First time visiting this town and we were really craving Asian food. Owner and Chef Rose was incredibly kind and welcoming. She even allowed us to make a special request for stir-fried eggs with tomatoes. If you grew up eating Chinese home cooking, you know how satisfying that simple dish can be. This is the first time I've been here, but I see a sign that says its under new ownership. The people running this restaurant are very friendly, and the prices are on par with other Chinese food restaurants I go to. I ordered the teriyaki chicken appetizers, steamed dumplings, and hot and sour soup. The teriyaki chicken was delicious! I didn't try the dumplings because I ordered them for someone else, but they loved them! But the hot and sour soup is my main reason for taking the time to leave a review. I am super picky about hot and sour soup, and have only been to 2 places where I like it. Before today, that is. Oh my goodness, this hot and sour soup is the best...the absolute BEST I have tasted! I am thrilled to have found a place so close (half an hour away), that serves not just a decent hot amd sour, but an amazing hot and sour soup!!! Check this place out! The owner responded to a previous review making the insinuation that it was after a 12 pack. First off, that's my character you're slandering and I don't drink. He also said "not in 40 years of service has any Chinese restaurant served a large order of rangoons with a meal." Well when I order an ORDER of rangoons I expect a whole order. If you didn't understand my order you should have asked. I'm so glad I didn't get them though because they were disgusting . I didn't finish the one I got. Also fried rice isn't yellow because of food coloring it's yellow because of turmeric, eggs, and or saffron. Your fried rice was disgusting. I haven't been back since you've taken over and as a person carrying 10 years as a yelp elite, one star isn't something I give away lightly. You earned it and your response shows how terrible of a business owner you are. My husband and I were regulars here before you took over and since then we haven't been back. I was so looking forward to some Chinese food. We ordered 4 dinners and we received a call about 20 minutes later the restaurant didn't have snow peas or shrimp so they couldn't make two of the four meals. We ordered a single garlic chicken meal instead. After picking up our food about 45 minutes later, it went completely down hill. My husband ordered Szechuan chicken and it looked the same as my garlic chicken. The veggies were onions and green and red peppers cooked to death - wilty and greasy. The dishes pretty much tasted the same too, which was not good. The fried rice was sad. I also had an egg roll that was not as good as frozen ones in the grocery store. Overall - blech! Plus, it wasn't cheap. I will never go back. read more

The new owner is super nice and friendly! I asked to make a dish more traditional using Mala spice and she was really happy to do it! I was really surprised at the quality and how good it tasted. I got the szechuan beef btw. When you call ask for the owner and try something more authentic! I promise you won't regret it! My only complaint is that the guy who works there seems a little stressed and unsure about how the register and stuff works. Hopefully he's new and just getting use to everything and I wish him good luck. read more

Amazing! While I have personally been there 1 time when they said said they were out of egg rolls. Minor inconvenience, as every other time I've never been told they were out of something. I am understanding of the difficulty of matching stock to customers. We ended up getting crab Rangoons in place of the egg rolls and they were amazing. Me and my significant other have tried the orange chicken, sesame chicken, and general Tao chicken every one fulfilling our desires. Absolutely amazing establishment the fried rice is the best fried rice I've ever had. I seen reviews unhappy with the white color of the fried rice but Ms.Rosa insisted we tried the fried rice and we have never craved rice until now. Thank you New China! read more
