and interior experience. They also need to encourage counter help to be more friendly and nice to customers, as well as over the phone. Super rude on the phone to my wife. Please be careful who you ask to answer your phones. The food is fairly good overall, but with other decent options I probably won't order from here again. For the record I have between 10 and 20 orders from here. Their only saving grace was ordering online and they couldn't keep that running. read more

I would give pretty much any Chinese take out restaurant 3 stars- I'll give a 4th if they do something extra well. One of my favorite dishes is Mei Fun, and this place does a great job. Best in the area in my opinion. I've had lots of good stuff from there, but the Mei Fun stands out. My favorite: Shrimp Mei Fun with snow peas and extra scallions.. yum. read more

It's pretty much your standard menu for a Chinese restaurant but we have never been disappointed in our orders. Our favorites: wonton soup, sweet and sour chicken, beef lo mein. Best Chinese take out in Aston, hands down. They have amazing chicken and broccoli and my all time favorite general tso chicken. Im very picky about my generals and they get it perfect every time. It's not too sweet, not too hot and perfectly fried to a crunchy crisp (not that soggy chicken restaurants often serve). Their wonton soup is delicious, not too doughy and soft and has great flavor.
