It's been a while since I had this experience but today I was in Dick's and I saw Emily the cashier again and I was reminded that I wanted to leave her a very positive review I needed to do an exchange because i bought girl socks and needed boy nike socks. But i misplaced the receipt and was unable to do the exchange for the correct item.. This was frustrating for me and i got upset but Emily went out of her way to ease my frustration with a 10$ credit towards the new purchase if the correct item and just gave overall great customer service! read more

Came into Dick's Sporting Goods to buy shoes for my son and paid cash. The cashier (Skyler) inspected every $20 bill like it was counterfeit, marked each one, and counted them three different times. My total was $254 and I handed her thirteen $20 bills. I understand checking bills, but the way it was handled was excessive and uncomfortable. Paying customers shouldn't be treated like suspects for using cash. read more

I tried to give Dick's Sporting Goods the benefit of the doubt, but their customer service is terrible. I asked an employee for help finding an MLB baseball, and he rudely just pointed over there before going back to what he was doing. I was still completely lost on where to find the item, so I decided to leave. I ended up buying the baseball at Big 5 instead, where the customer service was excellent. I'm not going back. I've actually had great customer service at this location. The cashiers are always helpful when I had a question or concern and a lot of them go out of their way to help track down items for me. Compared to the other Dicks in the area, this locations is probably the best to go to if you need advice on a mitt for your kid or what golf balls to get for your dad. read more

Terrible customer service! Went to buy soccer cleats for my daughter on Labor Day...used their scan device to have someone bring the cleats to us. We ended up waiting 10 minutes until I asked a guy (the only person that seemed to be working there in the shoe department) what was up with the wait. He said the system didn't work (no sign on the device). Two other employees "appeared" to be working in the shoe department also, but quickly ran back to "get shoes" every time a customer approached them and would reappear with no shoes in hand. The only person willing to help mentioned that the shoes we liked were the last ones and we would have to purchase the display pair. I wasn't in love with the idea due to some noticeable wear from people trying them on, but I agreed. He said tell the cashier to give me a discount due to them being display shoes. When we got to the cashier to purchase the cleats, "Metzi" (I believe that's her name) she declined a discount of any kind and quickly asked me to pay the full amount with no care in the world. When i explained to her these were display shoes that were probably worn by who knows how many people, she didn't give a damn in the world. Body language and condescending tone of voice "oh yeah, that's too bad" said it all. With the amount of negative reviews for this location, I'm surprised they're still in business. This will be our final visit. Get your business together Dick! Hire employees that actually care about doing their jobs. read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but my most recent experience left me feeling shocked and extremely disappointed. At checkout, I asked the associate, Skylar, if the 25% discount posted above the backpacks had been applied. The sign clearly stated "25% off selected backpacks" and was placed directly above the backpacks I was purchasing. She immediately dismissed me and said it was only for shorts. When I pointed out what the sign said, she repeated herself and was not open to listening. I purchased the backpack anyway and went back to double-check the sign with another employee on the floor. He confirmed that the sign was for backpacks and said he would honor the discount. He walked me back to the register to let Skylar know. She again dismissed me and insisted it was only for shorts because it wasn't ringing up as discounted, then turned her back to me while I was speaking and continued to ignore me. At that point, I was completely shocked by her behavior. I mentioned that my husband and I had previously experienced similar dismissive behavior from her. She then smiled, told me "have a nice day," and pointed me toward the exit - three times- while I was standing there with my 8-year-old son. I was embarrassed, hurt, and shocked to be treated so disrespectfully as a paying customer. Our family has spent thousands of dollars at this location over the years, and we support this store because it is part of our local little league. Customer service like this is unacceptable. No one should be made to feel belittled or dismissed for simply asking a question. I truly hope management takes this seriously and addresses this behavior. read more

I have been coming to this Dick's Sporting Goods location for many years even before when it was a chick's location back in the day. Overall, everything is very organized and even though often times I purchase things online sometimes I just want to physically feel what the product looks likes. I placed an online order and picked up in store. It was a very easy process. When I enter the store there was a kiosk that could actually scan a barcode that came in my confirmation email that I totally missed. But the team members here were very helpful and were able to accommodate me and get me the shirt that I had ordered. I was in and out of store within a couple of minutes. There is plenty of parking here in this plaza but depending on where in a plaza you're trying to go, I can be very crowded since there are a lot of shops in here. If you're coming to Dick's, I'll try to park on the back corner where it's a little less congested. Be sure to sign up for their loyalty program so you're able to get points for your purposes. read more

Totally agree with the one-star negative reviews about this place. Service is terrible! Went in to buy a shirt. Walk up to the register and the woman behind the counter (name on the receipt is Emily) not only doesn't greet me but she refuses to even make eye contact! I actually greeted her and politely asked a simple question. Again, the whole time she never makes eye contact or smile, just has the same sour expression on her face. She scans the item and gives a one word answer--again, refusing to even look at me. After I pay, she just puts the bag in front of me and moves on--no thank you or anything! Absolutely ZERO customer service. The only employees anywhere to be seen were the cashiers (big surprise) and they barely had time to take people's money. After not being able to get help for more than 30 minutes I decided to leave and two green shirts returning from break walked in as I was walking out. Horrific customer service - asked an associate for help with a glove and he literally said "just go over there and they should all fit" hahaha really? They should all fit? My wife and I stopped by Dick's today, browsing through several different departments. We hadn't planned to make any purchases, however when walking through the sneaker department, we were approached by a sales representative, Dylan, who greeted us with a very friendly smile. He asked whether we were looking for anything in particular and immediately offered to assist. My wife explained that we were just browsing, but also said that we might be interested in a lite weight sneaker for me. Dylan explained that there were several good options in different brands and offered to assist. He was so nice and helpful that we agreed to see what's available. Long story short, Dylan took the time to show us several different brands and types, then worked with us on size, width, styles and colors. We inquired about the availability of Velcro as opposed to standard laces. In response he showed us a special shoe lace that quickly secures a sneaker with minimal effort. Dick's has such a wide ranging selection of sneakers which had previously discouraged us from taking time to sort through all of the many options. If not for Dylan's friendly and professional assistance this would likely have been just another fast pass through the department. We very much appreciated his assistance without a hard sell or feeling any pressure to make a final decision or immediate purchase. We purchased New Balance sneakers, Lock Laces and a tee shirt. Date: 12/7/25, 3:36PM, Store: 932 Trans: 9702 Frankly, this was equal to the best customer service that we've experienced anywhere we shop. I came into the store to look for a kayak. I walked the entire store and didn't see any so I asked one of the three three team members if they sold any fishing equipment. Without even a smile or acknowledgement, she said "No". Whatever. I walked by at least three team members and none of them acknowledged me, said good morning, or anything. They just stood there or walked away as soon as I approached. Customer service at this store is horrible. As I walked out of the store, I did see a fishing rod behind one of their registers. I usually come here to get my baseball gear and its a decent store. The staff will help you and the last time we had a staff help us, he found the right baseball glove with good quality and it was cheap! Not all things are cheap like baseballs for 4 dollars but those are hard to make so i can kinda see why they are that expensive. Other than sports stuff, they have good shoes, clothes, and many other stuff. They even used to have a batting cage to test out baseball bats but now they filled it up with shoes which is bad. it's such a huge Chain store with the personnel that had no clue what was going on ask three people for information or directions to different parts of the store looking for certain items. None of them knew anything other than the department they were working in very poorly trained, and I would not recommend this company. The only reason they're doing any business. They are the only major store offering many of the gear that people need I would think the smaller sporting good stores that you have to search out are actually much better and their prices are as good or better than Dick's. I love this location in Pasadena due to Easy parking, customer service has always been friendly, and I always find something I love. What a joke this store is. My son got a bat as a gift but it was slightly too big. I was told it was from this store but they couldn't find the receipt. I went into their website and read throughly about the stores return Policy. Clearly stating you could get store credit with a valid id. I figured I would just immediately rebuy the same bat in a smaller size, but nope .What does Cameron at the register tell me? She points to a little printed sign behind the register saying they don't do returns without a receipt as of December .Even though it's in their policy and on their receipt that they do. I ask for the manager who tells me they are part of a "pilot" store that stopped this. Pilot for what? To see how many customers will be mad? Wild. I get the customer service number from Shao and call from my car. Wouldn't ya know... they sent me back in the store to exchange my bat. How ya like me now, Shao? Look if it wasn't part of your policy then I wouldn't have even tried. But you can not lie to your customers . It's wrong and maybe even illegal . I'll never give this location my money again. He never wore the shoes outside, yet the manager claimed they looked like he had worn them on a field. Any dirt on the cleats was from trying them on at their store! This was my 1st time at this location. This will also be my last. My husband bought me a pair of shoes for Christmas. I wore them twice to the store. They're just too long. I called the manufacturer for an exchange and they told me to go back to Dicks, where he bought the shoes, and they can exchange them for us. So we did just that. The shoes were NOT dirty. Dicks also told me via customer service, to go to any store for an exchange. Emily helped us. What a ray of piss and vinegar. She reprimanded my husband and I on Dicks exchange policy. had a frustrating experience at this location when I tried to return two World Series shirts, still with all the tags attached. The cashier informed me that the shirts were considered "limited merchandise" and, according to the store manager, I couldn't return them in-store. I was told to try returning them at a different location. However, after reaching out to customer service, they clarified that all stores follow the same return policy and I should have been entitled to a return. Now, I'm left with no option but to return the shirts by mail, which is inconvenient and disappointing given the lack of clear communication. read more

My nephew used to work at this location and had a great experience as an employee here. So, I went in the store today at approximately 12:45 PM. It was not busy in ANY of the departments. Wanted to try on AND PURCHASE a pair of Hoka shoes for my "senior citizen" feet. I heard they were awesome. Well, I went into the very quiet, customer-free shoe department and was greeted almost immediately by a pleasant young man. We decided on a shoe, he went to grab it for me and that's where the experience went downhill. I sat there for what literally seemed to be 10 minutes waiting for him to return with my shoes to try on. It took SO long that I finally went to the door of the back room to find out what was going on. There he was, chopping it up with a male and female employee. When I asked what was taking so long, they responded that "he's getting your shoes now". Okay...so he handed me the shoes, I walked back over to my seat and tried them on. He did follow me out briefly, but then returned to that back room. I tried them on and waited! Then I waited a bit more! Put my shoes on and walked out. They literally lost a sale because I loved the shoes. I truly hated to post a negative review. Unfortunately, the customer service was severely lacking. This place is a perfect example of why big box stores are closing down. Went in on Friday afternoon looking for some golf clubs as I had won a gift card in a raffle at a golf outing. There was no one working in the golf area, or anywhere else one the floor that I could see. Went to the cash register and asked if they could get someone to help me in the golf department. 15 minutes later still no help. Saw a well dressed gentleman with a portfolio in his hand and asked if he worked there, he laughed and said no, he was there for an interview. We spoke for a moment and he was nicer than any of the employees. Finally I had enough after being in the store close to half an hour without being helped. Decided I would just use the gift card to buy golf balls, and wouldn't you know it the ones I wanted were locked up. Went back to the cashier who was tapping on her phone and asked for someone to unlock the case and get the balls for me. She said she would call someone, lol, I had enough and left. Will just regift the card. Funny thing as well, when I left there I went to another store and got a few things I needed then I ran into the gentleman I had spoke to earlier and asked him how his interview went. He laughed and said he waited over 45 minutes and no one ever came to speak with him. Told him he was probably better off and he readily agreed. Will never set foot in one their stores ever again. COVID-19: Social distancing is enforced at this establishment. All of the staff wears a mask. All customers are expected to wear a mask too. Some of the staff also wear gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. While I was here doing some shopping in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: In this shopping center, there are plenty of parking spots, so you don't have to worry about parking at all. Prepandemic parking was a breeze. I never really worried about parking except during the holiday season. Black Friday parking can be a pain. But during the pandemic, there are a lot of spots available. The spots are pretty big and wide. You don't have to worry about people dinging your car. Store: The store here is well organized, tidy, clean, and neat. The aisles are a bit wide. Everything is placed in a manner that makes sense. Staff: The staff here are very nice and helpful. I was just here looking at some water sports stuff, and I had three employees ask me if I needed any help while I was there. Awesome customer service here. Very impressed. read more

A week ago, I purchased three $40 Nike water bottles. After using them for a couple of days, I noticed that one of the bottles was leaking, while the others were perfectly fine. I returned to the store to request an exchange, but they refused, stating that because the bottle had been used, they couldn't take it back. I explained that the leak was due to a defect and not my fault, but they said they couldn't resell it since it had no tags and had already been used. This didn't sit well with me, as I was sold a defective item, and they should have exchanged it and properly handled the faulty product. I'm not one to argue, but given that I paid $40 per bottle, I expected better service. I won't be shopping at this overpriced store again! read more

My wife sent me on a mission to pick up a yoga/pilates exercise mat and I was very quickly directed to the back area of the story where I found about six different choices. I narrowed it down to two and did the intelligent thing: attempted to call my wife to describe (or take pictures of) the choices. She, naturally, had her phone silenced and so I did the next intelligent thing: I bought both, after Winnie ("Like in Winnie The Pooh") assured me there would be no problem returning one as long as it had not been used and I had the receipt. I brought the two home and my wife quickly chose the one I didn't think she would have. So...very glad I hadn't gone with my first instinct! I brought the unchosen one back and Winnie welcomed me with an open register and quickly issued the refund. She could not have been more helpful or efficient. A good spot to update your gym gear including water bottles, home gym stuff, workout clothing, shoes, etc. My favs are Nike and VRST (kinda like Lululemon). They also carry Underarmor and a few other brands as well if that's your thing. Shoe section is pretty extensive and worth checking out to try on your size if you're unsure about purchasing online. Staff is chill and helpful. It's also worth stopping by the nearby Nordstrom Rack as well to peruse their workout clothing as well. read more
