bought a quart of hot n sour soup. I got home and the plastic container was split on the sides and soup leak ing out when I got home. It's not close but I pass it going home from work. I called and they told me I dropped it and they will not give me another one on my way home tomorrow. They will never see me again.would give no stars if I could. My friend became violently ill with food poisoning from the General Tso's chicken. My dish was bland and average at best but at least I didn't have to spend days in misery afterwards. I ordered barb q spare ribs combo for myself and my wife had pepper steak. I did not enjoy my BBQ ribs as it tasted dry and probably cooked too many times. I have given this place one too many chances. The food is decent as is most fast food Chinese takeout out here in the Hamptons. But the amount of rudeness and lack of customer service overshadows the desire for their cooking. A year ago, I the main lady owner was n front charged me for chili oil)none of The other 6 other Chinese takeouts out here ever charge). I took a break and decided to give them a second chance. For the past year I've been ordering regularly and giving them at least $20 tip aka 30-40%). When I just made an order, I I asked for my usual large wonton soup with a one times separate since I don't want it to be soggy when I eat it later. They told me it was a dollar extra to separate the wontons (the other 6 never charge extra). So I canceled my order and walked out. As a fellow business owner, they're short sightedness, and blatant rudeness is it worth spending my money here. I would rather drive 10 miles to give them any more business. Two minute drive to Chen's Chinese where everybody is so nice and accommodating. In these times, Amal businesses can't be a jerks and take advantage of regular customers and expect no backlash. And because one of my luxury company's I own had a location out here, I find this place the rudest and most shortsighted! They may get one dollar extra for separating wontons from the soup but the amount of money I've spent in the last year plus generous tips, makes the business owner's greed and rudeness cost her hundreds of dollars from a year round customer- I'd be glad to pay $50 extra to business owners that show more appreciation for regular year round customers that tip well! I travel aloe and I eat a lot of Chinese food and I can't believe some of these reviews, I find it to be some of the best tasting food I've had in awhile. When we lived in Syosset (both teachers), if we came home late, we were regulars at May Loong. 20+ years in the Hamptons, the home to bad to okay take outs. This is the best. Not perfect. The food was pretty good, but not an allergy friendly place. They were confident over the phone about gluten/dairy free options/modifications on the menu... very unfortunately the food ended up not being gluten free. I started going there a few years ago, and the food was pretty good and I liked the spare ribs on the bone. But lately, the last few times I've gotten their ribs they were over cooked, and told them please don't over cook them. Tonight I got them and they were the worst! Great Food. Chicken and Beef choices were yummy.Lo mien was delicous. One thing that is needed though is an on line menu.

Simply put, this is not good Chinese food. The BBQ spare ribs don't have much meat and are not tender at all. The beef in the beef w/ broccoli is a strange color and fatty, just does not taste good. And the fried rice is yellow rice. Don't waste your money here like I did. The two stars are for their nice customer service and speedy preparation, but like I said the food is bad. read more
