Stopped by this morning and three employees were just standing around and not a single 'hello' or 'can I help you'. After looking around for about 10-minutes, left and luckily there is a Nike Store up the street in Old Town so purchased a pair of Nikes instead. I purchased some socks from this store. They were $24 I thought they were cotton. They are comprised 90 percent polyester. Polyester is a cheap material. These guys apparently charge whatever they want. I bought a pair of 990v5 shoes today, that were marked $184.99 in the store, just like on the NB web site (I just checked). When I got home, I discovered they charged me $199.99, which with tax came to $220.49. I wonder if the store got the extra, or the guy who rung me up? Either way - I will never shop at this store again! Lots of good reviews here - I guess I'm the only customer they ripped off! Or - maybe folks are not checking the price they pay against the price shown. Better pay attention! NB shoes cost enough without this 'markup'! So the manager of the store followed up next day, and we checked my receipt and the item I purchased, and it seems that I got the 990V6, which is actually $199.99. I asked the salesman for the V5 I took from the shelf, but I guess he grabbed the wrong one. I didn't even know NB offered multiple versions at the same time, but now I know. I am revising my review to reflect this development. One star off for giving me the wrong shoe. read more

I purchased a pair of new balance for $148. They are tearing, they are uncomfortable and they do not help my foot condition at all for walking. The salesman practically promised me that these shoes were it. I purchased two pairs, one for home and one for work and I am so disappointed. Due to the pandemic, I don't know if I would take or if I can take them back, the pair that I have yet to wear. He had to get them in a larger size, I don't guess that Food knew what he was doing with his wild hair. I went to the outlet looking for Reeboks, but the girl told me that new balance has taken that location. I purchase mine from the location in Pasadena. I Have been a New Balance customer for my running shoes for close to or over 20 years. I use the 990 series for running. I recently had need for walking and everyday shoes and Renne at the Pasadena store recommended the 928 for my narrow (B width) and extra arch and stability support. He was correct and after purchasing a Brown pair, then a white pair and finally a black pair. Love them fitted with the pain and stability support running orthotic and I am wearing them all day long. This place is alright.. I expected a bigger selection of shoes than what was there. Maybe some previous year models but I guess they decided to faze those out. Of course their website will have more selection I was just in the area so I didn't want to wait. They have women's, kids, and men's options. Running shoes, sports shoes, and casual/lifestyle.. I was looking for a deep red/wine colored shoe because why not?? They had a few options but only one was a casual type. I wear a size 12 and they had my size which made it easy! Besides shoes they also have clothing and other misc. stuff related to exercise. NB shoes used to have this dad vibe back in the 90's and mid 00's. I know this because it's all my dad would wear hahaha. They never really had much style.. but they have stepped their shoe game up in the last few years. If I could give zero stars for lack of customer service and feeling belittled I would. My wife and I went there to return her full priced shoes bought at a New Balance Factory Store. Honestly I never knew this was a franchise store but promptly was "man-splained" by the worker in his 30's how the franchise store isn't responsible for taking returns and if he did he wouldn't be able to sell it. After 10 minutes of a rant about how their corporate office "screwing" them over, we left with zero direction besides taking it back to a factory store despite the receipt saying "returns taken by any new balance store". Note to franchisee, possible training opportunity here? You're paying a franchise fee for having an employee/manager speak openly about their hatred for the brand? read more

The worst service I have ever received. Was not greeted when i walked in, which is fine but then was not greeted or even asked what I needed when I was literally standing in their face. There was a gentleman at the register counting their cash, I waited so long I finally had to ask for help and the same gentleman who was what looked like closing out told me to wait and that someone would be with me soon. Walked in here a couple of weeks ago with my extra wide feet and was immediately asked if I needed help (I believe his name was Sergio). He offered to take a scan of my feet to help me determine proper fitting. It's been impossible for me to find basketball shoes for wide feet from other brands, but the TWO WXY V2's felt amazing.
